• Shooting stars only happen between 7 pm and 4 am. There are two main types:

• Heavy meteor showers: These are usually announced by Isabelle and discussed by villagers, with stars shooting in groups of 5 to 8 roughly every minute or so during the whole night. These are pretty rare, averaging around 10 per year.
• Light meteor showers: Only a handful of 5-star groups shoot each hour, if said hour has a clear sky. These average between 5-10 per month.
• Note that weather patterns use a seed and are set in stone for your island, including when the shooting stars will appear, to the second. You can use Ninji's MeteoNook app (https://wuffs.org/acnh/weather/) to help determine your seed and get your weather and shooting stars forecast for your island.

The newest villager to move in can't ask to move out, but can be moved out with a camper or an amiibo

Personally I find I might jump ahead a month to look for thought bubbles and as I go day by day a villager will spawn in my campsite, but I don’t believe that’s the most effective way to do it. I’d advise perhaps looking at some YouTube videos or online tutorials of it (not sure if there’s a resource for it here) to find out other methods and how others do it to find what is most effective and easy for you.

They do not, their floor furniture gets reset so they might have confused that with this.

Their house becomes standard layout + floor furniture gets reset. If they ahve gifted furniture that goes on surface they might place those. And they will carry gifted clothes.
