Is there any precedent/glitch for a villager that absolutely will not give you their photo? I have a pretty good method and have collected a lot of photos, but Reneigh refuses to cough one up.

Or is it always "She gave it to you and you lost/sold it"?

I found this on reddit while searching for the 'fruit stack trick' mentioned above ... is this true?: "Normally, the game dictates that when a villager is gifted something with a sell value (defined here as the value an item sells for to Timmy and Tommy) of 250 bells or above, there's a 50% chance that the villager will give you an item of clothing or furniture, and a 50% chance that the villager will give you bells."

Specifically the last sentence. I have never had a villager in NH give me bells.
