Hello everyone my husband had a weird thing happen on his island. So we used to share and island and he recently go his own Switch and bought his own copy of acnh and he moved himself and his house to the new island instead of starting completely from scratch. We had Weber on our island and I recently let him leave and my husband asked him to move to his new island. Once Weber moved in, not only was he able to give Weber a gift on the first day, but Weber gave him his picture. Could this be something to do with their previous friendship on what used to be our island?

Ah makes sense. It's a sort of unique situation, but generally you should be able to invite new villagers once your campsite visitor has moved in.

I can’t get a particular villager to leave. I don’t time travel. Different villager asks to leave everyday and I turn game off when I see who it is. It’s the most recent villager to join the island. Is that have something to do with it? It’s been 3 months and I try to talk to them since close villagers seem to ask to leave more. Am I just that unlucky?

@knotty sky by watering it. Flowers can duplicate by itself though (mainly if it rains, expect for flowers to duplicate). If you want to breed flowers, you need to water.

Once your villager is in boxes, he will leave the next day. You can begin to search for a new villager ONLY if you have an open plot (meaning, your villager has already left your island)
