If you go to the main screen of animal crossing, you press the minus button. Tom Nook will appear along with the option for Nook Link. Relink through that. Once that's done, go to Nook Link on the switch app, settings and then change player

If it's the first three house plots you placed, you need to also submit the required furniture at their donation boxes
If you're further than that point in the storyline, even if you place multiple plots at once, you can only invite one villager from mystery islands per day

If you are hitting with a stone axe, you can hit it three times for wood pieces without it being destroyed (stone axes do not cut trees down). If it's an axe, then two times would protect the trees from being cut down. There's a twice a day maximum to prevent cutting down if you are using an axe. Flimsy and stone axes do not cut down trees though so you may want to use those types to get all three pieces from each tree.

Nooks cranny always carries your native and sister flowers, and 1 more that is random. I don't remember if they change at all though. Leif usually changes stock in flowers once a week, though crops and shrubs don't always change.

The S2 edition is just an upgrade of the game, not another game. You will keep everything

Unfortunately you can't change the representative resident without reseting the island completely. However, if one day you get your own console and game, you will still be able to migrate your character from your friend's console to your own island (so keep your progression) and become the resident representative of your own island.

Oh, sorry I thought you knew! Basics theres a DIY item called glow in the dark stickers. You can customize them with custom designs and hang them on the wall to achieve that kind of (faux) window/ curtain, etc… look.

If you dont have online you would have to create the window pieces yourself and be lucky to come across that DIY recipe on your own, but if you ever decide to get online then i’ll gladly make you some!

In the past I would mass send the maximum 24 items of clothing I picked for a villager to fix their wardrobe by mailing it. I mailed all 24 in the picture on Friday night, waited the usual day on Saturday, and Kabuki finally received the items today, Sunday.

It worked except it kept this bath towel, and seemingly the colorful striped sweater wasn't received. At first I thought I miscalculated as villager wardrobes must have 4 hats and 4 accessories but no, I correctly have 4 of each so it shouldn't have affected it.

I guess I'm asking if anyone has an idea of what happened? Is there just another delay in the mail and the bath towel will be kicked out tomorrow and I'll see the colorful sweater? Or is there some wardrobe shenanigans I missed? Yesterday Kabuki was walking around in it and the windflower crown (which I kept and also sent to him again) but I'm not sure if that affects anything.

Yes, evolving on HHP makes you able to order almost anything thanks to their catalog, so you can get items for your own islands more easily.
And you will unlock the ability to change room sizes, use wall partitions and pillars for the hotel as well.

The hotel also uses the HHP's catalog so you would have far more items to use (if you didn't complete your main one yet)

try this - Sync back to real time. Talk to all your villagers once. Save and close then try to tt just 15 days at 12:30 pm look for bubble don’t talk to anyone no bubble close the game then tt 1 day forward. rinse and repeat until that bubble lands on your target. skip weekends if you got kk unlocked

I have a Switch with ACNH digital, where I have my current island. I've been really wanting to get into terraforming and full on island design, however my current island name doesn't match the theme I want to go for.

I would just reset my island however I have built quite a big bank and cateloge that I'm not wanting to fully give up.

I've been exploring some options on how to proceed forward and would like some advice on the matter.

I'm leaning towards having two islands, but I know that comes with the need to have a second switch or switch 2. Is it worth it?

IMO flattening your island would always be better than resetting a 6-yo island. Especially as nowadays you can take benefits of Resetti's services to clean areas very quickly.

Catalog isn't the only thing to take into account, I would even say it is the least important one. Cause there is also any building, friendship, museum progression, DIY, and so on. it's a lot of work to set up back all those things you got over years.

So if the goal is just to redecorate your island completely, and not to start again the whole game, I would advice to never reset it, but rather flatten your island and start decorating back.

In this case as you said, it unfortunately requires to have two different console. You can only have one island per console.
Alternatively if it is really just about decorating, you could also play on slumber islands, but you won't have villagers and everything on it.

Okay so I’m using the time traveling method to get some villagers off my island and it’s not working.

I’m following a guide that says to travel a month in advance then skip a day till I find a bubble on the villagers I don’t want. And then if I don’t find one skip one more day. Etc.

I HAVE DONE THIS for 30 days and ABSOLUTELY no bubble appeared for anyone.

I didn’t think that was possible.

When you are about to farm bells and don't plan to buy so much, like for example in summer with expensive bugs and fishes, you can turn on the bell boom ordinance during some days, so you can sell your stuff for a better price, and then turn it off when you plan to order expensive items.

Some people also constantly play with it as, if ever one of the hot items at Nook's Cranny appears to be the Pile of cash one day, you can exploit it and get 20% extra bells with it, so basically get infinite bells. This trick isn't possible without this ordinance, as it would be sold for how much it would have cost to craft it.

Concerning your other question, Nook Friday is an event in November where eveything has a 30% off sale in Nook's Cranny.

Just a quick follow up to my question I posted here in this channel over a month ago: #game-help-questions❓ message

tl;dr of my question: I wasn't able to reach a certain mystery island with Kapp'n's boat tour and Katrina's "Luck with Belongings", no matter how many times I resetted the game. All I got are either winter or bamboo island. I wasn't sure if this was a bug or an intended mechanic from the game.

It turns out that the game indeed has a mechanic, that CAN restrict the availability of mystery islands. Basically the game aims to let players visit all mystery islands equally. When a player visits a certain mystery island more often than the others, this mystery island will be removed from the list of available mystery islands until all remaining island have been visited equally again.

At this early stage of the game there is no objective advice to give. If you don't have many DIY you don't want to lose, your catalog is quite empty and you have way to catalog your favorite items back quickly, and if you absolutely want to change your island's layout (resident services location, pier location, river mouths, beaches rocks...) then yeah, you could definitively reset. Just be sure that there will be nothing you would regret afterwards.

I feel you! I know in past games the villagers would notice and complain if you had any spelling errors so maybe its something similar here. I think in order for you to get the best rating you cant say any bad words, can’t attach any garbage/ weeds, and have to use proper spelling, punctuation and paragraphs but as far as im aware sending letter doesn’t actually increase your friendship with said villager so unless youre sending them F-bombs with garbage attached to the letter (that can actually decrease friendship significantly i think) it probably doesn’t matter if its too short

There's no functional difference but different personalities give you different DIYs and different Reactions so not having any of them means you're missing out on those entirely

Also be careful just from a sanity pov... villager dialogue is locked in at the personality level. So those 3 lazies all talk the same. And so do those 3 Normals

is there possibly a technical reason why i cannot catch a moray eel on someone elses island? its the correct month and moray eels spawn all day. ive spent at least 100 bait trying to catch one. ive caught several ribbon eels, but no moray. is there a reason why? or am i just extremely unlucky?

Ribbon eels have no catch requirements so is it possible the player hosting you does not have the catch requirements done for the moray eels? They need to have caught 20 fish to unlock it.

Both have a low spawn rate so if it's not a spawn requirement issue, it appears that you're just having very little luck with RNG.

You just have to find the correct shadow in the ocean, the ocean sunfish has a lower spawn rate than moray eels and ribbon eels (the eels have the same spawn rate so it seems like you are just hitting an unlucky spawn when you see the shadow).

I'm at a loss. Apologies for long post. I've felt assured about the breakdown of Villager clothing inventory but now I'm just confused.

Context A: There's nothing out there on hkw villager clothing inventory works, even 6 years later. At least none that I can find
Context B:
I figured out eventually that it's 8 tops/dress ups, 4 hats, 4 accessories, and 8 free slots for 24 total. What I never figured out is how they cycle out clothing, as it is not as simple as whatever is the oldest piece of clothing they have. One part that I figured out is that it's dependent on the category (a top can never kick out one of the 4 hats), but otherwise there seems to be more to it.

Anyways I'm yapping: why in the world does Kabuki have 25 (twenty-five) pieces of clothing? I just checked his wardrobe after attempting to kick out this nightmare of a bath towel, and it turns out he has all the things I gifted him AND STILL this bath towel

Is there anyone that can enlighten me? I know I can now use isabelle to fix it but now I feel like I've been going at this wrong because I've never seen 25 pieces of clothing. Custom Designs is its own inventory, so it's not taking that up. The only thing I can think of is that I gifted him his default outfit (the kabuki yukata) and I never did figure out if villagers will permanently have their default clothing which can never be deleted

It doesn’t matter as long as they’re snooty or cranky. Just pock the ones you find cutest/ coolest. They have minimal differences via cranky type A or cranky type B as well as different hobbies, but at the end theyre basically all the same with the same rewards

It is possible, you are just entering somehow wrong data, skip event days, days you created a player, and be as vague as possible, until you have only one weather pattern left for the day, if you enter star tiles be as vague as possible, don't enter seconds. Lastly be careful to enter the weather at the start of the hour. The weather transitions 6h00 is way more accurate than 6h35.
