It reduces how fast weeds will spawn and lowers the cap on how many spawn, but it doesn't get rid of weeds entirely! It also won't remove weeds that have already grown--you'll need Leif for that

The only permanent shops are the ones the island's resident representative can place in the early game, and everything else decoration-wise needs to be done by the players using furniture and terraforming, should you want your island to have a more urban setting

I got the nook miles for the decorate a hotel nook miles achievement being 20 out of 20. The other one is stuck on 9 out of 10. Will I be rewarded with it tomorrow or do I have to wait for another tourist with a thought bubble to come?

Yes, that's the reason why the rock is not appearing: on a new day weeds appear first, then a rock appears in the remaining spots; if there aren't any remaining spots for a rock, then it won't spawn!

Though according to https://gardenscience.ac/ two blue roses (2220) can only produce blue roses, so I'm not sure how you ended up having a purple one. Is there any other possible set of genes for the blue rose?

I noticed there's different diys for the pillars and counters from the dlc, and my app says to aquire them by donating materials. I don't remember ever doing that, is there a place at the work island to donate for them?

And second for the hotel- is the new items (marble, art etc) the same as the nook mile items in the sense that you only ever get one color in the catalog?

To unlock the pillars and counters, you need to drop a certain amount of materials in Niko's crafting box at the first floor of Lottie's agency.
(for the hotel new furniture items, I don't know so I can't answer)

Yeah, the other tools are DIYs you get. For the axe you need to break 100 axes, watering can through getting a 5 star island. You will get those automatically added to the DIY app

To be more precise, it's the DIYs for those tools that aren't supposed to be tradable, as you normally learn them on the spot; if someone has it as a DIY card, that means that card was generated through hacks.
But if you mean just the tools themselves, they all can be traded like any normal item (note that they aren't unbreakable, though, they just take longer to break)

wait until the camper is moved in, starting that point you'll need an empty plot to see villagers. be careful you can only adopt from mystery island once a day, and you'll only be garanteed the plot to be empty the day you place it

2. The tarantulas will only attack you if they have already reared up on their hind legs and you continue moving. As soon as you see it rear up, stop moving until it goes back down on all its legs again.

3. Dig a safety zone using a shovel. Tarantulas cannot cross holes dug by a shovel, while your character can jump over the holes. Use this as a safe zone to lure them in, then catch them across the gap.

I have about 17k. Its an endless game. For the tutorial (getting to 3 stars) with tt it takes about 3 or 4 days if you grind, without tt its uhhhh. Prolly a few weeks at least. But getting to 5 stars varies. Ive still never achieved it (though I do restart a lot which is half of it). If you have hhp, that can take a few days to complete with or without tt. I dont know how long it takes to complete the hotel in its entirety tbh.
Id say the end goal is a perfect island (5 stars) and a perfect hotel (400+ points)

At the end of the day though, best way to play is just to have fun

You basically "can't" force a villager to always wear a specific outfit. You could saturate its clothes pool by gifting it a lot of clothes, until its inventory only contains the ones you gifted it, but it would randomly choose what to wear among them depending on the season / weather / current activity.
And even with this trick, they can still sometimes choose to wear a pattern displayed in Able Sisters.

If even you wonder, villagers can store a total of 24 clothes items:

• 8 shirts/dresses
• 4 hats
• 4 face accessories
• 8 wildcard

for this game it's all about the journey and now you don't really have a reason to do the quests

There is a chunk check limitation, they can't grow if there are more than 12 or so in a 9x9 area. You can isolate the tree of the middle elsewhere, let it grow, and then plant it back here.

Not that I know, I traded with many people without any issue on any side, so it is also fine for all of them I guess.
However, people having bought the S2 edition may sometimes accidentally open their gates with the 12 players handling mode, in such case, you won't be able to join them if you don't own the S2 edition as well. But orville should warn you about that specifically.

Sadly there is nothing you could do, you need to wait for the next day. You have 30% chance for a plot to be taken each day, and can only invite one villager per day on mystery islands

If you're about to place more plots in the future, be sure to only place them one by one, not on the same day, so you can hunt your villagers adequately

And if I'm not wrong gifting clothing kicks out the oldest of its type. So maximum gifted villagers will cycle through their items by time...but I don't recall how it works with accessories and hats.

Step 4 is a whole lottery, the only reliable flowers are the red ones you got from step 3.
The orange/red/black roses you get from step 4 won't necessarily have the right genes to produce blue roses. In order to speed up the process, and if you can afford it (because it takes a lot of space) they still recommend to spread them randomly (in another turtle formation or so, no matter how you place them) away enough from the main 3-steps red roses turtle garden, and wish some of them have the right genes and produce blue roses.

But you will probably get a blue rose from the step 3 red roses turtle before any miracle happens from the step 4 flowers.

Honestly, if it sounds to confusing, I would rather advice you to stay with the step-3 red roses, and throw away any flower they produce that aren't blue roses. Using space to have a bunch of step-2 setup to produce step-3 red roses in large amounts would probably be better than using your space for the step 4 method.

you will unlock the island designer app on your phone when your island reaches 3 stars that allows you to terraform your island (changing cliffs & rivers and adding paths).

once you upgrade your resident services building, speaking with tom nook will allow you to move facilities, your home, and residents homes around the island.

there is no "build mode" like there is when rearramging the interior of your home tho, as unfortunate as that is.

The initial ones you get when you unlock terraforming are grass path, and dirt path. Cliff scaping and water scaping cost 6k nook miles each to unlock.

I'm an avid gifter. Before Happy Home I was doing gymnastics trying make every house better. But wardrobes? It drove me bonkers.

I eventually figured out that it's 8 tops, 8 extra slots, 4 hats, 4 eyewear/accessories. So instead of fixing and resetting clothing I just gift bombed 24 pieces of clothing I selected through their tastes and checked out on Harv's via mail

Bam problem solved Until another villager decided to say sorry and mess up the wardrobe I picked but that's a whole other thing.
