So, as of right now, you have visited the hotel at least once to decorate a room or two for 3 days, which means that you will need to come back and decorate the rooms for another two days to finish the second achievement.

On the day you place the plot, it’ll be vacant. You can go to nook mile islands and villagers will show up there that you can invite to live in that plot.

Also, if the plot is vacant (when it’s taken there’s a red sign on the front saying sold, you click on it to see who’s taken the plot) you can also go to someone else’s island and ask a villager that’s moving out to move in. People usually call this “in boxes” as the villager moving out has everything in their home boxed up for one day, their final day on the old island before moving out

Just fyi, you can pick up and move trees with a shovel if you've eaten fruit (as it makes you temporarily strong) so you can effectively clear the way. Also as a general thing, as you're early game, none of these choices you make about placements are lasting, long term

Yes-ish. Amiibo cards invites a villager to stay at your campsite. They’ll visit and ask for a crafted item from you. You make it, give it to them. On the third visit (separate days) that you do this, they’ll ask to move in. So the best way to do this is scan, gift, new day, scan, gift, new day, PLACE PLOT, scan, gift, invite

hi guys, i’m currently trying to travel to someone’s island but i keep getting the error code 2618-0513 and it says unable to connect to the other console(s). my internet is working fine on all my other devices, my NAT type is B so i know my wifi is compatible for travelling to different islands (i was also able to travel yesterday), i’ve restarted my switch & my game, and tried using my phone hotspot wifi instead of my regular wifi but nothings working to fix it and it’s for anyone’s islands, not just specific ones. 🥲 does anyone have a fix for this or know what’s up? i’m unable to restart my wifi router because i’m in university student accommodation so that can’t be done so is it just a waiting game till it likes me again hahaha 😭

If you’ve ever visited another players island before the villagers they void can possibly end up in your move-in queue, which is where autofill villagers come in. If you don’t fill an empty plot the day it’s empty it’ll autofill with one of the villagers in your MIQ, which is probably what happened with Nan moving in

Disclaimer: I haven't tried this with switch 1/switch 2, but I have successfully played on two islands at once on two separate switches. The catch is that you have to use two different accounts, and each one needs to have NSO - local communication will not work. So you would have to create a second resident on one of your islands (linked to a different Nintendo acct than your main), and that resident would be your mule to move items between your islands.

I just bought turnips from Daisy Mae and I'm trying to cook/craft recipes using turnips, but even with them in my inventory it says I have none and that I'm missing ingredients.

You probably have stacks in your inventory. Select one turnip stack and you should get the option to "grab one" turnip. Do that and that's what you'll use for Daisy Mae's recipes. It's confusing because "one" turnip is actually 10 and a stack of 10 is really 100....

on mystery island it's the same season, so if tuna is in season on your island you can catch it on mystery islands. bear in mind, mystery island spawns are stock to the hour you first come in.

as for the rain, it's predictable but also random. your island has a weather seed in which certain days it'll rain at certain times (or not at all). if you wanna take the time to find your seed I suggest checking out Meteonook !

Depends on the size and theme of the furniture. Outdoor and large furniture give extra points. I wouldn't worry about flowers though, as long as you have say like 20-30, and put down as much fences and furniture as possible (spread out though cuz crowding can give you -points) it shouldn't take too long. Having a variety of crops and trees can also help

Not really, but tonight I can pull out my mini guide i wrote, and see if I can make it an official little guide for everyone here. 3 stars is pretty easy to get, just as much furniture as you have, and a bunch of fences should get you there. If you have NSO you could trade for pieces I always use to get to 3 stars easily- the gazebos, lighthouses, and windmills. A pocket full of those scattered over my island, and whatever misc stuff I collected by that point tends to be enough to get me to 3 stars. I also usually put down 150-200 fences
