it's ok to stop if you are not enjoying the game anymore, if you want to play, lots of people regularly change villagers and theme and decorate their whole island again, some even reset their game and start over

Question if I buy turnips on Sunday and time travel to a day that they are selling for a good price. Can I travel back to Sunday and buy more and sell for them on that day again or will the turnips go bad?

I'm pretty sure once you time travel away from a good price, that price won't appear again even if you time travel to the exact day but im not 100% sure about going bad.

nope! the pattern will change and you wont get the same price
and they wont go bad unless you tt back with them, or aftee the next sunday

plus if you get a decreasing pattern you have a high chance of getting a large spike (big monies) the next week

If you tt to the sunday to get turnips and you tt back to Monday, the price will be different.

Hey, just had a question regarding time travel. I'm on a fresher island, and am currently on the part where the 3 new villagers have to move into their new houses. I'd like to time travel ahead to the date which they'd all be fully moved in by (which should be Dec. 4th). However, my birthday is on Dec. 2nd. Is there a way to skip ahead to when the villagers all move in, then go back in time to present day (Nov. 30th) while still being able to celebrate on the 2nd when it actually is the 2nd?

yeah you can time travel as you like, if you go fowards and everyone is moved in, if you go back you will not lose the progress

• Insufficient Space: A sapling needs a clear 3x3 space around it to grow.

• Overcrowding: They can't grow if there are more than 12 or so in a 9x9 area.

• Invalid Tiles: They will not grow right next to cliffs, water, beaches, bridges, inclines, or buildings.

The Solution: Move some trees to a less crowded area to fully grow, then move them back to wherever you want.

You need to invite them twice before you sell the plot--they won't move in until the third time you've crafted their item. The good news is that if you have 10 villagers you can pick which villager the Amiibo camper will replace!

Can i place pathings down, then swap to my other residents and download the codes i used for the pathing, saving the patterns used.

That way, my main player can get and use more pathings and displays instead of it swapping what i placed down?

best way to maximize scorpion spawns is to flatten everything but you should probably go to a nook mile island for that cuz flattening your island isnt a great idea

• sell sea creatures once you buy the wetsuit! while the ones you get early on arent worth big money theyre a pretty good eay of getting money
• turnips!! stalk market can be confusing but its so worth it
• sell nonnative fruit, produce, stuff like that
• if you have nintendo switch online you can go to other peoples islands and trade for stuff to sell, or sell stuff there (your native fruit sells for non-native prices on other peoples islands, iirc)

sadly if you have not closed the game before finishing the dialogue, the choice is closed. he will only choose Tangy has his replacement. if you want the campers to choose someone else you need to not finish the conversation, close the game and start over the recruitement process for natural campers

Yes, but you are kind of wasting one red rose that can't breed. It'll work but once the yellow has locked to breed, the other red one doesn't serve any purpose (it's the same as just having one red and one yellow).

I don't know how this could have happened, other than accidentally cataloging them; the only way an item could get added to your catalogue would be from having them in your inventory at some point...
For the backyard lawn, it makes no difference, its DIY will still have the same chance to randomly appear
For the backyard wall, it might make it harder for you to find it: when Saharah randomly visits, if you redeem a wallpaper or flooring using her Saharah tickets, she normally gives you something you haven't catalogued yet. She might still sell it at random though, either when she visits or at Harvey's Island

If you have bought or are planning to buy the Happy Home Designer DLC, it adds an option for Isabelle to reset their house interior (since after a certain point in the DLC's story you unlock the option to modify your villagers' houses).
Other than that, not really; you would need for that villager to leave your island, then come back.

sadly no, even with best case scenario, you would still be missing 2 kind of fruits on your island without NSO or someone trading locally. you get coconuts, your native fruit, sister fruit (10% chance on mystery islands, and from your villagers) and mom can send a fruit .

it's once on a mail, not long after you start playing. it can be any fruit but coconuts and your native, if you are unlucky it's the same as your sister fruit

they should not display fossils, one easily farmable way is wrapped fruits and veggies wrap 2 foreign fruits or 3 veggies / coconuts for a non sotred gift with a chance of photo when you are close enough to the villager.
Not all gifts are considered "gifted", only stuff they were or display like clothes, accessories, furniture, critters

I’ve got an island on my Nintendo account on my switch, and have added my sisters Nintendo account so that she is able to play too. When opening the game on the same device, it allows her to start a new island at the getaway package part. If we were to have saved this on her account, would it erase my island? I was under the impression that only one island could be created per device, so I was surprised to see this come up. I wouldn’t like to erase my island, but would love for my sister to play using her own account. Any advice?

You should have an empty plot that has no villager living in it. Villagers will not show up on mystery islands if you don’t have an empty plot ready for them to move into. You buy an empty plot from Tom Nook if you have less than 10 villagers, otherwise you will have kicked out another villager to get an empty plot.

Those should auto fill as soon as you put them down then, but just those first three. If you want a specific villager / have some choice in it, you’ll wanna use the NMT to search before you place them down.

You need to furnish the plots in order for them to move to your island. Once you invite those villagers you will then get resident services and then shortly after you will have to build your campsite. You’ll have to move in whatever the campsite villager is, it will be a smug villager. After that you’re free to buy the remaining three plots and hunt for villagers from mystery islands and you can also adopt villagers from other players at this point

how do I get new villagers now that I have ten? I’ve had maybe one campsite visitor but didn’t like them. I did research but everything I find does time travel and I don’t want to do that. sources say they’ll have a thought bubble and to talk to them, but on the rare occasion I see this it’s just someone giving or selling me an item. I have like six villagers I don’t like, I just wanted to fill up my town forever ago. I’ve resorted to beating my least favorite ones with nets, and yet they still seem to adore me. help.

like it's random, they can ask to move, as long as they are not the lastest or it's during events / close to their birthday etc

you just need to check them when it's appropriate hours, it's still a ran,dom event

they can ask after 15 days after the lastest moved in

if you answer no to a villager asking you get a 5 days cooldown

I think this is the correct section. I recently got a Switch 2 and transferred my island using the island transfer tool. While playing the game I went to chop down a tree to collect wood, the game did not drop any wood. I tried this with multiple trees. Am I doing something wrong?

You'll need to watch its movements! Approach it slowly with your net ready (holding "A") while their legs are lowered. Pause when they raise their legs. Once you're within distance, let go of "A" and you should catch them!

You might need better design/designer pro to get certain designs. It's redeemable with nook miles

The error code 2618-0513 indicates that your network is not optimal for peer-to-peer connections, which can be due to your ISP, internet connection speeds, or your network's NAT type.
Since you and your friend can visit other islands like treasure islands without issues, the problem is likely specific to direct peer-to-peer connections between your two consoles.

One common cause is that your ISP uses Carrier-Grade NAT (CG-NAT), which prevents direct connections between devices. This is particularly common with mobile ISPs like T-Mobile, which lack dedicated IPv4 addresses for inbound communications, making peer-to-peer gaming difficult.
Even though your internet may be stable for browsing and streaming, CG-NAT blocks the direct connection required for visiting islands in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

I believe the chance of the one you want 2 match is random, but in #villager-trade you could ask someone if they have the villager you need. Or try NMTs if you can.

if you have 6 villagers already, and buy land, yes, but be aware you are limited in the amount of adopts per day (even when adopting from people) and the plot can and likely will autofill the day after they are placed

So I have had this game for six days so I know I have a lot ahead of me.

This is my thought process as a rough draft of sorts. Food spots, a giant outdoor concert venue (the grey area) and a windy, woodsy, cabin and lake stuff. The bottom is a flower garden to show of rarest flowers and a farm for ingredients for the restaurants. The yellow tent is for a kind of campfire spot. There will be a "walking trail" from my house to the shops and main area.

Is this even feasible? I obviously don't have enough experience at this game to know what I am missing. I have googled how to reach 5-stars and I know map doesn't have enough fruit trees and flowers

the edges circled in red need to be pushed back a block (or two) in order to make space for the layer(s) below
the points circled in blue cant be made with terraforming for whatever reason so theyll need to be edited
other then that it looks fine?

Its supposed to be beach front at the lake. These are not exact measurements so a lot of the blue you circled is for sure not make or break.

Good to know about the area in red that could impact some things so I will for sure watch out for that.

My inspo is Hochatown/Broken Bow Oklahoma. There is just a highway with shops and food, then back roads to cabins and nature stuff

I don’t know if anyone has asked this before, but whenever I try to (online) go to another person’s island, or have another person come to mine, it displays an error, and says that one or more consoles refused to connect. It does this with every island I try. Is there a way to fix this? What causes it? Other games work just fine when I play online, only animal crossing refuses to let me connect. I’ve updated the game, I’ve done everything i could think of. Does anyone have any advice?

so ive been time travelling to get rid of a villager from my island. i have 6 that i would be happy to let go. i time skipped 2 months to be safe and ive been checking for bubbles outside at around 12pm and then saving and quitting and advancing 1 day everytime. ive done this about 30+ times now and havent seen a SINGLE thought bubble on ANYONE. does anyone know what could be wrong or do i just have insanely bad luck. its been legit like 2-3 hours of skipping 😭

I've heard that if you don't see a bubble at 12/1pm, it's also worth checking 7pm same day. Could be that the villagers that have the bubble aren't outside or are shopping or something when you're trying. Sounds like you've been really unlucky so far :(

I'm trying to get the Goliath beetle, it's currently 5:36pm in July, I'm on a mystery island with no rivers or cliffs, I've stripped it of everything (no trees, picked flowers, only rocks left bc I had no fruit) and I have the 4 palm trees, no coconuts on them. I'm getting legit every other beetle that can spawn (I've gotten a horned atlas, cyclo stag, blue weevil, and even a walking stick) and yet absolutely no goliaths. Is there something wrong with it or is it just that rare?
