The seller gave me an email account and the password to be put into a profile on my switch where i can then download it from that profile. Ok, well that's definitely not recommended, for this very reason, the mail address isn't yours and you have 0 control over it.

You need to buy the game again that's a certainty. Once you bought it, you might be able to get your island back but I am not sure. Once you created the profile with the game bought on it, erase the original profile. Either the game let's you "adopt" the original player with the island intact since it's the same console. Either you indeed lost the data because the game doesn't let you do that and you no longer have the island representative player

The seller allowed you to download the game using that account, and your console was registered as that account's primary console, meaning all other accounts can also use it
Now that person have probably revoked that primary status remotely (Nintendo allows to do that once per year) so that's why the other accounts on the console no longer have access
But if that account used to download the game had no resident registered on the island, you should be able to pick up the save where you left once you buy the game again with another profile

you're unloucky, you could try saying no to her and jumping further ahead, you'll be sure she cannot ask, and as long as marshall isn't the newest villager in your town and you have talked to him, he can move out

Hello yall, Got a Q. My sister has an island on her switch that she is moving to another switch. She was playing on the new one and made progress, but ultimately decised that starting from the beginning was not the cup of tea. We started the transfer progress, and did the transfer. We boot up the old switch and it starts from the beginning. When we start up the game on the new switch it says "Currently, there is existing resident data for CHulara on this system that is not linked to any user account" we click next, "Would you like to play using existing resident data and link your user account with it? or would you prefer to create a new resident." then the options are "Existing data." or "Start fresh"

What is the correct option to chose if I want to keep my sisters data from the orignal switch and NOT the new switch we just transfered to

I think you get one mandatory visitor to your campsite that you have to accept otherwise they don't leave the campsite. If you want to get guaranteed campers that you like, you'll have to buy their amiibo cards etc that you can scan using your Switch's NFC scanner.

Yes, the default points they give is one, and they get no sell price bonus except for the colorful light stick which sells for 400 bells and therefore gets one extra point - all others sell for 200 or less. And gift wrapping always adds one bonus point (see the charts in the images for reference, if interested) 🙂 So two points, except for the colorful light stick, which gives three

Thankfully they tend to move out on their own pretty frequently, so the game is pretty generous. You can also use Nook Mile tickets to visit islands where you'll run into villagers. It's random though, but you might have some good luck.

So if you’re interested in adopting a villager from someone else you need an empty plot first before anything else, otherwise the villager will never ask to come to your island. When you have an empty plot and find someone that has a villager in boxes that you want, you just conduct a trade offer with them. Once you two come to an agreement, they should send you the dodo code for their island and you can talk to the villager you want from there. Just be sure to follow any rules that person may have to avoid any issues with them. Once you talk to the villager and they agree to move to your island, you are free to leave (best to leave via airport) and you will see that empty plot will now say sold. If you’re the person trading a villager you will follow the same steps, but you will be the one opening your island, etc. Hope that helps clear things up!

You should be able to dig up bamboo shoots with a shovel and plant them on your island! Chopping them with an axe just gets you materials for crafting

No, that won't work, unfortunately. What you could do is bring some fruit next time, eat it, then use the energy to dig up the bamboo plants like you would other trees!

There’s no wrong way to do it since it’s a natural game mechanic, but it’s completely RNG based so that means it can take anywhere from a few irl minutes to several irl hours. It doesn’t matter what your console is set on, you can pick at the beginning of the game which hemisphere you’re in, it doesn’t sync to what your console is set to. You can be living in N.A. and have your island be in the Southern Hemisphere. There’s no way to check in-game unless you go by the weather, which it sounds like it’s in the Southern since it’s currently winter in that hemisphere

Oh no, you just have until 5:00 am the next day to fill an empty plot. You can time travel to give yourself more time if it’s getting late, you need to hop off, etc since the plot will fill up once you load in the game past 5:00 am. Just make sure to not go past 5:00 am time traveling backwards or it will also autofill then ^^

Generally, treasure islands are safe if you don't pick up anything that couldn't be obtained normally. They can have normally unobtainable items, some of which have a chance of breaking your game, due to them most often being hacked and the items have been spawned in with hacks/mods. Make sure to not pick up anything that you wouldn't be able to pick up when visiting a regular island, such as construction kits, lost items, or items with a Japanese name (if your game is not in Japanese). If you do, it might e.g. brick a slot from your inventory, since the game doesn't know how to handle such item.
And on your concern - it cannot also ofc ever be fully predicted what some theoretical hacks could do to your game, so a modified island technically is always a some level of risk. Nintendo also does not enforce hacked treasure islands or in-game items that are paid for with real money in any way. Do with that information what you will

You cannot put anything in cabinets; when put inside your house specifically, such furniture allows you to dress up your character using the clothes that are already present in your house storage, when placed outside they have no use.
If you mean the 2 "Storage shed" items specifically, they allow you to access that same house storage remotely, but it's unlocked fairly late in the game

No, you can only get the base colors red, white (orange for windflowers), and yellow from Leif and Nook’s Cranny

You can breed the other varieties instead of trading, but it takes more time

Hello! I ahve a question about weeds... I know that when you meet the limit of 150 weeds no more will grow. I also read that any that you plant additionally will not grow and stay small. But if I want some to stay small and others to get fully grown - how do I do that?

I thought I could place the number I want fully grown and then the rest scattered on the beaches and they would stay small.

you cannot have the weeds you wanted to stay small because everytime they got watered by rain or you they will be fully grown. unless you monitor them and you keep picking up the grown ones and planting new one to have them small again which is a lot of work imo. i just let my weeds be. i planted some on the beach and they all stayed small because I have the max weeds planted already

You MUST have an unsold, empty plot available to invite a villager from another player's island, or to find villagers on mystery islands (and you can only invite one villager from a mystery island per day). A villager in boxes, or a house with the "I moved out" sign is NOT an empty plot.

For the 3 villagers after your first 2, you can find them with or without the plots (It's part of the game progression). The 6th villager comes from the campsite. Afterwards you will find villagers on NMT islands if you have a free plot, which is the regular way

Whenever you'd like; I don't think there are really reasons to postpone it from when you unlock access to it! It can only be useful and if you don't want to finish its story too quickly you can do it at a slower pace 🙂 I for example paid a lot of attention to all projects and spent an hour or two on each and it lasted for a long time until I finished the story. And even after the storyline and introduction of new mechanics is finished there is still a lot to be done if you want to. And unlocking some of the features from the DLC could be a big help when it comes to building your main island

They’re random, but they tend to follow trends that have patterns to them. So check them every day, and if they start to drop or if they keep rising by Friday, then go ahead and cash them out.

And yes any amount of backwards time travel completely re-randomises your turnip price patterns, so it will make all of your tracking until that point useless

You unlock terraforming once you hit 3 star rating and have KK visit your island, so you’re almost there! If you built the campsite then you should’ve gotten the news from Tom Nook that you need to invite more villagers and decorate your island for KK’s arrival ^^

How to get villager, when someone is moving out?

Some fish and bugs require you to have caught a certain number of fish/bugs in total until they can spawn in the first place, though the highest is like 100, so not that many. And when trying to find a specific one, catching others can help because it frees up space for new spawns 🙂

You should have 150 weeds somewhere (75 with beautiful island ordinance active) to stop brand new weed spawns from happening to prevent weeds from occupying the spots you want the rocks to spawn at (when the day changes, weeds are spawned before rocks). In general, to get the rocks where you want them at, you have to occupy literally every other valid spawn space! You can do that with weeds too if you want to. Then you have to cover essentially all empty tiles with weeds, as weeds only block the tile they are on (as do custom designs on the ground). Furniture on the other hand also blocks the surrounding 8 tiles, which is why a lot of people like using mannequins from the custom design app (choose to display a design as a mannequin). When using them, the cleanup is also easy; you just have to edit the design you used and they all disappear but feel free to use whatever you find the most convenient

It can be yes, as you have to place way fewer items when you are using mannequins instead of weeds. The one downside is that you have to think a bit of where to place them. (2 tiles between each mannequin bith horzontally and vertically). But you also get an infinite number of mannequins for free!
