You would just have to delete that island/save file and then when you start a new game file just use a different profile

To add on Pax's messages, I believe nowadays you have to have logged into ACNH on at least three days of a month to unlock that month's icon selection, but then you can access a monthly selection of icons that you can purchase with platinum points 🙂 the monthly selection includes a few special NPCs, all villagers whose birthday is that month, and some seasonal borders and backgrounds

The game is a life sim! There is a storyline that involves various tasks about renovating and constructing the island, and after that, the main idea of the game is to create a personalised island and home, hang out with the villagers living on your island and potentially also play online with others! There aren't too many online features, but visiting other people's islands, hanging out and trading gives already a lot! There is also a paid DLC that involves creating vacation homes for villagers, including both interior and exterior design with little limitations.
The game runs in real time, so expect slow and chill gameplay as many things progress with real days, but if that is not your thing, you can always manipulate the system clock to speed up time in-game. Whatever you prefer! Both real time play and so-called time travel are popular options among the playerbase, it's just about which playstyle you prefer

.t amiibo // Hopefully this helps! Basically, just invite the amiibo villager three different days and craft whatever item they want for each day. On the third day after you craft their item they’ll then ask to move in and will let you choose which villager you want to kick!

How to get 3 stars
• Make sure you have at least 8 villagers. Max is 10 villagers. More villagers more points
• Put out lots of different furniture.
• Put out a lot of flowers. Put out way more than you think you need.
• Try to build the shops (upgraded nook’s gives extra points) bridges and inclines where you can, it'll help a lot with development points.
•** LISTEN TO ISABELLE! **If she talks about development or scenery, you need more development points (furniture, diy items, infrastructure, etc.) If she talks about the island's natural environment, you need more nature points (flowers, trees, shrubs, etc.). If she mentions clutter, you have to pick up all the dropped items on the ground.

A rock was accidentally smashed in a rock garden, and we're having trouble getting it back. A weed keeps spawning there, and according to the data mined info, weed spawns occur before rock spawns. Is it just a case of rolling rng enough times to get the rock back there, or do i need to manipulate the conditions better?

You should make sure you have 150 weeds planted somewhere on your island (75 with beautiful island ordinance active). This prevents completely new weeds from spawning ^^

If i do keep rolling for just the one space without maxing out weeds, do we know if i will ever get the rock or the weeds win out every time?

In reference to the bottom right box, if I'm understanding correctly, you should be able to free up one or two spaces depending on the number of weeds you have, and then it would be up to chance whether the rock spawns in the right spot, or the weed(s)? ^^

Nothing has changed when it comes to move-out mechanics; unfortunately it's just really luck based. The mechanic was not designed with people manually evicting villagers in mind. This below is essentially the best method you can use, but in the end it's just up to luck; the method isn't doing any tricks to the game, it just speeds up the normal process by eliminating cooldowns and removing wait times via time travel, and that's really all you can do to make it easier, unfortunately

No, the only requirement is having 6 villagers on the island, and the chance goes up a little the more villagers you have, and you have the maximum

You need to reach a 3 star island rating ^^ not having reached it could actually affect the bubble chances a tiny bit, because villagers' interactions about Project K sometimes override bubbles, but it makes only a small difference as they do not have those interactions that often

If you just want to unlock terraforming and then design your island, you can just plant a bunch of flowers and throw around any random furniture you have until you reach the rating, and clean up after.

The game essentially only bases the rating on quantity, alongside a couple other small rules

With a couple exceptions; your most recent villager will never ask to move out until a newer one moves in, and if you have not talked to a villager literally once since they moved in, they cannot ask either. It depends on whether or not if you’ve ever visited another player before. If you have then yes the plot will autofill next day at 5:00 am, but if you never have then it’s only a 20% chance iirc of it autofilling, so it won’t be immediate. You don’t have to have an open plot for campsite villagers if you have 10 villagers since they can replace one of your villagers, but if you have less than 10 then yes you would need an empty plot. You need an empty plot for mystery island villagers in order for them to show up on islands, otherwise they won’t if there’s no empty plot no matter how many tickets you use

Many people find it easier to just focus on the sound, instead of the visual cues, I'd suggest trying that if you have not already ^^ the sounds of a nib and a bite are a lot more distinct than the animations, making it perhaps easier to react. Hope you can catch them!

You have to wait 15 days (since a new neighbor moved in) and once the time is over some neighbor will get a bubble as if he is thinking (that means he wants to leave).
If the bubble is on a neighbor that you don't want to leave then WITHOUT SAVING exit the game and re-enter and the bubble will be on another neighbor.

And keep in mind that if you don't find anyone with the bubble then it means that whoever has the bubble is at home.

I think I found a way to mess with the game.

I’ve been trying to find a way to force something into inventory while full.

Every method involving nooks seems to fail because you can’t sell partial stacks. You sell one item, and if the bells overflow, the bag of excess takes its place.

I think I found a method.

Fill my inventory and have close to 99,000 bells. Do the fishing tournament. Sell fish from the cooler so I have over 99,000 bells. With my wallet and inventory full, any ideas on what would happen?

You could also use amiibo, which lets you select a villager to kick out and replace, or wait until the campsite spawns someone you want and keep soft resetting to make them choose the villager you want to kick

There is less room for critters to spawn, so there can be less of them taking up space. And it's easier to scan a small area like that for potential spawns compared to a full size player island. But the base odds are the same except for some special islands like big fish island 1 & 2, which only spawn big fish, or fins island, which only spawns fish with a fin (both of these are dodo) 🙂

Hi, I've been creating designs for my island on a web app. When I upload them and scan the QR code, I can download them to my switch, but I cannot modify them or publish them. The problem is I can't create them on the switch because of the restriction in colour palettes. Is there a way to create my designs on the laptop and then upload them to the switch in a way that I can publish them/modify them, or is there a way to change the colour palette restrictions when creating designs on the switch ?

That's how it is. Starter villagers get a default house. The only way to get their original house is to use the DLC to reset their house through Isabelle, or having them move out and move in again

there are a lot of perks to the dlc. you can decorate houses and yards for other villagers that aren't on your island with items that you have not obtained in your regular island. you can get poki which exchanges for bells (only 15k poki to bells per day) you can buy souvenir chocolates that if you give to a villager on your island you can invite them to hhp and design them a house. you can redesign the interior and exterior of a villager's house on your island for 9000 bells (i think) and the next day you get 1000 miles in the mail from it. you can get special items and furniture such as pillars, counters, and even walls. overall it's very fun and honestly it is very worth the price
i forgot to mention that if you talk to a villager on hhp who you decorated a house for they might give you their wallpaper or flooring

The area beyond the bridge is quite small and full of cliffs, which doesn't let me work with much. I'm thinking about removing the cliffs and decorating, then adding man-made cliffs if needed. Just to be a tiny bit more specific; dirt, dark dirt, and sand paths from the island designer app will still spawn fossils on them. But any other path, no

Those are already a lot ^^ make sure to also check Nook Shopping Daily and Seasonal selections, you can also pop balloons in hopes of new furniture, and make sure to also check your beaches for DIY recipe bottles (also DLC island). You can also learn DIYs from villagers crafting; someone should be crafting at almost all times during the awake hours of the villagers, and three villagers total will craft every day (one at a time).
Trading is a really huge way to get specific furniture you want! If you have the online subscription, I'd heavily recommend checking out our trading channels such as #furniture-trade and #diy-trade 🙂 this way you have to rely less on RNG!
And all the main seasonal events also have quite big furniture sets, so it can be worth playing through them to get all the rewards if you like the furniture 😄

None that I have found so far.

Although something I JUST discovered is that if you do this accidentally as a one-off, and aren't planning on repaving an entire area, you don't have to launch Island Designer.

You can repair a single tile by going to Custom Designs and selecting "Display on Ground"

This has saved me tonnes of headaches now since I don't have to start and then stop the whole "getting permission for construction..." thing.

If you don't know how it works, each villager has a set selection of items related to their vacation home theme, and when you make their home you unlock the set of items in Wardell's catalogue (and in your design catalogue which you use when making vacation homes). If you are looking for a specific item, you can use this site https://catalogue.ac/?s= to find which villagers unlock that item, if any 😄

Well, the DIY app in your NookPhone keeps track of all your DIYs, but you cannot see the missing ones. Critterpedia has a little owl icon next to the critter's name if you have donated it, and the best way to track fossils and art is your Nook Shopping catalogue; if you've donated all new art pieces and fossils you have obtained, the ones you have catalogued should accurately represent what is in your museum (with art, make sure to check if the one you have catalogued is fake or no). If you told her today, she'll be in boxes tomorrow, which is when you can trade her to another player (but only one player can take her!) The day after that you'll have a completely empty plot to invite either a villager from a Nook Miles Ticket island or another player's island. How to get 3 stars
• Make sure you have at least 8 villagers. Max is 10 villagers. More villagers more points
• Put out lots of different furniture.
• Put out a lot of flowers. Put out way more than you think you need.
• Try to build the shops (upgraded nook’s gives extra points) bridges and inclines where you can, it'll help a lot with development points.
•** LISTEN TO ISABELLE! **If she talks about development or scenery, you need more development points (furniture, diy items, infrastructure, etc.) If she talks about the island's natural environment, you need more nature points (flowers, trees, shrubs, etc.). If she mentions clutter, you have to pick up all the dropped items on the ground.

bear in mind only the first player (player that named the island) can advance the story and unlock these stores
For nook's cranny you need to do as Tom Nook says, you'll eventually have to give wood and iron to Tommy/Timmy to build the shops.
For the Able sister, once you unlocked Nook's cranny, you will get Visits from Mable, if you buy something each time you see her you'll get the shop after 3 visits

You could get a used switch off of eBay, GameStop, Target, etc ! I believe you'd have to get a second Nintendo account? I'm not too sure on that though! Since it's one island per switch, theoretically you could have two islands under the same Nintendo account ^

You would have to start all over, if you were to get a second switch -- only because it's one island per console. It won't be attached to your current island, iirc ^^

I’m relatively new to the game but doing research and getting started I thought it would be nice to have a main island I can always go to or drop things off before island resets, or a place to farm and have more recourses and then on my main switch would be the island I would design then reset and redesign over and over. I just think it’s nuts Nintendo linked 1 island to a switch instead of account

You can have multiple islands under the same Nintendo Account, but if you want to be able to directly visit your other island I believe you'd need to use a new account on one of them ^^

basically if you do it with mystery islands it prioritizes species, so for species with lots of villagers like cats or squirels it's harder to fin a specific one., with the campiste it prioritze personalities you don't have yet, so going hunting when you have a plot open would be easier foe sherb for example, or Mott for cats, either stacks on many tickets or trade if you can

The only "daily" aspect that I know of off-hand is in resident services - the little ATM looking thing! You can interact with that daily and get additional nook miles if you hold a streak :)

I forget about it very often,, but it's not really a necessity to gameplay! Just a fun lil thing you can do

Unfortunately it's just luck after that. The game mechanic was not designed with players manually moving villagers out in mind; it's very RNG based, and there isn't really anything you can do to help it, other than use time travel to speed up the process significantly 🤷‍♀️ it can take many hours sometimes, if you get unlucky. Hope you get a moveout bubble soon though 🤞 🍀

Hi, I’m new to ACNH. I just visited my first mystery island and came back with some new fruit, fish, bugs and flowers. Any advice on what to do with everything? Is it best to just sell the fish and bugs for bells? Should I plant the fruit or sell? Thanks!

I'd say that you should donate any new bugs/fish to the museum and sell the ones you've already donated. Flowers are good to keep handy for breeding later on if that's something you wanna do, and if the fruit is non-native to your island it'll be worthwhile to plant them now. Non-native fruits work well for selling, giving to villagers as gifts, or cooking.

I would try speaking with Wardell, Niko, and Lottie to make sure you haven’t missed some sort of trigger. If that doesn’t do it, it’s likely just because certain things will only unlock 1 event per day. If you went through the DLC quickly or if you did any time traveling, you might just need to wait it out until you unlock all previous quests.
