Not necessarily. Some people just enjoy giving things away for free

Generally, treasure islands are safe if you don't pick up anything that couldn't be obtained normally. They can have normally unobtainable items, some of which have a chance of breaking your game, due to them most often being hacked and the items have been spawned in with hacks/mods. Make sure to not pick up anything that you wouldn't be able to pick up when visiting a regular island, such as construction kits, lost items, or items with a Japanese name (if your game is not in Japanese). If you do, it might e.g. brick a slot from your inventory, since the game doesn't know how to handle such item.
And on your concern - it cannot also ofc ever be fully predicted what some theoretical hacks could do to your game, so a modified island technically is always a some level of risk. Nintendo also does not enforce hacked treasure islands or in-game items that are paid for with real money in any way. Do with that information what you will

Does anyone know the wasp and furniture in tree spawn mechanics that well? I kept all my fruit trees, but deforested my island of all hardwood and all but 8 pine trees, but those 8 pine trees didn’t give me any drops this morning—no wasps, bells, or furniture (only the occasional stick). I planted fruit trees in the holes of all the pine and hardwood trees I chopped down.

I’ve done it before on a different island and it worked on that other island, but it doesn’t on this one. The base of my trees are all cleared from flowers and items.

basically, the villager is moving out, and if no one takes them on, they will be sent to the void, where they may end up filling a plot on an island of someone who has visited them before

u could also kick him out using amiibo if u got any, or u could wait for a villager to appear on ur campsite and see if they ask him to move out. if a campsite villager wants to ask a different villager to move out, u can always just close the game before it autosaves and try again until they ask kabuki

You can tt back up to 5:01 am of the same day and your plot will remain empty. The only thing that happens when you tt back a few hours or even by a min is if you have turnips. They will rot instantly. Other than that not much change

Only with online play. So you need a nintendo online sub. For fly, put a lot of trash items like cans or tires outside a building and then go in and out of that building to reset bug spawns. Eventually you’ll see one flying on top of the trash

Each island has its own default variants for items sold at Nook's Cranny! And Nook's will always sell that default variant of items. I cannot exactly recall how it's determined or if it's just plain random for every individual item, but it seems like your Nook's Cranny has a lot of pink variants as the default one ^^

Early Bird/Night Owl can be imitated by changing your console time an hour forward/backward and Beautiful Island is arguably a curse if you time travel often as it creates "flower hell" when they spread worse than weeds, so most people use Bell Boom if any ordinances at all. If you tend to do a lot more selling than buying, so the 20% higher sell price more than offsets the 20% higher buy price - though Turnips and CJ/Flick prices are unaffected.

You need pay of the first debt to tom nook. Then the next day Timmy will ask you to to collect 30 soft wood, 30 wood, 30 hardwood and 30 iron nuggets. When you have 30 of each, give them to Timmy and the store will be built the next day after placing down the plot for it.

in addition to what cookie mentioned above, you need to spend 200k bells in their shop after building it and have 30 days pass since the shack version of the shop is built (TTing forward 30 days and then back is enough for the latter requirement) before it will upgrade to the final convenience store upgrade

You have to keep them for a while. The jock’s special reaction which is the flourish can only be obtained if you are at max level friendship with them. The other one is just random you can get it quickly or not depends on your luck

It’s usually harder to join islands that are being hosted on streams that get busy. The stream is behind on the count if there’s a counter available (most streams do that), so if it says like 6/7 visitors then just assume that it’s full at that point since the stream is behind. It’s best to join when it’s at 3/7 or 4/7 before it gets too full. Hope that helps

But if you want to keep them ungifted, do two wrapped non-native fruit or any wrapped assessed fossil instead of the furniture)

Yes you can save the current state of your island as a dream. Any player who has the dream address (or looks it up by name, or gets it randomly if you enable that feature) can visit it at any point in time. And the dream won't change until you upload again, and what visitors do on the dream island won't affect your real island. It will be an independent copy of sorts

if the patterns are ones you've made yourself you can upload them to the online portal and then screenshot your creator ID so you can download them all again when you get Able's again. If they're ones other people have made you'll have to retrace your steps to get their creator ID themselves and then just keep track of those

So basically it works one of two ways. If you’re interested in adopting a villager from someone, you would have to have an empty plot and then find someone to trade with that has a villager in boxes that you want (you can find villagers in #villager-trade and #701251557458444395 ^^). Once you and the seller agree on payment, etc you then go to their island and go talk to the villager. They should move to your island the next day! The same goes vice versa if you’re the one who’s selling a villager, you can post them for trade in either one of the villager trading channels. I hope this helps

1.changing the ip address and the DNS (followed the instructions on their website)
2.including my switch in the DMZ and in port forwarding on my routers settings (i've made sure to identify the correct device)
3.turning off my router for 15m before turning it back on
and i still cant connect at all.

Most of them come from bunny day balloon gifts (the ones with the striped balloon), but Zipper also gives you a few: the bunny day arch DIY just for participating, as well as the last two things after you have made everything else ^^
There are also various egg outfits that you learn after collecting a certain amount of a certain kind of egg (but those aren't required to get Zipper's reward for making every DIY)

Idk how to use up all my clay; is there any hot item that's best for it? Currently my hot item is classic pitcher which iirc uses clay, and something else, but maybe there's better? Or should I maybe just find someone to sell my stacks of clay to?

When it comes to selling your clay as hot items, it doesn't actually matter which item it is. DIY items' sell price is always 2x the price of its materials themselves, and hot item bonus doubles that, making it 4x. Classic pitcher uses only clay (4 clay each), so it's a solid one to use to get rid of your clay since you won't lose any other materials you might possibly want to save. ^^
There are more efficient options, such as raccoon figurine which takes 6 clay to make, meaning it would take 1.5x less copies of the item (and therefore also crafting time) to get rid of your clay, but when it comes to bells, the result would be the same

Treasure islands are player-made, nearly always hacked islands, where there are lots of dropped items, and also sometimes villagers in boxes, all for you free to take. They are generally safe, but there are still some unpredictability and safety risks, as is their nature, being hacked content (click this message link for more info on that #game-help-questions❓ message )

Hacked treasure islands, or anything hacked in general is prohibited on this server though, but if someone would be hosting a legitimate treasure island, they'd advertise it in #mysterybags-and-yardsales , that tends to be a very rare occurance though due to how time consuming it is to set one up legitimately.

You generally need at least A or B to directly play with others, unfortunately. A lower NAT type is fine for stuff like downloading custom designs, but connecting to another console, in my experience, needs at least a B.

You've done the customization workshop? The DLC is installed properly? You can check the latter from the title screen. If the house next to the version number is only an outline there is no DLC installed

If you’re working on the customization workshop you should try to customize the items first and then bring them back to him ^^ he has a workbench to his left at the desk in Resident Services that you can use!

So when you go to any workbench and interact with it, you should see dialogue like below. Just select the second option and then you can customize those two items Tom Nook asked you to make. You need customization kits on hand (you can buy some from the cabinet in Nooks Cranny) to be able to customize those two items. If you don’t see that second option then you should restart your game like what Chloe said and try again. I hope this helps

Popular "safe" options are two wrapped non-native fruit, or any assessed fossil ^^ these won't be stored in the villager's inventory, keeping them ungifted

If you have a building, a "tall item" or a tree 4 or less tiles south of the rock spots, that is why.
Alternatively, if the spots are spawning weeds, make sure you have 150 weeds planted somewhere on your island (75 if beautiful island ordinance is active). That will prevent brand new weeds from spawning, which is processed before rock spawns when the day changes. Meaning they can take up the spots before rocks

His player character and house, which are separate from the Nintendo Account and Switch profile, can be transferred too, so he will keep his items etc. when he starts the new island (assuming he is a secondary player, and not the resident representative of the current island). The breeding mechanics are based on genes, a hidden stat that cannot be determined based on just how the flower looks. Genes determine colour, but genes cannot be determined from the colour. One other small question. If yellow + red mums make yellow hybrid, what if a yellow mum spawns next to the yellow parent? Can I be confident it is a hybrid, or should I wait for one that spawns next to the red parent?

Maybe that's a reason to block off tiles adjacent to the yellow parent?

What do you mean by that? If you mean how to make the ground underneath your flowers look like soil, for that you'd first need to unlock terraforming (if I remember correctly you need to get a 3 star rating on your island for that), get the dark dirt path and then you can plant flowers on that. If it's something else you mean then idk

Alright, got it. Those flowers are planted on the regular dirt path and dark dirt path, but the edges around the flower beds here are a custom design you'd have to download from the custom design portal. You can find that in the tailor shop, but you need switch online to use it. You should be able to get the designs by searching for the creator ID in the bottom left of the image you sent on the design portal, if you can access it. Once you got the custom designs you can place them using either the path tool you already used for the dirt/dark dirt path, or directly from the designs app, although that would be more work than just using the path tool

There are probably better methods, but I usually sneak up to them, stop whenever they notice me and go in attack position, then I wait until they're back to normal and keep sneaking towards them until I'm close enough to catch them. It's a slow process for sure, but it works for me
