They will only wear clothes if they are in the color/style they like. I think somewhere has guides on what villagers like what clothes. (I think Pinterest or the nookea app) but I’ve also had villagers wear clothes off the mannequin only in their house. I’ve also just complained to Isabelle about what that villager is wearing till they put on the specific outfit

Hi so I have some custom designs I found when the game came out, I really like their character designs is there any way to see the design ID/creator ID for the designs I do have? I’d like to get new designs of different villagers from them

Not directly; the only in-game ways are if you have favourited the creator you can look at your favourites list (I'd recommend favouriting everyone whose designs you use ^^ if you press the delete button on a design, it tells you who made it in the confirm message, and you can then cancel and search for that name from your favourites list.)
The other way would be searching by one of their designs names and seeing if you can find that same one in the search results, from which you can then access the profile

I'd recommend trying multiple of the designs in case some names have less results than others

If one has the bell boom ordinance, does that affect the villager gifting friendship? For example, without the ordinace, a thwomp sells for exactly 750. With the ordinance, it now sells for 900. Do I still need to gift the thwomp, or can I give something that’s still only 750?

the ordinance only affects shop selling prices, nothing else, so your thwomp (and other gifts) will still get the same reactions from your villagers as before

It is kinda hard to wrap it's head around it lol, if when you activate that ordinance, what changes is not the actual values of the items, but the price the shops are selling / buying them for... Since you'd no longer have an easy way to tell what the actual, uninflated value of the item is, unless you calculate it manually by reducing the price by 20%... I'll ask more knowledgeable people

Sources for DIY are thr bottles, as well as balloons and your villagers crafting (there is always someone crafting almost at all times) ^^
Also, the shop only gets a few DIY packs at the pretty beginning of the game, after that no more new DIYs will appear there except for for a limited time after one or two events

3. Grow stuff (fruits, flowers, pumpkins, etc) and sell to Nook's Cranny.
4. If you have NSO (Nintendo Switch Online), trade with other players by visiting the trade channels in this server and seeing where to sell your services or goods!

villagers will slowly add bells to it yes. and the fastest way to make bells is kinda subjective. make sure you chop wood, hit rocks & fish and catch bugs every day. but the stalk market is really good if you’re patient or have nso :)

Do you stop getting campsite visitors? Ever after my first visitor, I haven't gotten anyone else and when I've bought new plots random people move into them. Is it just random and I've happened to get unlucky? Same with the islands you visit with nook tickets, I haven't found villagers there ever again after inviting the first one I saw to my island. Is that intended?
How do I get 3 star rating? I'm stuck with Isabelle, she asks for more infrastructure so I built an incline, then she asked for more decoration- after getting it she asked for infrastructure again. Is 3-star that hard/expensive to get or am I doing something wrong?
I'm also curious about Harv's plaza, I already did the photoshoot and all that but never heard from him again (been 2 weeks)

I've been trying to get the achievement for getting 8 minerals from a rock, but it doesn't seem to be working. I've seen several guides that suggest digging two holes and positioning yourself between the holes and the rock. I've seen videos of this working, but when I do, I still only get 7. You should have the holes dug directly behind the rock and use a shovel to hit the rock. The axe takes too long to hit.

The art section is actually there by default now if you created your new island after the 2.0 update (November 2021 forwards) ^^ I don't think there should be anything blocking you from getting art already? Although I have not ever tried to buy from Redd before he visited my island. So take that with a little grain of salt! If you do try it, I'd appreciate an update so we know for sure in the future ^^

IIRC it happens when a villager tries to do that sort of interaction, but then when you talk to them, for various reasons, out tof the options they have there's nothing they are able to pick/do, e.g. you not having any items on you that they could offer to buy, resulting to them not doing any interaction and saying that dialogue instead. I can't remember the nitty gritty, it's a little complex but that's essentially it I believe ^^

Your shovel can still break regardless. The durability was at its end so it was just a coincidence.

This is what happened to you

when you whack a rock and it drops an item, your shovel/axe durability decreases, but if it reaches zero, it will not break immediately (whichs gives you a chance of finishing your streak)
but the durability will virtually be zero though, so the next time you use it on something other than a rock that can still drop things, it will break. And the good belongings fortune stops tools' durability from decreasing, it doesn't save them from destruction if they're at zero
The same mechanic applies to bug nets during a timed Bug-Off challenge, and to fishing rods during a timed Fishing Tourney challenge

You'd have to look for designs from New Leaf, not from New Horizons. New Horizons doesn't use QR codes, that feature in the app exists for transferring over designs made in New Leaf. Note that I believe the QR codes expire over time, so a lot of the ones you find online might not work anymore <- FALSE BELIEF

The price ranges from 10 bells a turnip to 660 bells a turnip, with the higher end prices being very very rare. 163 guarantees you a small profit, and depending on your pattern it might not go any higher, but the chance is there if it isn't saturday for you in-game. HHP catalog is different than in-game catalog. Each house you do has a specific pool of items based on the theme and that collection grows with the more houses you do. At some point tho you will get access to your in-game catalog (house 22 ish I think)
