They are sold in packs of a few cards, like maybe 5, and are divided into series 1-5, before buying check which series has the most villagers you like, or which has your favourites! There are lists of that online as well

You can't remove a home from anyone, but there's no limit to how many homes you can make, you can reuse the plots as many times as you'd like. It'll sorta create a new blank copy of the plot if you already have a home there

Do you mean ungifted & heavily gifted? Ungifted mean the villager wasn't given gifts they can display such as standing furniture & clothes. Lightly and heavily gifted is subjective, maybe 3-4 is lightly for me but it might be heavy for others. Gifted or not is personal preference tho.

That is a very common experience, you're most likely doing nothing wrong and just having bad luck, unfortunately there isn't really much you can do, it's a very luck based process and can sometimes take a good while

It's not just about mixing colours if that's what you're confused about, the colour you get when two flowers breed is based on a hidden gene statistic, which is quite a complicated subject haha
To make it simple, you should just follow the breeding chart to make the colours you want

If you are the only one watering your flowers, there's a 5% chance every night for a given pair to breed (same for all flowers). And then on top of that different colour options have different probabilities of being the result of the breeding, which varies a lot depending on the parent flowers

It’s not just the river mouths, it’s the entire river layout. You need to follow all the river lines and match them up. These two are similar, but they aren’t identical. The quickest difference to spot is in the vertical river on the right. (Your first image shows a fork in that part of the river, whereas the second image does not)

If the villager is currently wearing the clothes you don't like, you can go to Isabelle & tell them to change their clothes. This will take away the outfit from their Wardrobe. You can keep doing this until they wear their default clothing

No, the only time you can sell to them on other islands is during fish tourneys/bug-offs, but you can never commissiom models

They all have unlock requirements (Hammerhead has 20, others have 50 total catches) so if your island is new that might be it, but otherwise it's just luck, they are pretty rare fish and there's only four in the end

Yes, as long as you stay in the same day after 5am & the next day before 5am, you can delay them moving out. If you go past those times it'll count as a different day & they'll move out. When you get the amiibos tho, they won't move in right away, you need to craft something for them on 3 different days before they agree to move in, so the villager you want to stay in boxes won't be able to stay bc of the crafting you need to do for the amiibo.

You grow new bamboo trees by planting bamboo shoots, which can be found on certain mystery islands or be given to you by Daisy Mae after buying turnips!

They grow from bamboo shoots, which are found buried next to bamboo trees on Mystery Islands. Daisy Mae also gives you some shoots after you buy 100 turnips total on 3 separate days

If you plant a shoot that grows into a tree, it will spawn 1 shoot only once. If you need more shoots you can get around 4-6 shoots on bamboo Mystery Islands or trading with other folks

Unfortunately this is just the mechanics of the game and there’s no way to prevent it from happening. There are a couple of things that will retain their original design after removing/changing the slot, so I’d recommend those as some space-savers. These include designs for island flag, face paint, or phone case

Basically the contents are decided before the color of the balloon
The chance distribution is shown in the guide Nookbot sent. So if the game picks bells, the balloon is guaranteed to be yellow, and if it picks crafting materials the balloon is guaranteed to be blue. For the other colors it can be anything else (DIY, furniture, clothing)

If I customise a purchased item of furniture, is that customised variation available in Nook shopping for future purchase or do I need to purchase ALL variants (without customisation) to have them all available in the app?

You would have to purchase all variants. On purchasable items, most of the time customization with kits only changes some details and not the base material, which your catalog considers as a different variant.
Unless you use Cyrus, who can customize both the base material (allowing you to easily catalog purchasable variants) and the detailing.
For craftable items, you can change the base material with just kits and your catalogue will consider it another variant; you just can't purchase it there

So general rule would be, if I craft it, I can customise it...but if I buy it, I need to buy all the variants/use Cyrus?

There are a couple of exceptions I think, but the very large majority of items behave like this

hi so basically a few months ago, i restarted my island on my switch, and my friend had me added as a best friend on that island, now, i cant add her because it still shows shes friends with my old island? we wanna be able to send mail to each other and stuff in the best friend interactions but it wont let me add her

I can't get the friends app on my newer island. I have my new island and then a shared island, and I'm using the same NSO account for both. So far on my new island, I haven't gotten the best friends app despite being online several times and going to/hosting people on my island. Will it not do it because I'm using the same account for two islands?

No it should still work the same way. You have to open gates to friends to get the app

Hi there! A regular island is one that an island representative (the player who creates the island) can build up and turn into whatever they desire! You can only have one island per console though, just FYI. A NMT island is different—it’s a random island that can only be accessed with nook miles tickets in the airport! They will be different every time you use a NMT to visit one! Those islands you can get extra materials from, and villagers will appear there if you have an empty plot. I hope that helps

You get to make vacation homes for all 400+ villagers (and also the NPCs if you have their amiibos). There are also exclusive DIYs you can learn for your own house and once you finish the storyline you can customize your own villagers’ houses

No you’re good- we all start somewhere! But yeah. Without the DLC you’re stuck with whatever default interiors your villagers gave along with any gifts they may have placed.

You can’t place flooring outside. If you want to change stuff from the default grass you need paths. You can download custom paths to place with your phone rn or wait until you unlock terraforming to get the default paths

How to MAKE BELLS, the SIMPLE Way:

1. Play the stalk market: buy turnips at a low price and sell them high.
2. Dive and catch sea creatures to sell back to Nook's Cranny.
3. Grow stuff (fruits, flowers, pumpkins, etc) and sell to Nook's Cranny.
4. If you have NSO (Nintendo Switch Online), trade with other players by visiting the trade channels in this server and seeing where to sell your services or goods!

If a campsite villager agrees to live on your island, they choose a random villager to kick out, so if it's not Groucho, you can exit & close the game before finishing that conversation. They might choose a different villager next time they agree, but it's still random, especially if you want to keep the other 9/10 villagers. With an amiibo, you can choose who to move out but of course it costs real money
