1. Wanting to transfer to a new switch, and they have two options, to transfer the whole island, or a secondary resident. The latter of which will start a new island.
2. Keep progress on old switch, while at the same time, keeping their progress on this old switch to start a new island on this old switch. This is not possible.

How I understood it is that they have two Switches; old one, with an island that has more than one player, and a new one, that has no island.
The outcome they want is that the new switch has the old island, while old switch has a new island with one of the residents from the old island (if that wording makes sense). Like, maybe they previously shared an island with someone, got a new Switch and now want to separate

He'll be better by the next day. The medicine stuff is really just a good boost for friendship, and counts as an island helper task. Edit: maybe a couple days. I personally haven't had one remain sick longer than a day, but I like to be thorough and Google says it can take a couple of days. Rest assured, he'll get better eventually without ur intervention lol.

Okay, I think I found something. If you make a new profile and link them to that tent (however that works, haven't looked that deep yet) you can then just delete their residency via the minus button and then delete the profile from the switch. And that should get rid of the abandoned house.

2. If I want to restart the island Do I have to go to the settings page of the device or the menu page (-) before entering the game?
3. Before I restart the island I want to keep the dream, after restarting the island Can I go back and dream of my original island? Is my original dream code still alive? and my new dream update Is it still the same dream code?

4. If I restart the island Do I have to start playing the DLC from scratch?
5. The dlc I used to play, after restarting the island my original RA code will still be there? And can I still go back and visit?

You will have to restart the DLC as it will be like a new player has begun playing your island/is the island representative. I'm not sure about the RA code/visiting so someone else that's reset might have a better answer for that 🙂

hi everyone, I’m trying to do pier fishing to catch a tunafish, however I’m not having any luck. i’ve used over 300 fishing bait in total so far and I’m only catching sea fish. i’ve googled it and I think I’m fishing in the correct place on the pier. However, I’m just not catching it or any pier fish for that matter. I’ve made sure that it’s in season in my hemisphere and everything matches up. is this one of the rarest fish in the game or something? I just want to catch it and get it over and done with! I also read on Google that if you go to one of the islands using a NMT and you fish on the pier next to the dodo that you can catch pier fish, but 80 fish bait in and still no pier fish, only sea fish.

try a different hours perchaps? maybe the spawn rate of your tuna is affected by the sea fish spawning and you need to find an hour that has the least fish avaible
also dw tuna is rare so maybe you're just peak unlucky

try at december 9pm-4am (as the guide says) and maybe you'll have more luck

no, you won't need to rebuy the dlc, but you may need to unlock it again (not sure about that last part)

You can lay an in-game path under it, that's the only way. It probably won't work with a design that has transparency, though, since the design both won't go over the edges of the in-game path, and the in-game path will be peeking from below.
But with something like an asphalt road that has no transparency it should work fine!

I'd recommend asking in #custom-design-help🎨 there are also definitely lots of other kinds of paths with no transparency, too! Like wooden ones for example. You can also use the feature of not going over the in-game path's edge to your advantage for smoother corners/edges for example. Good luck

If the villager is going to leave your friend's island, they'll go in boxes (in their home, cleaning up and packing up stuff) the day before they leave the island. That's the moment you are able to go talk to them and invite them onto your island, as long as you have an empty plot of land on your island.
Note that you also need to have at least 6 villagers on your island

Nothing like hitting with a net or complaining to Isabelle does anything towards it

Simply, when you see a thought bubble on one of your villagers, don't talk to them unless it's your target.
(Or if you really wanna make sure if it's a move-out bubble or not, talk to them and close the game immediatelly if it's a move-out bubble, then don't talk to them for the rest of the day).
This way the bubble has a chance to transfer onto someone else overnight.
Repeat until you get the bubble on your target

Note that

• you have to have talked to the villager at least once ever
• they can't be the latest villager to have moved in
  in order for them to be able to move out

That's what I meant about him moving in and your campsite is free. If you skip one day ahead, then the kicked out villager will have left and the new house would be under construction so your campsite is free to invite someone else. So you can do it on the same IRL day but not the same game-day if the campsite is still occupied

I think it probably just depends on if you need the Poki for something? You'd want to probably transfer at the highest/best rate but you an also only transfer a max amount per day so if you're attempting to stockpile, then you'd have to do some every day. Depends on your need for it

If they’re DIY recipes you haven’t crafted yet that you’re trying to use in HHP then you can use them to design houses iirc, you just can’t use them on your main island without learning the recipe. And yes, you should be able to use whatever you have cataloged

That method of bell farming was patched out a long while ago, when tarantula + scorpion spawns were nerfed pretty tremendously. It isn't really viable for getting a lot of bells anymore, only if you need one for the museum or want a model or something

I don't think you can do that in the official app though, it allows you to scan New Leaf design QRs in order to get the designs to New Horizons. The only tool I know to be able to convert pics into designs is that one third-party site, acpatterns

Going daily onto a Kapp'n island will almost always get you one daily they also randomly wash up on your beaches, can't really affect that in any way. Those are the only sources, so just go on a Kapp'n tour every time you play and you've maximized how many you can get (without trading)

As Oona mentioned, those are the only ways to get them besides trading.
If you have grown a Gyroid on your island before, they will start spawning the day after it rains on your island too

You MUST have an unsold, empty plot available to invite a villager from another player's island, or to find villagers on mystery islands (and you can only invite one villager from a mystery island per day). A villager in boxes, or a house with the "I moved out" sign is NOT an empty plot.

Yes he is a type of gyroid I believe. You can find gyroid fragments on Kapp’n islands, if you want more! You just bury it on your island, water it, then dig it up the next day - it will be a full grown gyroid

• Villagers' gifted clothing can be removed by complaining to Isabelle about the way they dress when they actually wear the clothing item in question (note that she will remove all items currently worn by the villager).

•• Replacing Furniture ••
• Villagers have the option to invite you to visit their house when you are at a high enough friendship level. During this visit, they'll eventually propose you to buy one of their displayed items. Doing so will remove the item from their house.
• Owners of the Happy Home Paradise also have the option to directly customize villagers' houses after completion of the main part of the DLC. This also unlocks the option to reset the houses to their default layout via Isabelle.

If I don't see a bubble for 2 weeks of day by day after the first month jump, I tend to start over. it's not exact but it helps
