To use a design as custom wallpaper: While inside your house, open the custom designs app > select the design > “spread in room” > “wall, as is” or “wall, rotated”

To hang a design on a wall: While inside your house, open the custom designs app > select the design > “display here” > “canvas”

For items: have the item and some customization kits in your pocket, then use a diy workbench and pick the customize option. (If you have Cyrus on Harv’s island, he can also customize items for you)

If you have more than 12 trees in a 9x9 area, they won’t grow. Looks like that’s the issue you’re having. You’ll have to spread them out further to fully grow

Some of the DIYs can only be obtained during the Halloween event (October 31). But for the recipes obtainable throughout the month, those can be found from villagers crafting or balloons. So the only “farming” would be farming all balloons or time traveling to see what 3 recipes your villagers are crafting each day

(But not all balloons will be spooky DIYs, and villagers will not always be crafting spooky DIYs.)

Just depends. You can sell unassessed fossils for 100 bells each. Or you can take them to Blathers to assess them first, and then you can sell them to Timmy or Tommy for whatever the price of that particular fossil may be

Assessed fossils will always be worth more, so I recommend doing that if you are in need of more bells

Yes, it's possible to have fog in ACNH! It's fairly rare, but it does happen!

I had Marshal ask to move out 2 days after he moved in and he left, and today I had Annalise ask to move out and she's been here for 3 days, I tried the time traveling thing and it went to Dizzy who's been here for 2 days, the one I want to move out is Canberra and she's my starter

That could mean the bubble was on a villager who was in their home. Just keep time traveling day by day and it should eventually land on her!

A lot of the game is unlocked day by day, but you can always set your Switch's clock to the next day if you want to progress a little faster!

The penalty for having more than 6 of the same item in an 8x8 area only refers to placed items. For the larger traffic hazard penalty (having more than 45 tiles covered in an 8x8 area), I’m not 100% certain. I wouldn’t think flowers count toward that since they don’t really obstruct traffic, but I may be wrong

I happened on this tip a few minutes ago and it did more to confuse me than anything bc I made sure the paths had at least 2 tiles for villagers to walk through, and the places that had 1 tile had no issue back before I overhauled my island

There is a recent infestation of a nonsense amount of flowers from tt to get my inclines and bridges done quicker, so I had been wondering about it

You can buy saplings at nook's cranny or plant fruits and after a few days they will grow into trees

5 star rating requires trees, infrastructure, and decorations so it may be a while to achieve -- it's not only plants

House decoration tool does not exist for outside, regarding orientation of the umbrella, i think it's a shot in the dark of different angles you're displaying it. Try different angles of putting it out (like from the front, the side, the back, etc)

If they bought the stand alone DLC, any character is able to access it. If they bought it as part of the NSO + expansion package, you need to be part of that membership to access the DLC. I'd say double check if on your start screen a house symbol appear near the game version (start the game with your account). If the icon is there, try to see if you have the option at the airport

He can visit more than once in two weeks, it's just unlikely. If you're okay with time travel, though, you can always travel back and forth on the day he visits--that "refreshes" his inventory and lets you buy new art

Once you let a villager move out, they will be in boxes the next day, that means theyre in their house, packing, sweeping the floor - theyre leaving. when they're in boxes (their house is all just moving boxes and they are sweeping the floor), a friend or another user can come to your island and talk to them. if that friend has an open, non sold plot of land, they can ask the villager in boxes to move onto their island

Can villagers be glitched? I’ve been collecting villager photos and in the time that I’ve had roald, I’ve gotten about twenty other photos. I’ve had him for almost two years, have been gifting him a wrapped clothing in his style and colours for over six months, and he’s yet to give me his photo.

Has to do with your internet connection and the ability to use multiplayer games (visit each other’s island in ACNH).

On your Switch in the System Settings menus > Internet > Test Connection
(That’ll tell you which NAT type you’re currently using)

You want it to be A or B. Generally anything else will have issues with connecting

whenever you say no to a villager it resets the cooldown and it has to be at least 14 ingame days til another villager asks to move out, which could explain why they're so far apart @flat rivet

Yee every building can be moved later an indefinite amount of times for 5 000-10 000 bells, except for the plaza and airport. So essentially anything you place can be moved later just talk to Tom Nook once the plaza tent is a building

Yes, you can set the time as far back as 5:01am the same day, and the plot will stay open.

Yep, 5 am is considered the start of a new day which triggers the morning announcements from Isabelle, and all progress you’ve made (orders arrive in the mail, empty plots can autofill, island resources are refreshed, etc.)

So as long as you stay within the same day, your empty plot is safe
