If he has never visited your island, make sure you’ve donated at least 60 items to the museum. After the first visit, he will appear on random days, but you should see him about once every two weeks

Then it sounds like you need more development points. You get these from placing any furniture items. You’ll get more points depending on the type of furniture such as: large items (at least 3x1), expensive items, etc.

3. Grow stuff (fruits, flowers, pumpkins, etc) and sell to Nook's Cranny.
4. If you have NSO (Nintendo Switch Online), trade with other players by visiting the trade channels in this server and seeing where to sell your services or goods!

Hey, has anyone noticed a change/decrease in hybrid flower breeding chances? I've been time travelling in game for about 2-3 months no and I haven't been able to get a single purple windflower or blue rose. I know how to breed them, am doing it correctly, but my luck is really really bad. It took me a long time to get all the other hybrids too.

Edit to add: I do have the beautiful ordinance up as well, so even better increased chances. But these flowers are eluding me

i had a villager in boxes when i convinced a campsite villager (from using an amiibo) to move to my island. resident services said there was a free plot (the one the villager moving out was using), so the campsite villager was able to move onto my island. today, however, the plot is not claimed and i’m able to find other villagers on nmt islands. i tried to invite the same villager using the amiibo, but it told me that that villager was in the process of moving. can someone confirm that i am getting the villager i invited? i was just uncertain since the plot’s sign didnt say “sold” and because i was able to find more villagers.

If they said you had an empty plot, that would not be referring to a villager in boxes it would need to be a completely empty plot

It means you got the campsite glitch. The amiibo villager is now in your move-in queue. The only way for you to get that villager is to kick out a villager and then let the plot autofill. You have to repeat that process until that amiibo villager autofilled your plot

in Happy Home Paradise, you design villager's vacation homes! There's a seperate currency called Poki where you use that on the Happy Home Paradise island only so you don't spend bells! It can help with item collecting and other things that can benefit you on your own island! You can search up what you can get, and I definitely recommend you getting the DLC! It adds so much to ACNH!!

The easiest way to do it would be set the clock back to just before Isabelle’s announcements for the day (I usually do 4:58 am).

*Note: Do not use that method if Flick is there on a Monday. The game sets the NPCs for the week, so this would reset them and he wouldn’t be there. If it’s Monday, you need to tt forward to Tuesday, then back to Monday again.

oh, you probably ended up running into the campsite glitch. there's an in depth explanation in #glitches-archived, but basically if you tried to move in someone in your campsite while you had a villager in boxes rather than a completely empty plot or no empty plots, they ended up going into your move-in queue instead of actually moving in. so basically, to prevent it happening in the future, don't use an amiibo until the plot is completely empty or unless you have no empty plots and no one in the process of moving out

you can get cooking diys like any other diy, in villager houses for example. leif sells the crops that you’ll need to grow to make food, and you can access the cooking diy menu through any kitchen (the kitchen island, for example).

you should have got a diy for a kitchen already, but if you don’t you can even cook in a villagers house if they have one

also, @restive epoch if they’re not growing it’s an indication that there’s not enough space anyway, that’s the only reason that a tree won’t grow on grass

the spawn rates are the same, but on a mystery island it's easier to control spawns because mystery islands are smaller and you can clear them of objects that spawn certain things more easily

on your own island you might not want to chop down/dig up all the trees and pick all the flowers to prevent those from spawning their normal bugs

but on a mystery island you can go full scorched earth if you feel like it

Villagers wear randomly the clothing items you gave them, if you want them to have that outfit more often I think you can try giving them multiple copies, so that when they change from one to the other it'll look the same; there's no way to prevent them from sometimes wearing their default clothes though

Okay I have a question about time travel, When I played the game back in the beginning when it was originally released, if I time travelled, there was no consequences besides the turnips rotting. However, I’ve noticed recently that if I time travel, the Nookshop items don’t change, and none of my flowers grow? Is that weird? Or was that implemented in a new update?

going back one day doesn't trigger the new day thing, going forward or going back more than one day does I think

some things won't happen if the game doesn't think it's a new day, like nook's refreshing and flowers growing

also things like if you watered your flowers and then go back in time, they won't be watered

So, I had gone forward one day, and then set the time back to normal, but then the next day (real life time) everything in the shop stayed the same and my flowers didn’t change

actually I'm not 100% sure if going back more than one day triggers the new day announcement, I haven't time traveled backwards in awhile

in any case if you don't get the announcement it doesn't count as a new day

Not that I’m aware of. I’m not sure if their style/color preferences affect non-clothing items

Each time you water a fully bloomed flower, it has a chance to breed or clone. If successful, they’ll appear the next day.

So you have to just keep watering every day until it happens :)

In my experience, it’s been pretty random. Some of my villagers have kept their wreaths up forever, while others displayed it briefly and then took it down after a few days
*And I do believe they will always remove seasonal wreaths after that season is over

Unfortunately, it is a bit more difficult to get them to move out prior to KK’s first performance. It’s still possible, but villagers also have a chance of rolling for Project KK related approaches instead of just move out ones.

Doesn’t work like that. Scanning their card will unlock a poster of that character, but they won’t be able to visit your campsite. NPC amiibo cards can be scanned at the Roost coffee shop, Harv’s photo studio, and HHP (if you have the DLC)

You can do whats called time-travelling, or tt for short, by going into your switch settings and changing the time of day to your preferred time of day

If youre timetravelling a lot, dont close the game between saves! If you save the game,
exit and go to settings,

So I just used time travelling and got a villager from the campsite to agree to move in and kick out one of my villagers, can I save and time travel back to the present now or is there something else I need to do first, like do I need to wait for them to actually move in?

If you time travel back to the present day (or any day backwards) then the plot will be empty, the villager you kicked will be gone and the plot will say it’s sold to the camper you invited. Skip another day and that new villager will be fully moved in and unpacking their boxes
