Ok that's a bit weird. If you're saying you've upgraded cards to level 8 then you should have little difficulties proceeding to the next extinctions.

Doing all the dino cards to level 8 is too wasteful of mutagen. Ideally, Archosaur to Sauropoda should be no more than level 3 or 4, then Theropoda to ||Brachiosaurus|| level 6 or 7. Only when you unlock ||Tyrannosaurus|| onwards should cards be bought and upgraded to levels 7-9.

Actually, that would not make sense at all. Firstly- that line leads into the Beyond, so it's about exploration of space. And that starts with the moon, then our solar system, our galaxy and... beyond.

And secondly, a line from Home Star would unlock Solar System right from the start.

I do agree with the first one, but for the 'Start = Solar System' thing, I think trees can have a start anywhere. It's like you want to draw a Mind-map, eventually you can start at the top, middle, bottom, anywhere. It doesn't matter that the start should stay at the bottom unless you want it to be scientifically accurate which in my opinion it's okay to make home star a start.

Using sci notation it's a simple subtraction.
In my first pic here:

• humans generate e33 in 9s, lets say e32. Costs e34, so they pay for themselves in e2 seconds (34-32).
• hive life generates e27/s and costs e30, pays for itself in e3 secs (30-27).
• etc
  Only the one that pays for itself the fastest is "the best" investment, up to the point the cost increased to much.
