The Bronze Age expansion is almost ready! We have just a few fixes that we’d like to get some more testing on before its production release.

Beta 23.30

  • Introduced 2 new secret achievements.
  • Improved Bronze Age tooltip icons.
  • Badge boost balance adjustments/Fixes.
  • Translations added for the Bronze Age expansion.
  • You can use nanobots in the Mesozoic Valley.

  • Fixed: Card traits earned don’t turn gold on the garden
  • Fixed: Generator icons are blank in Tree until earned

Note: There were no tuning changes in this build, so we have turned off the Beyond Jump temporarily. We expect to turn it on once more before release.

Hello, Archie Beta Testers! Today’s Beta (24.03) may seem nebulous, but we swear that it’s as precise as it can be!

Come Rock the Cosmic Cradles with us in 🌌 Beyond E24 🌃 ! This is the first (early) beta of the new episode, and includes:

  • 4 new generators highlighting the birth of stars in nebulas
  • 1 Astronomy Mission, 2 new constellations (+ a new kind of constellation bonus)
  • 10 achievements
  • Second tuning pass on Episode 24
  • Fixed: Deimos is missing in the Beyond Tech Tree
  • Fixed: Asterisms in Perseus show wrong names
  • Fixed: Drop lines to Garden objects fade at inappropriate times

This is an early beta, so most visual assets are not final or are placeholder. There’s no need to add bugs in Discord for placeholder art for generator icons, constellations, achievements; or missing translations. Everything else is fair game, however!

  • Updated Tuning and New Missions

  • Faster Tuning with Updated Missions 🏃🏼
  • Major Garden Content Update
  • New Garden Camera Movement + Ability to Zoom in on Individual Images
  • Finalized Art for Tree background, Node / Generator Images, and Banner
  • Localization for All Text (Test your native language in the event!)

🌃 Beyond Episode 24: Cosmic Cradles 🌌

  • Set Horsehead and Orion Nebula to work with each other
  • Fixed: Pillars of Creation fading is off-angle
  • Fixed: progress bar isn’t increasing on dark matter astronomy missions
  • Fixed: 🐍 Serpens Constellation isn’t working (because everyone was getting its effect before it was earned!)
  • Performance: outer nebulas fade out as you approach objects inside them
  • Fixed: positions were off on over a dozen stellar objects. Can you spot the difference?
  • Fixed: no Darwinium is coming from rank 18+ constellations’ achievements darwinium

Hello, Beta Testers! Today’s Beta (24.26) trumpets the arrival of improvements to the Iron Age Garden, and more!

Beyond Episode 24: 🌌 Cosmic Cradles 🐣

  • Icons for Ep 24 Nodes on the Tree and Garden
  • Visual updates for all Ep 24 generators in the Garden
  • New tuning for Ep 24
  • Fixed: Protostar cannot rotate in one axis
  • Fixed: Mission in Ep 24 gives dark matter rather than Red Dwarf.

🏹 Iron Age 🧨- Wander through a whole new section of the Civilization Garden and tour the ancient wonders!

  • 6 New Nodes highlighting the advancement of technology and warfare
  • 5 New Augmentations (Logit Prizes) collecting marvels of the ancient world
  • Augmentations in each section of the Civ tree are now locked behind the first glitch (metabit) node. This keeps the tree cleaner for first-time players and makes new unlocks more exciting once players are ready for them.
  • New balancing for Main simulation through the Iron Age

There are two 🐞 known issues in this new area of the Civ tree. They will be fixed in the next beta, and there is no need to report them.

  1. There is a node near “University” that cannot be unlocked. This does not block progress.
  2. There is ‘Z-fighting’ on one of the new Logit Prizes which causes the ground to flicker in a portion of the garden on Android. This does not cause any further issues.

Misc:

  • 🎵 New sound effects update on purchasing nodes, generators, logit prizes, gaining logits, and partial and complete missions in events
  • 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Testing new multiplayer feature for explore events

Hello, Beta Testers! Today’s beta_icon Beta (24.35) is focused on bug fixes, especially text, as much of the team is at the Game Developers’ Conference … and as we gear up for the launch of the 🎨 Explore: Visual Art 🖼️ event!

➕New features

  • Save backups are now automated, sent to the cloud, and linked to anonymous playerid for easier recovery
  • Primary Sim: Improved Singularity/reset cutscene, including Semblance cameo
  • Iron Age: Translations are in for new nodes
  • Iron Age: revised tooltips for older nodes
  • Beyond: Dimmed the glow around stars in Tree, which had become so bright that text was hard to read in some languages

🦠 New Explore Event: Outbreaks 🤒 starts: Saturday 4/6 (11am EST) - Friday 4/12 (10am EST)

  • The music event will be ending early on Saturday 4/6 (10am EST) to make way for this new event.
  • Translations are not implemented yet for this event so please change your language to English in order to play it.
  • This event is in a very early stage of development so many of the elements will be subject to change, please let us know what you think and give us feedback!

Other Changes:

  • crown You can now click on the multiplayer button in events to bring up the leaderboard view. Let us know what you think!
  • 🪙 Iron Age Garden: Re-tuned costs, and fixed visual issues.
  • black_hole Beyond E24: We are “content complete”! Constellations, translations, touched up and repositioned nebulas … Semblance has said that the simulation sufficiently models reality.
  • golden_logit Augmentations Store: Voyager 1 and 2 are fixed and back in the Store. The store icons are now shiny and full color - what do you think?

Hello, Beta Testers! In today’s Beta (25.24), We have a pretty big beta update for you! The first beta of Beyond Episode 25 is finally here, as well major updates to the Outbreak Event, the removal of the Research Race, and other game updates.

  • Home is where the heart is in 🌌 Beyond Episode 25 - Journey to the Center. stardust A whole new Episode is open to beta.
  • Update to 🦠 Explore Event: Outbreaks starts Sunday 5/4 (11am EST) - Friday 5/8 (10am EST)
  • In order to make the upcoming new 📈 Multiplayer - feature more polished, we decided to ♻️ retire the Research Race. We thank you for your feedback while the feature was active. We are also planning to add a Friend List in its place.

Other Changes:

  • Banners for ♾️ Infinity Pass on Ad Purchases.
  • Updated to UI and Bug Fixes for New Multiplayer Feature.

Notes:

  • The Beyond Episode 25 is still in early development, so many visual assets are placeholders and not final.

Hello Beta Testers! Happy Memorial Day weekend!! We launched a surprise update (25.88) with the brand New Middle Age expansion, which includes:
-Four new technology nodes
-3 new Augmentations
-1 new Metabit unlock
-14 new unlockable items in the civilization garden
-Tuning updates
-Various changes to overall tree layout.

Hello Beta testers! We have taken this beta release to a whole new level - literally!

  • New Explore: Cats event starts Saturday 6/1 (11am EST) - Wednesday 6/5 (10am EST). cat_intense_stare
  • New Challenge Mode for Explore Events - if you finish the whole event with time to spare, enter Challenge Mode. You will restart the event and everything will cost more, but Missions will reward you with Science Points. How far can you go?💪
  • Beyond E25: Added tree background, upgraded Milky Way garden models, fixed translation errors☄️
  • Event Leaderboards: The top ten spots on each leaderboard are now one reward tier for a friendlier, less cutthroat experience. 😊 Also, you can now claim rewards after an event has ended (even before the next event).

Hello β Beta Testers! It’s Tuesday–not our usual beta day–but this is not our usual beta release. 💺Buckle up.

Most of our team is going to be out for a ☀️summer break🕶️ for the next few weeks. While we’re out, development is going to be quiet. Beyond Episode 25 will go out with our next production release in about 3 weeks; and since 🐈 Explore: Cats came out, it will be a while before we have a new Event to test. But we want to go Beyond what we usually do for beta to make sure that you’ve got plenty to play while we’re out.

This beta release (v 26.87) has an early beta of the rest of the Beyond through Episode 30. The Episodes are there. The generators and trait cards are there. Achievements are in. The missions are there. There are placeholder visuals in the Garden, along with a few surprises - our universe is vast and amazing!

It is an early beta, so many, many visual assets are placeholder, and many others that are in are going to get some beautiful ✨polish when we get back. We don’t need bug reports on Garden objects or icons that aren’t complete. We haven’t translated past Episode 25, so we don’t need translation issues reported. But we definitely want your 🖋️ feedback on tuning, on English text, on the story, and what ‘made it’ into the game. We can use bug reports on how things work, like the cool bugs recently with zooming out on the Tree or losing the UI during rank up. We’ve really appreciated the feedback you’ve given us so far in the Beyond (and on Events).

The ➿ Beyond Jump is also working overtime in this release. The Beyond Jump is turned back on, so as you finish each episode, the game will save a Beyond Jump for you. You can use the pink Jump Button in the tree near Alpha Centauri to jump back to the end of any episode you’ve completed. But this is your choice! We will not force a reset until we get back and have released Episode 25.

About ◼️ spoilers. After the break, we’re going to continue to release the Beyond (and events) on the schedule that we have set here in 2024 - so some of what you’ll see in this release will not come out for a 📆 very long time. Please respect players who want to be surprised as new episodes come out in production. Use spoiler tags where you can. Also, remember that some of what you see will change before it comes out - that’s why we release things to the beta community for feedback.

In preparation for our next production hotfix release, we released (27.63) to closed beta. This version has several critical bug fixes found on the Beyond 25 release alongside some minor QoL improvements. Keep in mind that the new event will come out on our usual friday's beta this week.

27.63 Hotfix:
-Added a Darwinium notification on the news feature.
-Moved the profile card to the Settings menu.
-You can now use Darwinium to skip 4 hours on astronomy missions.
-Fixed an issue where Leaderboard prizes are not rewarded after an event ends.
-Fixed an issue where the game would softlock after starting Challenge Mode.
-Fixed Crab Nebula and Crab Pulsar size on the Beyond tree.

Get ready, Reality Reboot is entering its final push before release! There will be no new Alpha version releases this week as we shift focus to our first Beta release.

Beta will be transitioning in phases, starting with Steam before coming to Android and iOS. Instructions on how to switch from Alpha to Beta will be shared next week. Due to the changes made to the Primary Simulation, we need to thoroughly test our Save Conversion System and resolve any issues before Beta goes live in all platforms. We appreciate your patience as we ensure a stable experience for the total rollout.

Some important notes:

  • Alpha progress and save data will not carry over into Beta. The Beta version of the game will automatically load your Beta/ Main Game save from prior to Reality Reboot.
  • Players who wish to continue their Alpha progress may transfer their Alpha save file via the Save Manager. However, we do not recommend this. Please be aware that no support will be provided for any compatibility issues.
  • All Reality Reboot feedback will move to the Beta channels on Discord. The Public Alpha channels will be retired to focus conversations on Beta as we approach the final stretch.
  • As we prepare Reality Reboot for official release, the Alpha version will also eventually be phased out and all future updates will continue in Beta.

We’ve found that some players have higher Sim Levels (above 63) than expected. This happened because older saves still have Reality Engine upgrades that are no longer accessible, causing progression issues.

To fix this, we’ve added a new feature that lets you reset your save back to the start of Amphibian content. Only the Reality Engine and Sim Level will be changes to be the correct progression

👉 If your Sim Level is above 63, please use this reset!

🐸 We’ve fine-tuned the Amphibian content and would love your help testing it with this update 🙏

🔘 You can find the reset button in the Reality Engine, at the bottom of the Statistics panel.

We just released an update on a new Steam branch. Look at the instructions below to see how to access it.

This version is an update to automation, specifically an overhaul to Nanobots. This will be available on Steam only.

45.20 (Nanobots Branch)

  • NOTE: Nanobot functionality has been overhauled ONLY for the nanobots in the Primary Sim. Changes below do not apply to the side-simulations.
  • 6 new Nanobot Nodes in the Reality Engine.
  • Nanobots are now on a 10-minute timer.
  • Cooldown for the nanobots has been removed.
  • New Nanobot panel added to the reality engine. Assign your nanobots individually to either tapping or buying.
  • Total Nanobot count has been reduced from 12 to 6.
  • Nanobots in the side simulations have not changed and still behave as they did before.

If you want to help provide feedback on this feature, please fill out this form. We have a lot more planned to improve the nanobots (more upgrades, individual skins, etc.) and we'd love your input to help us decide what direction to take them in.

To access the new branch, you’ll need to follow these steps:

  • Right-click your game in your library

Thank you for your reports about the crashing issue on iOS. We just released a new beta update on Steam (45.51), the mobile version should be available later today.

45.51 (Industrial Rev Prod Hotfix)
-Crashing bug on iOS fixed.
-Fixed an issue with the Human Spark tooltip description translations.
-Fixed an issue with Hindi language displaying Indonesian text.

If no issues are found, we are planning to roll this update to Steam production tomorrow morning.

We just released a beta exclusive update on Steam (45.61). Mobile testers should receive this update later today. This patch brings a wave of Nanobot improvements alongside several QoL fixes.

  • Updated Nanobot tapping logic, animations, floating text, and buy-mode colors.
  • Cooldown has been re-added to the primary sim Nanobot flow.
  • Nanobots now prioritize buying the top item in the side panel and can purchase multiple generators with upgrades.

For this weekend’s beta, we are releasing a hotfix update (46.45) focused on resolving bugs from the Nanobots Reboot Steam release, and some minor improvements. If testing remains stable over the weekend, we plan to roll this version out to production early next week.

46.45 (Beta) Changes
-Added "Mid" quality mode for Steam. This improves FPS performance, particularly when the game is running in the background.
-Darwinium Synthesizer is now available while offline.
-Fixed window screen sizing.
-Various minor bug fixes and stability improvements.
