And in same time players who moved server can’t have same permissions? Situation with vinograd was meme, he almost every season top4 in ru, was already in eu in summer, but still don’t have role. Same was with me when I played NA, after my team qualify to top4 stage and I wanted to say something important in other channel I did not had role, asked amaunet for that, she said I don’t have enough tournament games in my account.

500 battles is a hard line wg set. In your case, you could have probably easily applied for the role with your eu account and would have gotten it then, I offered that and then never heard back from you after that 😅

I definitely agree with/about Svino, but if we start making exceptions, we'd have to do it for everyone and then there'd be no point to verifying someone's actually played tours at all

Because it's easy to claim to be someone you're actually not, without verification, and with a lot of players changing names and clans all the time, I do hope you're not expecting us to keep up with that and your rerolls on other servers as well 😅

I disagree and never will. The tournament community is very small, if a player only participates in quick tournaments, this does not mean that he will not decide to participate in a larger tournament. Playing in any tournaments should be encouraged

I mean players from quick tournaments have their own rules(pc allowed) and their own map pool with Yamato harbour, canyon etc. And in same time big tournament also have their own rules(touch only) and their own map pool. It’s like one group of players have to decide map pool for big tournament where they will not play.

tbh Vano's got a point when it comes to actual CW maps pool on the fact that Mobile device players should be more legit to vote on what maps they want to see or not, a way this can work is by keeping the same maps for the qualifying stage but then after that top 16 teams could get the right to vote which maps should be played during the actual tournament, it might be hard to organise but i don't see what could be wrong with that (except map selection rigging 🙄 )

thing is that PC players also have tourney player role, that's what Vano is highlighting, this vote is good for QT's, regular tournaments and early stages of season tournaments, but it might become upsetting for some better teams that they have to play maps they are disadvantaged on (purely bcs they either dont know how to play on it or they just dont like it), the idea of a second vote during the later stages of a season tournament is just an idea that i think would help despite being painful to organise

Some maps are just bad from a tournament gameplay perspective. They lead to coinflip wins or stalemates with repetitive gameplay because there is little to no other better way to play the map.

This is really why some maps shouldn’t be in the map pool.

The same gripes for those who don’t like ghost factory, Hellas, and other maps that don’t have anything bad about them! As a player with extensive top 32 experience 💀, I recommend we just use the maps that are given. Sure, ghost factory plays different than other maps, but for veterans who complain it’s the “same boring maps” all the time, voting out unique maps is kinda amogus. Low key, I think matches on Yamato would be funny because you can’t rotate anything, so it would be very rock-paper-scissors-esque and would probably produce some wild upsets. Dead rail is obviously cancer because whoever wins med side wins the game 90% of the time but that’s very unique compared to other maps too. Falls creek would be cancer but it would be fun imo to try something new.

There better not be any complaints about boring map rotations.

You have the NA role so this is purely based off American comp, idk anything about EU or Asia. The 60tp is used in pairs of 2, sometimes teams will use more but 2 is pretty standard. That is 1200 damage not accounting for tungsten. With tungsten assuming your 60tps know how to aim that is 1400 damage taken off a yoh in one Salvo. The most a yoh can do in return is 300 damage, because it's a low alpha clipper with high dpm, it needs time to dump the clip, 60s don't do that, they just poke and reload. If the yohs push the 60s they still lose because then the 60s will fire again and kill one of your yohs, then you are missing a dpm tank and you lose the game. 60tps are bad for pushing but yohs are even worse, which is why is4s and is7s come into play, they yolo and die so the 60tps farm. Everything the yoh does is countered by the 60tp which is why there were not a lot of yohs in the 2021 blitz cup, there is literally no point. If you want dpm you run an e6 or even better an strv k. And if you wanna nuke a crossing you use the 60tp, crazy concept. Krans are good but they usually just pull up to an unfortunate soul, mag dump them and back out praying they survive. If they die then whatever the rest of the team finishes off whoever they focused and win the game. There is absolutely no reasons to run a yoh in the current meta

Guys, pardon the complete newbie observation, but it was suggested I should post over here.

The tournament system could use some clarification/improvement. I think my tournament team came in 1st Saturday.(???) It seems like we got 1st place rewards.(???) There was nothing in notifications or anything to tell us how we finished. We just waited for the next battle and then started receiving rewards. My whole team was confused. We expected a screen or something. It seems that opening the free daily small containers comes with more fanfare than completing (winning?) a tournament. It is surely too late to get any improvement on the tournament notifications for 9.7, but perhaps this could be put on the schedule for 9.8.

Indeed! Like in the last Twister Cup. Their meta is way different compared to the Asia server. Fun fact: many Chinese server teams and players actually also play on the Asia server, and they are pretty good… as in top 16 all the way to top 4 level of good.

To further this point, I also think a good meta is a diverse meta, class wise.

However I disagree with enforcing a number of a specific class in tournament since strats are map dependent and you are also creating a bottle neck for new ideas. Which would run X of a certain tank or type class.

Enforcing such a rule is also just hiding from the fact that right now the meta is not balanced (these are my terms and I’m pretty sure the balancing department disagrees with me).
Heavy tanks have been dominating for while, since the op T100 is gone actually and they dominated before anyway…

The fact is that faster heavy tanks and increasingly hard to penetrate armor or high dpm heavies or multiple of those at once just negates the main advantage of mediums which are to be pretty good at everything but not being able to tank as much as heavies…usually also having a better gun dpm and handling wise.

How are medium tanks which on average have 1k9hp~ and 3k3dpm~ and 50-55kmh supposed to compete with heavies like strv-k or e6 or type which feature either 80-90% of medium’s mobility have 70-80% of their dpm or insanely good armor…these tanks simply push meds out of the meta.

Not speaking about TD’s which have been useless in comp for ages because when you’re behind it’s hard to use a terrible (understatement) heavy to get back into the game.

The best way to get things back into order would be avoiding having insanely fast heavies or with very good dpm and/or buff mediums guns or survivabilty.

To avoid power creep rebalancing is probably the best option.

On the NA server it looks like a player can register for the tournament up to 3.5 hours after it begins. The red text at the top shows this, and the words at the bottom do too. Using PT times, I can register at 9:29PM for a tourney that started at 6:00PM.

I put this a few hours ago into #news-discussion because server scheduling mistakes seem like news to me, not tournament discussion, but I was told to put it over here now.... 🙄

I think it is usable in tournaments open to Tier X tanks as well as tournaments open to Tier IX-X Tanks considering it is a tier X tank. It is definitely not usable in tier VIII tournaments though.
