Good idea about trying to get a build going before raiding. There’s a pinned spreadsheet in the build advice chat that has a section for builds in it. I recommend just going 6 red core standard dps build

throughout the raids there a a few builds you need to run also depending on where you are positioned at each encounter as they all require coordination

if you have good teammates you could ask to play the positions that require similar builds like tanking in the final boss in ih and getting codes in the fieser chamber

a lot of the raids need a few people with high dps aswell, and possibly try making a skill hybrid build with temper proof as that’s viable in both dh and ih

Not exactly sure what your asking but it takes 5 to open and keys in your inventory don't reset each week.

Technically speaking, if your going for a double stack then 5/1/6/1 will get you the full 20 stacks. When you swap shoulders "one" of those 2 bullets gets counted as setting the stacks off, and the other starts counting stacks. So what happens is your first set of stacks is counted I'm even numbers, but when you swap shoulders and start again it's counting odd, 1, 3, 5, etc and you need to get to 10.

It just depends. If your reference to the “tunnel method” is the Faraday Skip, then the more PFE mods you have on your build, the more likely you are to survive anything and everything even if you aren’t actively receiving heals. Most, if not all, tank builds on Morozova have anywhere between 3-6 PFE mods equipped. Some medic or DPS builds even run between 1-3 PFE mods as well. So to answer your question, yes, you can definitely run 3 or more of them however, in the case of some more specialized headhunter builds, the more experienced players would prefer to just spec fully into HSD and not require dependency on PFE mods to keep themselves alive.

You can definitely use status builds during portions of the raids that do not have a Boss. Can be quite helpful when used correctly however, it is probably better and suggested to stick on a DPS build for portions of the raid that include a Boss.

So the basics, throw a skill in with technician on, you get protection from shock within 5m of that skill. You generally want more than 1, and you don't want to rely on that skill being a heal hive that can quickly run out of charges.

The first time you enter the electricity you will take damage, the second time you won't, and if your doing "full faraday" the third time you will.

Protection from elites or even a single armor core can make a real difference without sacrificing time, but aren't required.

I'm kind of guessing at where your struggling, so more detail on where it's going wrong would help if that doesn't answer it.

I'm definitely going to encourage at least one armor core or a PFE mod. Also my heal build was setup wrong. I fixed that. I think that will make a big difference.

We are going into the tunnel once we hear the barrage coming then we start to exit and half of us die, all the way. Heals going down, walking out, instantly dead. Seems to be damage that goes straight to health too.

That sounds like your not being covered by faraday by the time your leaving. You want the skills placed closer to the edge since your area of protection is a circle. You want to be able to leave and enter from more than just a tiny area, but you also want enough coverage that everyone can line up behind the tanks.

What is your basic group setup? Like 1 or 2 healers/tanks? How many people running tech

The timing for leaving is basically as soon as the mortars stop and you won't be insta killed. You should all be out well before the gun stops shooting

People use both. Revive is more useful, but the sniper turret will always be up to provide faraday

Probably not ideal to run a skill build in addition to the jammer build on RB as you'll be doing minimal dmg to the overall healthpool of RB whenever it's up but if one were forced to run a skill build for whatsoever reason, probably any glass cannon skill build w/ a capacitor in hand for the instances of chungas would work out.

Nah I'm not always right. Just know the red HW build works cause I run it myself in lfgs sometimes. But if you're referring to a red FI build with the FI chest in the build then yes, you'll probably need to rely on some team buffs. IIRC it's around 80% skill dmg but I can most definitely be wrong.

I think you can access the raids w/o the warlords dlc. I rmbr seeing some gearscore players in my raids as opposed to SHD watch. Unless I misunderstood your question and you’re asking whether or not you can DUO (2 man) the raids w/o the dlc then you definitely cannot. You’ll need to own the dlc and have access to stronger gear if you wish to duo the raids.

Yes but keep in mind you still need to do the 2 projects involving foundry bulwark and future initiative before hand. Then you need to do a fresh weeks loot run (first run of the week) for each exotic piece from each boss. You cannot get the pieces on Discovery.

On the final phase of morazova why can't we immediately immune her again and go back in the tunnel? What's stopping us from skipping destroying the train phase?

Using the "faraday" method

you can even kill her (not just turn her back) using the nego method, but because the train is still alive your group will be stuck in purgatory because the train is still alive. Only way to kill the train is by putting in all keys

Nego only works on boss 1 and 2 solely because the end of the encounter is tied to the death of the boss. Since boss 3 and 4 are tied to other mechanics (shutting down the tower with the key/destroying the train) killing them with nego will not result in the encounter ending.

Boss 3 is interesting because Williams will just infinitely spawn no matter how many times you kill ‘em with nego. Moro on the other hand just puts you into purgatory as Raucey stated.

Well you can either use the ravenous chunga method or the rocket add weakpoint method. The chunga method takes less coordination as the nego player makes use of ravenous to provide themselves with all the damage. The rocket add is much faster however it does require team buffs/coordination.

I think they mean kite boomer. Kiting is basically drawing aggro of boomer and bringing him to the person on the turret so that the person on the turret can shoot his backpack and down him

Hello! I’ve been playing the game a few months. Just started the New York expansion and nearly at level 40, and done the world tiers in DC. My clan and I are wanting to start doing raids but in all honesty every time I mention it there’s at least one person who puts the sh*ts up me about it. Is it really that scary? What happens if you start a raid and fail? Do we lose anything or is it just a case of trying again?

Any help on getting started is much appreciated! I’ve basically been told I shouldn’t do raids, and I shouldn’t go in the dark zone. And I’m like… well why are they in the game if I’m not supposed to do it? 🤔

Raids aren't nearly as scary as the peeps you play with make it out to be, especially if you have a group that knows what to do (I like to have at least 6 of them in a group; no less or it'll probably end up being a disaster)

Regarding failing: there are multiple checkpoints throughout the raid, so if you end up wiping on a certain section, everyone will go back to the last checkpoint available

I agree with what wyvern said, but you will need to get to level 40 in order to play it, and you should get yourself geared up with a solid build to prepare for it before jumping straight in.

A level 30 can join a level 40 raid, and they will get scaled up a bit. The way the scaling works though will still make them quite weak and they will basically be dead weight. Add in that 95% of those players don't have an actual build and are just throwing on whatever has the highest gearscore and they will be completely useless.

I don't know how to break it diplomatically but due to how 30-40 works, any good gearscore raid loot will become obsolete once you start the expansion

Bear in mind that level 30 is heavily nerfed. You have not just a proportionally lowered damage, but the crit (especially the chance) is also lowered. In end effect you have a cubed loss of damage. Then you also have some gears/weapons that do not exist or do not normally drop in level 30 (so you have to be level 40 and then convert). Finally, farming good gear in level 30 is a chore, due to no optimization and no Legendary difficulty.

If you just host a raid, you’ll get get one pretty quickly. People typically prefer joining over hosting. Doesn’t matter if you’re experienced or not as a host. Just get the people in first and run it. Someone will speak up and lead the raid eventually even if the host is inexperienced.

Starting out no, just bring a dps build, but once your familiar with the raids there are certain builds for certain roles that are useful to have. Main ones being a healer, tank, and jammer, but there are others that are useful to have as well.

So most people will just run the same DPS build all the way through, and that's fine, but if you want to min/max it does help to adjust for each fight. So for example on boomer I use the red FI build to kite boomer. A pure hsd build to chunk a ton of damage on the triplets, a red HB build (may be switching back to strikers now) for buddy/Lucy, and a variation on the standard DPS build on razorback with rav/DCH/D50 to take out weak points.

easiest way is to rav stack on him, then shoot the backpack with a DCH+regulus, just like 1 tapping a RB weakpoint. You can do it with a full tank build outside of the DCH. The backpack is a weakpoint, so you get the huge damage like you do on razorback and it will 1 tap. Like others said though, this isnt really necessary since you can just stay outside the room and avoid it altogether

Just keep an eye out in the lfg channel for someone saying LF(x) (looking for x number of players) RV(x) (raid voice channel x) DH (dark hours)/IH (iron horse). When you see a group with open spots just jump in and ask who you need to add, then add them on uplay. Make sure your name in the discord channel matches uplay. Let people know your new so they can explain what you need to do and what your role is for each boss. Most people have no issues walking people through for the first time as long as your upfront about it. Ideally you'd have a dps build ready to go with +50 chc and +150 chd

It takes a coordinated group that all knows how to adjust on the fly and not just sit in 1 spot doing a single job that was assigned at the start. The first people who start on 41 and , 45 will stay on from the start of the fight until they down Boomer and he knocks them off. Double downing boomer consistently makes this much easier, as well as having people run Nego to help chip away at boomers health.

People will usually be willing to carry you as long as you have a decent build and basic knowledge of the raid mechanics. Also don’t do discovery, it has different mechanics from regular and on regular you can get stuff like the raid exotics. You can’t get the exotics on discovery

Scorpio makes holding a door easy. Chem foam is also super useful and should hold ads long enough for you to safley burst them down.

I'd generally recommend not actually using PGC on marazova since you can be downed by a single mortar which is sometimes unavoidable.

when the alarm sounds that means its time to shoot the cannon thats inside the furnace with 2 rockets. You can either shoot one from each side, or intentionally waste one of them early so that you get both rockets on 1 side. The cannon that needs to be shot is in the far back of the room and theres a yellow weakpoint at its base that needs to be shot

Well, first you want to get a red dps build before even thinking about raiding. Some group or clans would be fine carrying and teach you regardless of how terrible of a build you're running but most wouldn't take a chance or just tell you to farm a build.

And Imma assume you're looking for ps4/5 raids so, your best chances would be in #lfg-raid-console and active clans that does raids.

How long? Depends on the group. A normal run is about 1 h to 1:30 h with explanations. A quicker run can be around 30min (just casual speed).

Any info, well which questions do you have? I think there are some good videos on youtube explaining a bit whats going on in IH. You need a red dps build. And then just let the raid leader know that you run IH for the first time. He will give you as much info as you need for your positions.

random and probably dumb question, is it possible to solo the strongholds? I’m new to the division and just reached level 30 and am at the point to challenge strongholds. I was wondering if it’s comparable to something like the Destiny raids where you need other players for certain sequences and fights or if it was possible to just tooth and nail through them solo, I don’t have any online friends nor trust randoms from matchmaking so any help/knowledge is appreciated

In a separate character’s inventory. Not the stash. Then run the raid with one that did the project and the pieces drop again.

It can be any character once your account owns the blueprint. As long as there isn't a regulus on character or stash you'll get the parts on a fresh run.

As long as you have the Regulus final parts project active, fresh run will grant you the Regulus parts from bosses and final box, regardless of you having another Regulus in your inventory or stash. The requirement for not having Regulus on character or stash is for crafting it, not pieces dropping in raid.

there was an update where all players were granted the regulus projects again regardless of whether you have completed it. I progressed them to the final stage for the Regulus parts and keep it at it. That allows me to collect the exotic pieces from raid bosses with Regulus on my character. I am not aware of another way to resurface the project.

What sort of unique drops? The exotic parts drop doesn't prevent other rewards from dropping as well, I don't see this being an issue.

I can see FI and Foundry parts dropping along side the exotic parts in my most recent run, including Foundry chest. But as Aspect said, these are no longer raid exclusive and I am not too concerned about it, doing a countdown farm for these players would be way more convenient than raid.

I just checked another run of mine, those unique parts still drop alongside the exotic pieces, not an issue at all.

I am not sure if that project bug is only occuring on PC, but it was mass granted to players from one of the maintenance way back.

@timber tulip I dont really care about the builds as long as the guy listens in my raids 🤷‍♀️ I agree, a red dps build is useful for the whole team. But if you cant play it, also not good for the team.

Some groups are into different things, im on PS and my guys take players thru DH everyday and are dropping EB's like crazy. I also do youtube and made a XMAS EB give away event video that asked players to make 2 builds, join the discord and ill raid with them. We finish the raid in 20-22 with keys, and if a player doesnt get the EB we move on to the next guy with builds. so it goes really fast. So for us, having a guy with builds goes a long way to keep the train moving. None of us are interested in 60+ minute raids, or teaching people every detail of the raid when they simply want the chance to open the box, its simple. You want that raid exotic, make 2 builds and i will personally run the raid with you. Or you can complain that you shouldnt have to be bothered with making yourself useful and demand to be carried throughout the raid and expect some exotic to be placed at your feet.

In my discord i have guys at SHD level 36 who made the 2 builds and we got them into the raid instantly, so i have very little patience for those who whine and complain that making a build is too much trouble and just expect me to dedicate my personal time to them as in individual if they dont feel like taking any action to help the team beyond showing up lol

absolutely, the benefit is getting finished with the raid in 20 mins, versus some absurd amount of time with a group that just wants any warm body. I think as adults we all have things to do offline, i respect the time of my clan members at the end of the day

we can get 4-5 new players the chance to open their own box in 90-120 mins, which is just more efficient for my guys. We dont do the 2 hour raid then make 3 guys do paper rock scissors for a potential Eb lol

You dont need an amount of time although you have one carry with no build but listening 🤷‍♀️ but as I said its ok whatever rules you have. I made the experience that especially those guys without builds need more help and dont find any. So I like to help such guys and I am glad to have friends who jump in for such raids.

what i mean is: I have like 2 hours at a time to play during my day. That 2 hours amounts to 6 back to back raids each with a new FTC who stops and grabs keys. they are taught a specific position and the mechanic is explained. My Clan builds raiders. They have the build they need to ensure the raid is done in 20-25 mins. If they like the raids, they are always welcome back to join knowing they cant get keys besides the final key. But also we wont simply keep adding a carry to the raid and kick a clan guy out. We just want those without the chance to complete the raid to get keys and open the box.

we dont enjoy anything that involves having 3-4 guys with tank builds trying to fit a square peg into a round hole for multiple hours. Some communities are into that, just not mine. We just want to get those who understand that each raid is endgame content and have made 2 builds the chance to run with a very experienced group. As you said, 90% of these guys arent interested in learning each nuance of the raid on their first time. its overwhelming. They just want the opportunity to complete the raid and open that box.

if the raid takes 20 mins, and they can get that Eb, they are more inclined to help others. If the raid took 3 hours and 1 guy got an EB, he may think its normal for a raid to take that long and have no desire to participate in such a fiasco again any time soon lol

I make no apologies, im not for the exotics dropping in the open world, and i dont support people who want rewards before working for them. I'm north of 3k DH clears and will help ANYBODY who decides to be a team player, the others arent my concern. I can log out and watch Netflix lol.

I agree with @timber tulip. Not a fan of them having raid exclusives drop randomly in the DZ. Our clan also helps people all the time with raids and the majority do not do DZ. If there is now less reasons to do raids then people who raid to help others get the exotics will stop playing Div 2 and the population will get even smaller. There are so many things they can do to make the DZ better. Just having a chance to get an exotic there won't be the reason for people to keep playing it.

I think most of the players still want to run a raid rather than farming in the DZ. And players who like pvp, invest their time there, why should they not have the chance of a ravenous or eb. I agree, there is better stuff to do than putting raid exklusives in the DZ. But I dont think there is less to do for us who like to run raids. Lets see what will happen 😅

my thinking is that raids will still be a quicker and easier way to get them, but DZ has a lower minimum build/skill/time investment (it just takes a lot more luck to get a drop and extract safely, so probably take longer on average)
