so even with t6, shields will still be obliterated instantly in heroic, it lasting .5s at t1 wont change much when it has 2.5x hp at t6

Short answer look under legacy manhunts on map screen. Definitely something you should do in a group if you’re new to the game.. space administration, tidal basin, Potomac, Roosevelt and Iron Works are where the climax missions are located five in the morning so I probably forgot one.

specialization is different to what you mentioned, but i normally use Gunner or if you have it some people use Firewall for the Striker shield

Yes and no, doesnt sell exotics but a couple of rare items and dupes of certain speicifcs items after you unlock them the first time.
One special NPC has a random spawn near you called snitch that gives bounties, just talking to him will make the vendors spawn and show up in the map

Run a build with low ammo consumption and ammo regen, or a pistol build. 4pc hotshot on a sniper build will do fine, as will ongoing directive.

the most straightforward method is to run a headshot Determined build; either sniper or pistol works, though sniper is likely to be more efficient.
If you have the Overdogs exotic gloves then Chainkiller vest, 2 x Hotshot, Fox's prayer and an Airaldi with Vigilance is an easy to put together good-enough all purpose sniper build.
Instead of Fox's prayer + Airaldi you could go with 2 x Habsburg guard.

If you don't have Overdogs, then I suggest using Sawyer's kneepads. The stagger protection from explosions is very helpful.
Tinkerer also works if your other sniper rifle has a talent like Soft Spot or Lucky Shot. Personally I use Soft Spot as that helps with those enemy types that has weakpoints that uses up your Determined shot (like those True Sons heay gunners and those hyena rushers with helmets)

@desert furnace Legacy Caches just contain loot from previous Season Passes, not including exotics.
So they are an incredibly large pool of random stuff, going all the way back to 2020.

Optimisation ones that contain the stuff you normally buy from SHD watches are not a bad idea either, and they're 12 stars vs 20.

exotic caches is probably the way to go to net yourself some extra components you'll need for expertising purposes. 13-30 i think was something of 90 exotic components per item

generally speaking yes, you can craft improvised gloves/knees/holster which come with a mod slot instead of a brand bonus, and the chill-out mask has two mod slots, but in practice the only mod which you may want more than 3 of is protection from elites

maxed roll mods are quite rare, increasing difficulty increases the minimum possible roll (and thus the average rolls) but there's no shortcut to getting maxed ones, they'll just come in time

You basically want a weapon with 3 out of 4 things you want

Yes, the first two stats on any weapon are fixed (eg ARs always have AR damage and Damage to Health) while the third stat and the talent are variable. Ideally you want one with dttoc already, since that's the best third stat in 99% of cases, then you can swap the talent around.

For lmgs the best third stat is usually crit chance since they already have dttoc on the second stat

I was wondering what you guys think about the new gear system...

Assuming they keep the current drop rate for prototype items in escaliation, I'm afraid this will create a big gap between veteran players and newcomers (or even simply casual players).
It’s a lifetime grind to go through : getting to level 40, getting the SHD level 1000, and then getting to 30 expetise level while / then getting your builds to max roll (or ptimise em) and picking them up to 30 expetise (and this is for each item) ...

When I say big gap, I'm not only talking about DZ, I'm also talking about basic PVE gameplay. It’s always good to see the stats at the end of a group mission showing those who did the most kills for example... I think players equiped with prototype gears will have way better stats at the end of a mission mathematically as they will deal more damage / have more survivability etc. And that might be frustrating for some players to see the gap... even though prototype gear is basically intended for veteran players to give em more challenge
