It's kind of funny that we are so far in the game that we already have the builds we want, so we really don't need to see what we're getting or we go into our inventory to see what we got. If you're not familiar, you can open them faster than default if you're on PC/MnK (maybe there's a trick on controller but no idea). If you place your cursor on the cache at the very top, then just continually spam left click + space over and over, it will skip the opening animation. But any cache that rewards a bonus item will make you wait still.

Should list them: open, friends and clan, invite only, private. Anything other than open should stop random people from finding you without matchmaking

Okay I see the confusion.
So, levelling an item's Proficiency doesn't increase its stats at all, it just is a way so you can get to that stage later on.

Every item in the game has 10 ranks of "proficiency", and when you get that to Rank 10, you can start to add Expertise Levels to it.
Don't bother with adding it to most items though, it's a very deep endgame system, and a very expensive one at that.

You all gud, you might wanna consider learning how to mule and using your salvage points to buy printer filament to level up the rest of your items. Muling with someone who helps to carry you can take 30-45 minutes and solo it's like 2 hours with DZ land marks. I'd find a friend to trade with and do 1-3 a week cause at your level it should net you a full expertise level each mule pretty much.

tl;dr Challenging should be your minimum, and maybe give Countdown (CD) a go, you can pick your own TL (targeted loot), and it scales up weirdly high w/Challenging.

Most of the time it's fine but that bug has been around for years unfortunately. I've seen people say that the devs have said it can not be fixed lol. ||I'm no expert, as I've been catching back up over the last 2 months or so myself, but from what I gather, Black Tusk is essentially used by Natalya Sokolova (she's the CEO after all) to attempt to reform/take control of the government under her/cabal's rule. She is part of a group called "The Cabal" which sounds like a New World Order/shadow government kind of thing, who basically just want to rule the world I guess. Hunters are basically a failsafe vs Division agents, in case Division agents went rogue, which some did, Hunters can be sent in to clean up the mess, as they have better tech and training. Hunters are under the command of Calvin McManus, who wants to get into the Cabal, but according to Keener "lacks the money and legacy," so will always just be an associate of Natalaya's. Keener and Theo etc. found all this out and so are trying to oppose it basically, hence whey Keener is apparently the "good guy" now. And yes, it definitely looks like we'll be working with him and his "team" in some capacity for the events of the Brooklyn DLC. I do think it needs to be said that Keener now being a good guy is a bit of a retcon and not consistent writing. It seems pretty clear that Keener in Div1 and in WONY was 100% an antagonist, but now they've sort of tried to say "oh, accctually he did those things for this reason etc. etc." Hope all that makes sense 🤣 ||

Strained, measured and optimist are all good these days.
I haven't seen anyone mathing them out precisely but I suspect the ranking varies depending exactly how much weapon damage, crit chance/damage and twd your build already has. They're going to be pretty close regardless though.

Personally I go with optimist since you don't lose the benefit if you stop firing, so it has more uptime, and I don't like the 'feel' of measured rof changes

All of them are less effective for compulsive reloaders though, which irks me

when weapon reaches 10 proficiency (using, donating copies, donating mats) you can upgrade it

how many times you can upgrade it depends on the expertise level

expertise goes up the more items have proficiency

expertise upgrade its stats and slowly ramps up on mats you need and starts adding more rare materials like exotic components and SHD recon and so on

@cursive linden Nope! Supply drops are a little parachute icon, they're green, so you have to at least partially clear out an area to get them to spawn in.
Personal recommendation: near New Venice CP, just by the FEB Mission, there's a park that spawns them in.
@wispy merlin It's worth doing the Master version, even if you're only going to run it once. Since it gets you the Provocator chest too.

The trick is to farm out enough base SHD so it's worth doing in the first place. Usually a thousand or two.
