I main a striker build now and just spam insta kits and pop medkits all the time. Comfortably 1 v 7 but anymore is a struggle.

Yeah my build does not have Regen on it 🤣 once I get tenacity rolling I can do just fine in a 1v4 using movement but once tenacity is over my 1.6m armor feels like nothing

You're right on that. I've only ever used strikers twice or so in pvp and found I wasn't a fan of it (assuming you're gonna be at 0 stacks and have to fight)

At max stacks it's a monster

I made the swap to armor hunters fury and found that it worked better for me

Perfect week to start the Nemesis project, or get that blueprint you been waiting for.

After you get the tidal basin piece , change mode for Manning back to invaded and complete again for another piece. with 2 pieces in hand set GWH back to invaded and the blueprint will drop. Nemesis can be farmed from MMR TL after that regardless of project completion.

Most people assume you mean PVE, the responses in here are quite misleading and misinterpreted on a whole 👍🏻

You need to remember when playing the set that AOK is applied for finishes and for killing skills. If you’re playing on a team and you finish someone on the floor, you will receive the armour on kill. Same is true for killing skills. Your medkit also gives you 20% armour back as well as the bonus armour, so be sure to get finishes and skills when popping a blue. 🫡 only pop blues on the set when you’re at 50% health, otherwise you lose your advantage at the beginning of the fight and it’s time restricted too.

I use system corruption with Eagle Bearer. I'm finally starting to get used to it but if you can't consistently hit your shots, you're going to have a hell of a time fighting many at once without tenacity

The best way to get SC is thru conflict/dark zone caches or legacy caches during global events.

Better off doing legacy caches because DZ/conflict caches have a very rare chance to drop a piece of SC gear

It's fine that it's PvP locked. If you want to use it you're going to be using it for PvP only anyway.

Sleeping giant and sinkhole both right next to safehouses.
Sleeping giant is my personal goto since its outcasts and little to no helmets jacking up a determined proc.
Heroic 4d is a full shd.
1 -Clear cp,
2- reset control points in map,
3- refer to step 1

^^ yet people say doing executions is the fastest method for leveling 🤣 sure you clear quicker but you don't get rewarded nearly as much. Deck is right, run a 1 shot build and do 4 directive control points near safehouses. Clear enemies, next wave will come so clear those, call backup, clear the next few waves, done. Wash rinse repeat 🔁

I went from SHD 720 to 1000 in about a day and a half doing this method. When the reanimated event hits, 1 shot builds are crucial because headshot kills drop a toxic cloud of smoke to enemies. Stack up enemies in 1 area, you basically got an "oxi" spawn trap

I’m a solo player SHD 160-ish. Have put together a decent but not perfect build. Am I missing anything but not going in to the DZ? I don’t see too many positive comments about it but even if I “generally avoid it”, is there anything I am missing by NEVER going near it? Any simple, check in type rewards that I should at least poke my head in once a week for?

TLDR Hopefully my question makes sense. I’m not looking to become a DZ player but am I missing something by avoiding it altogether?

the tl;dr is that Proficiency is what you gain passively from having items equipped, or donating copies of them/resources in their place.
Once an items Proficiency is at Rank 10, you can add Expertise to a single item, and that will modify the stats.

Weapons/armour/spec weapons are all locked to that specific item, Skills are account-wide.

Correct, although with guns it's just adding a tiny bit of extra damage.

A good order to look at loot for a while is this:
Pick up loot: Keep if needed > Donate to Library > Donate to Proficiency > Junk > Sell.

named items and weapons are 20 donated items each
gear and brand sets are 100 donated items each.
your overall expertise level is essentially how many upgrades you can add to a specific item.

note that expertise upgrades added are for that specific weapon/gear only. i wouldnt add any upgrades to an item unless it was something i main a lot. i would also not expertise upgrade any weapon unless you have a talent that can be rolled, this will safe you from having a weapon become bad because of a change to the way the talent works.
luckily, skill upgrades are account wide.

dont upgrade gear items unless you are overflowing with mats and dont have any more proficiency to work on.

Are you doing the invaded or non invaded mission? Basilisk is the Outcast heavy boss in the non invaded mission, just after blowing up the gate with C4

The miniguns are also in the non invaded mission, when you have to blow up the fuel tanks.

Pretty much, I would hit up the weekly invaded missions as they give 5 points each. Otherwise you'll get them all with time but I would suggest maxing one and moving on to the next as you want them all done.

Also, just to clarify, you do need to have the specialization equipped to get points for it. Some bounties can give spec points as well. Just look at the rewards for clearing the bounty.

If you want to continue farming the the specializatoin points after doing the invaded, do CPs. Only daily/clan bounties give Spec points IIRC

Just basically keep an eye out for any activity which lists your currently equipped Spec Tree icon and a number, that's how many you get.
after all that is done, each time you rank up a SHD level will award you too.

at your current level, for direct printer filament leveling, its 9 items proficient per run. itll probably take 2 runs, possibly into a 3rd run.
if you use scavenging as cash, and buy up skill mods it'll be 11 items per run.

Yeah you can shoot and swap weapons and watch the ammo correspond but I'm pretty sure when you get special ammo types it'll display the amount you have and not the currently loaded ammo.

Throughout DC there are secret messages written on walls of buildings etc. These messages were deciphered early on by some people and the hunter locations were discovered. The locations of the hunters and steps to initiate combat were shared with the community but not many people shared HOW they figured it out exactly. Once you hit Lvl 40 (aka: once you start the WONY DLC) then every single piece of loot you get before that is useless, the only thing you should keep are the Exotics, and that's just to convert them to Lvl 40.

keep grinding xp, and youll build up shd level. the fastest xp atm is running heroic control points with directives you can manage. if you can use 4 directives , heroic control points will give you an shd every takeover. you can also reset cp and grind the same one if its close to a safe house. sleeping giant and sinkhols are both close to safehouses and work well for this purpose.
