it's more about the long term, 5 minute, buffs. 3% armor regen, an extra 30% all weapon damage and 30% skill efficiency. It's useful in a lot of different builds, not to mention the extra core attributes it has. Keep in mind it's not always the best choice, and some people like it way to much. The short term buffs are very strong for builds like Hunter's Fury where you're already playing up close

expertise is a system that gives small incremental upgrades for gear. weapons get a little bit more damage, armor gets a bit more armor, and skills get wierd upgrades

the Ninjabike bag and Memento bag exotics both have a yellow, blue, and red core. No other backpack can do that. Memento is generally better than the ninjabike bag.

High end items (yellow) have a main core and 2 attribute slots, and gearsets (teal/green-ish) have a main core and one attribute.

Masks, chestpieces, and backpacks all can be given mods, which are another "attribute" and shown in that screen as a nother attribute. Gloves, holsters, and kneepads all can get mod slots by sacrificing the brand bonus and using improvised gear, which is crafted gear.

BTW, did you guys notice the latest update's magazine bug (when not in safe zones)? If you chamber a round or have additional rounds over default (ie. Rock n' Roll has +10 shells), then swap out of and back into said weapon, it will DELETE said rounds. So hypothetically, if you reload and swap your Rock n' Roll 17 times, you will deplete ALL your shells without firing once. Given that a number of talents and even builds are predicated on swapping or otherwise building stacks, it's quite aggravating.

It's a matter of time, then. The more people that get one, the more likely they will share it with those who don't on each weekly reset. Farm the first half of the week. That's when most people [esp. those that already have the Ouro] use their weekly key.

It was the same strategy I advised people to apply for the EB.

Eventually, everyone has the exotic, and your chances are multiplied by the number of group members.

Nope, nothing like that. Exotics are just unlikely to drop at all, and the reason people suggest Countdown is a quantity:quality kinda thing. Plus the free exotic caches every 2-3 runs.

if you want to go for quality:quantity, Directives are what you're looking for. Each one added on slightly increases the chance that an enemy drops TL. And also xp.

Just got back into this game after a year or so away. Started a new character and did warlords of New York. Got decent gear for a MMR build. What are some tips for getting my world level to challenging or heroic? Do I just bump up to that right away or should I go through lower difficulties until I have max stats on gear? Ive been doing old manhunts to catch up on story and can one shot all enemies except the rogue agent bosses. I did a few story missions to farm gear and was able to get those done on hard difficulty with few problems.

wt5 is an organic requirement but you can bypass it by using a character boost (included with the expansion), but using a boost isn't something you can just do accidentally in-game either

so yeah no need to worry, go have fun and do what you need to do first

I'd suggest getting a D50 with determined and using a punk drunk or chainkiller and mix up your build. The event has 300% headshot damage and determined allows you to get the talent and shoot people anywhere for a headshot. If you break a helmet then just pop someone in the face and off to the races again.

This event is CRAZY easy to get proficiency on items or skills as you don't really need them, you can also level quickly too.

GE+D50 determined+chainkiller(almost anything HSD related) pick a CP where you can kill everyone out a door close by and all out of the defending wave, my go to is navy plaza, the trick with that CP is to not call reinforcements until you are done clearing, head south and call it on the edge and they will all spawn out of two manholes that are like 15 feet apart. Reset CPs on the map and go again and again. Can probably do that in under two minutes with this GE and reset/travel time sub 3 pretty easy.

You can't actually "reclibrate" them, you need to reconfigure them via the Crafting Table, which randomises the % of the first two stats, and randomises the 3rd stat entirely.
