Hi guys. I'm a fresh 40 on Xbox and i am just going through at the moment and filling out my recalibration library and trying to gather blueprints. I have a skill build in mind i plan on using but my question is difficulty progression. Should i be farming these pieces to construct the build on normal or up the difficulty?

the tl;dr for Difficulty in div2 is "high as you can go until you can play on Challenging", but even that's gonna be tough for a newer player.
basically, just start working on a build ASAP and as you make it, you can start to take on the harder stuff.

(the reason for Challenging being your new low benchmark is that it only lets high-end (gold), Exotic, and Gearset loot from Enemies loot drops.

Proc = "like you triggered a special effect" kinda thing.

ie like if the target has Tag team mark on them, and you shoot them for the cooldown, then you "proc'd" the effect.

Fairly common. They replace an encounter so it can be quite a lot quicker than the normal, and one will always have a Named Item, so win-win.

did some further testing with my alt - the level: 1 thing goes away as soon as you talk to Kelso the first time (regarding the season manhunt) and doesn't seem reappear at later stages of the manhunt. It doesn't seem to serve any useful purpose at all, really.

Those are dz exclusive iirc ,You'll have to farm named caches or goto dz. They won't drop in open world, summit , or countdown

dz target loot is broken at the moment so your best chance (although it's still not good) is probably from named caches - purchaseable with countdown tokens.

no, it's still a backup call so you'll still be able to earn 2 endorsements from it. IIRC shouldn't be any different than a normal backup call tho I do think the scaling changes obv, and not sure if they're stuck with the scaling once you leave (until they relog)

if you DONT get 3 kills once the buff procs, then you take all the damage that was prevented instead (high chance to kill you after)

there's an EMP sticky yeah, to get it you have to run the manhunt version of Roosevelt (unlock it first by reaching the requisite season level, then 'toggle mission mode' on Roosevelt settings to select it)

old manhunts become available one by one there.

if you already have 100, then you have access to them all, just gotta travel to the mission and select the right mission mode at the floating overlay.

there are like, erm, 4 manhunts total, or thereabout, each with its' own skill.

emp sticky is by far the most useful of those, however, so try to get it soon-ish.

half of localdecks' list is craft-only, you won't just randomly get those, so no need to worry about it.

to add to that list, two masks, coyote and vile, are very valuable.

generally, just forget about optimisation until you've got an almost-perfect piece that only needs a tiny bit, it's just too expensive to use in most cases. Having the right brand/gearset bonuses, right attributes & talents makes much more difference than having those attributes at max rolls. That said, most of the optimisation materials can be crafted

Was playing with my friends yesterday, both of them had it drop. As far as I know, this update seems to be either rushed or a huge coding error has occured. The Perfect Spotter chest piece is broken so it only has 1 attribute, like a gear piece. Certain weapons have the wrong core damage, such as the kingbreaker, police M4 and the FAMAS which is really a pain for PVP now. And still, some Uzina and Heartbreaker pieces STILL have not got the right textures so the customization for them is still wonky.

TLDR: you level up your gear to get proficiency ranks. Proficiency ranks unlock and allow boosting expertise on gear (expertise = stat boost). Its poorly balanced atm and only weapons are worth boosting their stats atm though. Also very expensive system.

to add to the good previous answer, at times it may seem like you have enough of those, and there's no need to get more. nothing could be further from the truth. especially now that the amount caps are raised.

farm all the field recon and shd cal you can get. do the projects, run countdown, whatever you feel like doing, but know that for all the hundreds you'll acumulate, those will all run out in a flash, once you get to optimizing.

That’s likely because they’re using dps builds which are meta. They also probably have high expertise and shd level which is planned to be fixed in non invaded dzs. But to actually compete you need a good build. Even though dps builds are everywhere, being a tank is sometimes a good bet

hi! i want to start playing TD2 again and i wanted to know how much has changed since i left the game. i left right after The Summit released because the lack of new, meaningful content and the repetitiveness of the seasonal content.

since then, how much new content has been released? any new zones or maps? and what about the seasonal content? it's still "capture the whole map again"?
is there cross-save? i used to play on PS4 but now i'm almost always playing on PC and i have all the dlcs/expansions on both platforms. if it's still not a feature, how much time do i need to regrind everything to get to the point where i'm able to do all the new content? 100 hours?

and what about the exclusives abilities from the seasonal manhunts? am i unable to get them unless i wait something like 1 or 2 years or is there a way to get them via missions/quests?
and lastly, do i need to buy other seasons or is everything included with the WONY season pass?

1. new stuff - no groundbreaking changes, you just run around do whatever you like. there's a new 8-ppl mode, countdown. also, last season manhunt was story-rich, people liked it. as of this week it's ended, and new one has started, to be unveiled bit by bit over the coming months.
2. dunno for sure, but don't think any crossness is in place, those are separate accounts. you'd need a few hours to complete wony via the boosted character, then you'd need to assemble a couple of builds, which might take a while. but bulk item farming is made much easier now thanks to countdown, it drops tons of stuff.
3. first 100 levels after you complete wony are current season progression. it drops new exotics and stuff, and as you complete it, final missions of previous manhunts become available, with their exclusive rewards (unlocking special skills, mostly).

if you were bored of the game then, chances are, it'd be pretty much the same again. the game's not exactly dead, but the phase of rapid content delivery is way past it.

Hi, idk if this is the right channel to ask this, but I haven't played TD2 since like November 2020, I am wondering what would be the optimal difficulty for me to run to start collecting some pieces. I can clear out level 4 checkpoints on Heroic, but I feel like it can take a while to chew through enemy armor- would it be better to drop down to Challenging to farm it faster or are Heroic drops much better than Challenging?
