then just run countdown or retaliations to obtain it as a drop

I was kinda expecting manhunts to be like WONY, but I found out all the legacy manhunts limited you to the last mission and I was like "so we skipping the other targets now?"
But then I did the mutiny manhunt and then found out that the other targets are just bounties and yes, there's only that one mission

and for the record: all the off-site missions are before WONY too, with Manhunts being both before and after BfB.

and I kinda hate it

you just find a populated DZ server, squad up, and death ball the whole thing
and since the DZ is so small, you can easily just roll over whoever is wandering around

the game even encourages this mentality with the action to go rogue
anyone seen in the animation gets hard-targeted by whoever is around them, so it's best to have a bunch of people ready to start unloading on everyone

if 4 people are doing the rogue animation, the 2-3 other people who were clearing the landmark won't have a good target to start with

I think the best way to handle rogue status would be to get rid of the animation completely and have "friendly fire" on at all times unless you're in a dedicated squad/team (team size being as big as the possible DZ lobby, in case people just want to have a friendly DZ farming run). If you want to leave a team you have to exit the DZ and leave the server completely so there's no double-crossing.

That's what made me quit the DZ for a while
it just became a game of "peeker's advantage"
get the other person to go rogue first so you can have the first shots in the gunfight

it was definitely a problem having people walk in front of bullets in the TD1 launch DZ, but I think adopting the same kind of PvP that newer extraction shooters have would be good. You wouldn't just put bullets in that do 0 damage, you just take damage and if you die, it gives a rogue marker to whoever killed you

if you don't want to accidentally kill possible allies, then just be careful where you're shooting lmao

The Division basically pioneered the genre, so the franchise lived or died by how the game played
if people didn't like the DZ, but it was required to get the best gear, then the game could have died and we wouldn't be here today

I think they're definitely fine-tuning the chase experience
it's why I've been playing on Heroic rather than the easier difficulties, it's far easier to get max stat roll gear on Heroic, even if I can get virtually the same stuff from Normal or Hard

the best way to incentivize the DZ would be to make the endgame accessible to all players without it, but the stuff you get in the DZ makes it much easier to run endgame content.

The most important thing about increasing difficulty, is to remember that Challenging and up only lets gold/gearset/exotic items drop, the other colours get filtered out.

It's why we suggest to players that they should make the push to Challenging sooner rather than later.

hardest difficulty gives the best chance at getting High End/Gear Sets, but still with drops down to Worn, but the DZ is High End/Gear Set exclusively

Unicorn pestilence is also what most people run, it got really popular (not as much as Striker of course)
