These days, the only solid advice is learn game sense because even using the typical "abuse cover mechanics" and whatever other nonsense isn't the only way to play anymore. And I'd say that's a direct result from all the different builds we have today. Even early on, using cover in this "cover-based shooter" doesn't ever really strictly apply much anymore except in specific situations.

generally, if you already have red cores, the crit chance/damage will be stronger to add. be mindful that you want your critchance to be between 50-60%. 60% is the cap for chance so cant go over. your crit chance needs to be right if you want your crit damage to be effective

I disagree a bit, I mean, having a mysterious enemy that is powerful is cool at some point. But spending big time on a franchise without explaining this enemy, it's origins, motivations and such, they start losing the spotlight you know. Like: imagine finishing the mass effect trilogy and barely knowing about the Reapers, or watching all avengers movie and not knowing anything about Thanos.

I think I can forgive the comestics aspect because: players want to look cool, and devs still need money to run the server of a live service game regardless.

I think Division 2 Conflict PvP needs to have a Hardcore mode or Realism Mode, wherein if you shot a player in the head they die instantly instead of getting revived. Movement speed is also normalized, damage multiplier is based upon on guns. The drop chance is the same. It's 1 in however many named items exist, which I'm sure there's over 100 by now. So even if we assume that to be 1 in 100 just to use even numbers, that's basically a 1% chance per drop, since the hounds only drop 1 seasonal named + 1 regular named.

Just to give an example mind you. I don't know how many named items there actually are.

You can basically have more "tries" by having more people in your group since each individual essentially multiplies your loot drops by a factor of 1 up to 4, instead of only 1 (which is just you). But it's still the same x% drop chance per player there.

Good luck getting 4 people together who are willing to farm the Bounty with you for however long it might take. That's all I can say.

div 1 compared to div 2 is uh... div 1 has a better atmosphere, has a unified DZ and probably some other small things. but going from div 2 to 1 will immediately have you run up against a bunch of growing pains
also div 1 endgame is anemic compared to div 2, you get to enjoy like 4(?) incursions, an endless wave mode, and that's about it in terms of additional difficult content

it's more likely that it's going to be a passing curiosity

if you buy the definitive version, you get to play survival (oh and the endless gamemode is a dlc too) and underground, which does provide some more replayability and endless streams of people on youtube glazing survival, but the endgame is still very anemic despite that
