You'll have to deal with Gear Score if you don't plan to get Warlords of New York.
Once you start WONY, you'll be stuck in lower Manhattan until you complete the DLC. The level cap gets raised to 40, and from the point onward all gear drops at Lv. 40. No gearscores whatsoever.

24% weapon damage, plus 24% status effects, at max stacks 25% bonus armor and 20% reload speed that's not affected by the stacks. just a flat out percent per kill while the enemy is under status effect

Is d2 usually easier than d1? I’ve just begun and completed my first story mission and I seemed to one shot/ 2 shot enemies with my base sniper. I’ve also started accumulating green loot already, whereas in division 1, I remember replaying the first island’s final level like 6 times because I kept dying and enemies wouldn’t die easy. And got my green loot maybe 3-4 missions into the game.

I mean... that mission wasn't particularly difficult, no. Legendary is the highest difficulty there is, and I'd say it's about as hard if not a tiny bit harder than Div 2's Legendary missions.

I would honestly argue that Division 1 is a heck of a lot easier for the most part. You don't have things like explosive spam or anything like that in Div 1. It was just shoot without getting shot at.

The bonuses where nice, yes. But not really. People already had some pretty solid builds to tackle Legendary before classifieds were a thing.
Classifieds were just the final nail in the coffin that turned Legendary into Heroic and Heroic into challenging.

For example, even with 4p Reclaimer, that was all you really needed if you had like 9K electronics.

If I get delta'd frequently it helps most of the times, in general. Tuesdays, as mentioned, Steam maintenance and you should try to reconnect to Steam. Resetting everything once in a while is always a good idea.

Discovery, easier and without exotic reward chances and the normal difficulty with exo reward chances

Right, but the point I'm making is that NPC scaling is pretty low in Div 1.

They definitely go down really easy.

If you really, really want to make a direct comparison, truthfully both games are pretty well balanced in their own contexts.

You can make a case for when certain parts are harder or easier in either game, comparatively. But they're both about the same, I'd say.

You can just about solo any content that doesn't strictly require multiple people to complete, in Div 1.

Like... you can't do Dragon's Nest solo because it hard requires multiple people push buttons simultaneously.

Or Stolen Signal, because you need to defend three hostages in quick succession.

Clear Sky is doable solo, it's just the infinite ads spawning needs to be managed carefully.

The point I'm making is, depending on the context you could say D1 is easier than D2, if your criteria is "can I fully solo this game?" Which for D1, you pretty much can, even on the hardest difficulty setting.

Zashk, the problem with Summit, especially on Legendary, is that it's so slow compared to a lower difficulty or Countdown.
The amount of drops in a single Countdown match is like the equivalent of more than 15 floors of Summit. You're easily getting between 40-60 loot drops in Countdown.
Just the sheer amount of drops alone is already heavily tipping the scales in your favor. And if brainless is what you want, Countdown is as brainless as it gets. You just turn off your brain and go autopilot, following whoever is leading.

If you don't like CD, then I'm sorry to hear that, but that's the facts right there.

Summit is inherently slower paced.

And playing on a higher difficulty does you no favors.

Jello, if you want a good DPS build that gives upfront DMG without any extra mechs or anything. The standard red DPS build is just Coyote with 3P Providence + Fox Kneepads + Ceska/Grupo piece. Glass Cannon + Vigilance.
This is literally the best upfront DMG for as little trade-off as possible.

GCRock server is kinda only for the raids. You can easily find people to do any content in the game. Just matchmake, call for backup or use the world chat and there is almost always people up for helping.

don't worry about the DLCs, you have many hours ahead just by playing the base game. If you can't get enough, get the DLCs after. Survival mode is a separate mode from your main character, like a rogue mode where you always start from scratch without anything, and with added mechanics like disease and cold.

It will switch between the two when one is active. I use both without issue.
Make sure your KB/Mouse are not active during controller use. Turn off any fancy addons to them, rgb, macros, etc.
One thing this game does well is Controller support with great transition between the two input methods

Could try verify game files but I doubt that'd help. Did you try restarting your internet hardware? Guessing you're on fiber?

like i said, make sure your isp connectiong doesn't have wifi on it and enabled. in case you live in a close place like apartments, where someone can be on your wifi watching minecraft youtube vidoes 😹

Try resetting modem/router then

Restart PC on top, wait 'till internet is back and try again

for me it's almost like it's standard you pay an ISP for interent they send you hardware that has Wifi on it. they probably have it enabled but no password set for it or some easy password to use it like 12345 or password

That means the server you were on was restarting. Reconnect and you'll get thrown into another server
