There is a lot of strategy to Descent. It tests your knowledge of the game by asking you to put a build together on the fly. The strategy is in how you choose and combine the various upgrades you have available to tackle the higher loops. There is a specific channel for it also which would help more.

This whole debate is invalidated by FF XIV. The raids there are more complex than anything in a looter-shooter and they've had MM for them since forever now. People who want that can queue for it and people that want premade can just do that.

Actually your absolute best bet for the pyro build is the Everlasting Gaze rifle: "Headshots grant +75% status effect damage and duration to the next status effect you apply". It's a monster. Thing is, you have to land that headshot first...

Problem is I like running merciless for somewhat decent yellow bar damage, but they’re both rifles and drain ammo like crazy

my guess is they do it on purpose to prevent you from playing story missions on heroic and get carried for insane amount of XP and level up in like 3 runs. That's why inviting people into Lincoln Memorial or invaded DCD and running it on heroic and inviting a super low level person leveled them up in like 30 mins to 40. So they changed that as well so now it scales XP per your level.

I think sometimes when you open the last big chest, when Hunters already spawned, because people running right to the extraction.
And the other thing is probably a bug, because it can happen in the open world, too and it happened at some point of the game updates.
You can test it yourself by playing in a group and split up meaning fighting at two different locations far away from each other. First you'll get some desync enemies and at some point someone in the group gets a DELTA and gets disconnected.

This is really a thing to watch out on hardcore, because it can cost your life and it can happen in Countdown, too., when people feel the need to fight on different objectives.

There is an chance your client and the client of others will crash when opening the final box in Turbine, Lab & Reactor. This has been around for about 2 years now at least and I wouldn't expect a fix, best not to open them, and to run away as far from that box as possible when playing with randoms in matchmaking. You can open the box in Cooling, Admin, and Containment just fine without any worries about crashing.

Don't ask me why this happens, it just does... One of the lovely quirks of the Division 2.

My theory is that it happens due to group loot feed coming to your chat (it does it even if it's turned off). Loot for some reason is displayed in a language of player getting it, and there likely are specific languages that cause the crash on specific items/event (notice how it's usually one sub group that goes red, and as a coincidence loot feed goes only to your sub group).

If I join countdown and see chinese/other asian nicknames, I immediately leave. And as a result almost no crashes.

It's important to note, that once you get the SHD Watch at Lvl 40, you also start to get extra default CHC and CHD.
10% (chance) and 20% (damage) respectively, at their max ranks.
Which is why for most builds, you want all CHC mods on your gun, except for the biggest mag size possible (+20), and then you won't need much extra.

at higher levels you'll have had more time to get the rarer pieces needed for various builds, though SHD level is not a guarantee of anything. you can play the game for hundreds of hours and still be bad, or be a power gamer with a competent build as soon as you're able to get one

it's really just more a measure of time spent playing the game. you can easily gain 3-4 SHD levels in one session, but between bonus XP events and the occasional exploit that could boost your level by ridiculous amounts, overall it's a pretty meaningless metric

if you really want to get an idea of whether a player is competent, it's generally pretty easy to take a quick glance at their build to see if there are any red flags, like wearing more or less than 4 pieces of a gear set, or weird brand set synergies

Unfortunately that is what makes Nemesis one of the most grindy thing. After the strongholds, in the end you also need to wait for the Grand Washington Hotel to beome invaded.

If you need it quick, you can try grouping up with people who have done it, and have the Nemesis in their loot pool. Either do Countdown or (lower effort) the weekly SHD project.

Control points and similar activities don't give anything like the chunk of season xp that strongholds do especially with priority objectives

season xp has no relation with normal shd xp, so no control points r very slow for season xp
