IMO just stick to challenging unless you're trying to really push yourself, but at 131 there's a good chance that a host will kick you based on SHD level alone

Ideally for Countdown, you want to go in with basically an empty inventory anyway, since you're going to be colecting between 30 and 50 pieces on average.

(obligatory: make sure you're running Challenging Countdown, it's the most populated and best overall).

Does dttooc proc on targets you stagger from cover? I don't understand why it's the most widely recommended attribute, I feel like I'm shooting a lot of targets in cover

Aside from foxes prayers, dttooc can only be obtained on your gun and it's its own multiplier

One thing about dtooc that doesn't get mentioned a lot is that it's most useful once you start to learn the spawns, and don't wait for enemies to go and hide 5 miles apart.

As naval said, it's its own multiplier, and it has very few sources so it's better.
CHC hard caps at 60%, and CHD you can easily get "enough" of via your gear Attributes+mods.

As a general rule, each damage type is it's own 'bucket' which is additive within the bucket and multiplicative with the other buckets. The more you put in a bucket, the less overall value you get from further increases. Crit can be filled very high due to all the possible rolls you get from gear, talents, etc. Dtooc has only a few sources so can't get very high.

Then there's the fact that enemies out of cover are more likely to be an immediate threat than enemies in cover, plus heavies and warhounds are always out of cover.

some (more expensive) versions of the 'pay extra' season pass give 20 level skips, and I think all versions give an extra 10% season xp on everything

oh, and the lvl boost for an existing character can be found in the add-ons section of the ingame shop (but is free to use if you own brooklyn). It's likely auto-applied if you just head straight to brooklyn, too.

there's a season xp multiplier next week iirc, so that'll be an easy time to farm up all 100 levels - just focus on manhunt scout tasks and the season journey, plus priority objectives if you need extra

In general, skill builds (unless it's healer) aren't really used for high tier content. They just don't put out enough damage.

All red DPS Crit damage strikers build is the one most will lean you to.

Yeah it's one of the oldest bugs in the game, it's been broken ever since directives came out. It can happen regardless if you are host or not. Temporary fix is to die and get resurrected (or travel back to safe zone if it's possible). But it will glitch soon again anyway.

for those I ran a striker build with decoy as second skill. Recruiter isn't that hard, you just have to wipe his armor 3 times (I think, whatever the number is).
Basically same as the Stovepipe mission; run an armor on kill striker with decoy skill.

if you are new to the game though, I highly suggest you finish 1-40.. some of the side missions are really interesting and you will get to know the main missions at a starter level so when you play them later you will have more expeirence. The campaign is nice! And you get to experience first time invasion and stuff

just have fun, don't think about progressing too much.. finish main missions, spicy it up with side missions, do a bit of open world in between and just see how the armor sets are dropping and how you are making the builds. You won't need to get attached to any specific gear or skill until 40 but it is the time to figure out how the builds are made, how skills work and which ones you like etc etc.

I found out by accident. Was running it with randoms, needed ammo so went to the tennis court as it was closest, then noticed that 90% of the time Recruiter and the other npcs don't go there. Also one person can camp in the house once the fight starts, so you could have a future initiative build in there to help with team dps. Though I don't know if that got patched.

My regulas gunslinger white death chain killer build steamrolls ammohoarder and pistoliro. Directives can be countered with builds or a counter to builds. It might only infuriating because you are trying to fit a big circle in the a small square hole.

It's like trying to run reviver hive and shield with cool skills. It just won't work.

However, the Fragile Armour directive bug is something I do find terribly infuriating.

I never matchmake people into my open world farm because I always have every directive on with heroic haha.

I suggest to everyone however, to have fog of war on at least. I personally find it to be no big deal. I've had it as a default directive for so long that I actually edited my UI and removed the minimap

Highly unlikely it will happen as it was designed in this way from start and now with a fairly decent userbase on every platform, it's just inviting issues and big problems. I'm pretty sure if they are full steam on Div 3, they are designing it with full cross play in mind and account/platform management and network interoperabililty.

It’s longer, around 3–4 years ago. But I think you still need to interact with the console that is outside. The pool of mods is so big that it almost works against you .

My HC character is SHD 3,357 and I’ve only seen two max crit hit chance mods and I lost both of those lol.

It can take thousands of hours to get even 1 maxed out mod, luckily they're fairly pointless overall, and you only really need about 80-90% of the way there to work for the endgame builds.

Not sure what you mean precisely. Most high-end gears have two attributes, and a mod slot if it is a mask, chest piece, or backpack. Some of the named gears like the Motherly Love will have 3 attributes due to named attribute slots. The Chill Out has one attribute and two mod slots. The improvised always have one mod slot (even holster, glove, knee pad).

they're not really dual attributes. that's just a gear mod that has the same buff as the attribute on the piece

If you mean two attributes of the same type, aside from mods sometimes having the same category as the attributes, there is in particular the Emperor’s Guard that can have a 1% Armor Regen and if you are lucky, a numbered (fixed amount) Armor Regen (since the game regard them as different attributes).

For all other pieces, if you try to recalibrate a slot, the game prevents you from having two slots being the same. This includes in particular the Punch Drunk (you are not allowed to have another, non-named percentage Headshot Damage beside the named 20% slot).

JTC is best farmed for Coyotes if you follow this guide:

Do it on Challenging/Heroic, add a bunch of Directives, and do it when the Targeted Loot is set to Masks, for bonus chances.
Because normally, only the final boss can drop it.
