Ruthless you get from cashgrab edition normally works like a key to blueprints and can't even be scrapped. What you normally do, is farm merciles and then craft ruthless from it.

I'm puzzled by the hollywood global event.. I stacked up explosive damage to like 40% with grupo and china, running glass cannon, doing sharpshooter to clap them from distance as grouped, I run ravenous and it feels like explosions are not any stronger. Cause the event is not as fun as I thought it would be unlike reanimated which was far more enjoyable. When they are all reds, it's fine but on heroic that's so rare. Anyone willing to illuminate me on how to amplify these explosions? Tip of the spear? I kind of don't think this will increase the explosions themselves no?

I guess I should clarify.. I get tons of explosions.. the problem is they just don't feel strong enough.. I can run a scuffed build with just signature weapon from sharpshooter and the fully decked out build above for explosive damage and the outcome of explosions is the same.

cause when i group them and there are elites with armor, it barely takes 1/3rd of their armor even if there are like 5 others guys around them. I guess it's designed with cap in mind for the explosions.

the global event can be fun, depends on your build.
For example, I run sharpshooter sniper Determined & perfect headhunter with Tip of the Spear.
I use the special weapon to both proc the explosion and get headshot kill as that also procs headhunter, then switch back to my sniper.
Since sharpshooter gets the special weapon ammo based on headshot kills, the combination of Determined and Tip of the Spear
ensures you never run out.

I've used it for tidal basin legendary in a group, steam rolls the mission. It get tricky at the last fight but is still doable

Using in combination with Tip of the Spear and the global event, the sequence goes like this

1. Get headshot kill with tac50, which procs Perfect Headhunter. At same time triggers exposion which deals a lot of damage
2. Switch to sniper with Determined
3. Get headshot kill. Now you have Perfect Headhunter with Determined

the tac50 also has the ability to go through multiple targets, so you can get 2 or 3 kills in one shot

Perfect Headhunter
Sawyers kneepads
Tip of the Spear, each with headshot dmg
White Death & Determined as primary, St. Elmo as secondary

the skills are largely irrelevant but I use revive hive and decoy

Here I use Sawyer as most of time I'm camping and the explosion dmg stagger protection is very useful. Plus you get 30% dmg bonus after staying still for 10 seconds.

AFTER checkpoint
I change the Sawyer kneepads to Exodus gloves, rest stays the same. If you don't have Exodus then Sawyer is still usable for the stagger protection.

Regardless of your loadout, using the Tip of the Spear backpack is recommended. It gives +50% weapon dmg for 15 seconds after using up all your special ammo.
In combat it means you switch to tac50, hit/take down as many targets as possible (using up all your special ammo) then switch to your primary. I use this tactic when I need burst damage. Is very effective. Also the backpack talent doubles the special ammo regen rate

Tip of the Spear used to be good for ordinary legendary missions since it gave 40% weapon dmg bonus for 60 seconds after doing dmg with special weapon.
I ran it with my sniper headshot Determined gear.
Then the devs unnecessarily nerfed Tip of the Spear. Now it's only useful with global events that involve using the special weapon.

You get some blueprints as unlockable perks from the skill quartermaster guy, some from side missions, and the rest from level 3 or 4 control points. In most cases you then have to craft them before you can use them.

Basically the first step is the proficiency rank. You use or donate the item to get it to rank 10 then it becomes proficient. After that you can expertise it to a maximum level of what your expertise rank is, which is a total of all things you have proficient. The current max expertise rank is 30 with 433 different items you can be proficient in (including brands, gearsets, named items, exotics and regular weapons and skills). What expertising does is increase the stats on the item you upgrade through expertising. Weapons get extra damage, gear gets extra armour (but this is not recommended) and skills will get different stats based on the skill it is. For example restorer hive gets duration but a mender seeker gets extra repair skills.

In the expertise section in the tinkering station you can see your rank and how many items needed to rank up and how many you have proficient. In there you can donate the specific weapons, gear ect through "donate junk" but you will need to mark it as trash first iirc. You can also donate raw materials however this is costly.

Hit 30 then you should unlock strongholds. But you can do WONY or BFB anytime (it will boost your level to the dlc requirement if not met) once you hit 40 you will be in end game and can focus on builds and higher tier content like legendary missions and manhunts.

Honestly can't go too wrong but if you like to be up in the enemies face i'd recommend a crusader shield. For the other choice it is really up to you but you could run a reviver hive for a second wind or say a striker drone for a bit of extra help as a distraction. Oh and as you do WONY you will unlock some new skills. There is also one in BFB. after WONY i'd recommend doing the legacy manhunts since those all take place before BFB and some also give a skill.

Pulse is nice too if you like to make sure you don't get flanked

Try out the foam chem launcher, even on 0 skill tiers it lets you stick an enemy. Can be pretty nice against tanks and rushers. Pulse is good. Hive is good too. And stuff like the turret and drone will draw some fire too.

Yep, won't have a huge radius but you can hit a few enemies if they are close or coming out a doorway

Banshee pulse is really good too but you just need to unlock it through the gunner specialization first but honestly it is worth it and gunner is typically your go to for dps builds

You never used to be able to Fast Travel to a blockaded settlement, but that was changed (afaik) at an undisclosed time years ago.

I remember you needed to also defeat the blockade to access the vendor, back then. Not sure why it was changed, though. Any insight/story?

Or find a good clan that will help carry you. That's also an option. Back when my clan was active, we used to do that.

@jagged basin The GCrock server regularly does teaching runs for the Raids/Incursion, it's highly recommended that you join there.
You can find it via the 🧭 discover feature of discord, and search for "division". Also join the Community Server, it's the other big one.

Does difficulty give better loot drops for exotic in game modes like summit or countdown or no?

countdown has Heroic quality drops by default, outside of CD then yeah you get higher rolls
