No, you just get a cache with some more loot in your inventory, you'll find higher level gear. Enemies in main missions and open world areas have minimum levels too so you'll be able to access them without getting stomped

Assuming the exotic in question is part of the target loot pool, you can want as high a difficulty and as many directives as you can reasonably manage

Countdown is generally the best loot farm though, matchmake on challenging and you'll get a bunch plus currency you can spend on exotic caches

You can do missions if you prefer it that way. 7% challenging, 10% heroic difficulty. Challenging is always the best cuz it’s easier than heroic and you do 2 missions compared to 1 heroic run, increases your odds for a drop.

Brooklyn will take you right past the levelling process, but I've seen a few reports that there are some major bugs with brooklyn-boosted characters right now so probably safer to do the WONY boost

it's usually really quick using the matchmaking tab, just stick to challenging difficulty (or heroic if you've got a really top DPS build). No point matchmaking for lower difficulties.

DPS gun builds are the most generally useful and versatile, skill builds are generally more support, although it varies a bit dependent on the content. DPS builds still use skills though, eg revive hive, shield

Because before the DLC if 'I' called for backup or asked for backup I'd usually get something instantly
Since DLC I legit haven't gotten a single thing and I've just gone through the entire DLC with "asking for backup" on the whole time across 4 days and nothing

I've also see other people say PC OCE is bugged which is too niche of a thing for multiple people to be complaining about if there wasn't some issue

I see a lot of people say they don't have any issues and to that I say I'm happy for you but in my region on my console something is severly wrong post the DLC launch in terms of Matchmaking

Your statement is only true IF everyone answered backup calls before you see them AND none of them left the group so no further backup calls are made.
