You can only recalibrate one slot, and you need to have enough of the attribute to recalibrate it to

So it's not really worth specifically farming in there for it.

Realistically, they've made everything so much easier concerning farming. Expertise upgrades are 30% their original costs. Multiple 3x-5x xp events.
There has been soo much time to make mules, with enough time to get a bunch more in.
Spend the time grinding while you still can. Much better than whining about a future non issue 💯

The reason people like the current system, is that gaining materials if you don't have a ton of time to play is very tedious, and could definitely do with a look at.

Anyone who doesn't have that extra time to spend, is a newer player so didn't have a chance to make a bunch of mules already, etc, are kinda getting screwed over by the system changing-up so late in life.

Leveling a fresh alt to level 40 gives that alt a new watch equivelant to the main agents shd, but with a full set scavenging points. (Scavenging points equal current shd-800) so someone at shd 2000 would get 1200 scavenging points after a quick 1-2 hr leveling and alt to 40. It's also been unlimited so one could level, drain points, delete alt, repeat.
Scavenging is moving to a shared pool so this loophole is being closed... I think a few will lose their shit for a few days once the door slams shut

you cant claim exotics with watch points, so listing that part of the expertise cost as a reason you want mules is kinda hollow. the costs were much, much higher before. right now you can expertise 1 item to 28 for 60 exotic components, at original costs it would be 205 exo components. the other material costs were also lowered.
this is also a looter shooter so grind is a main function. after 7200 hrs im deeply aware of the time to grind, and the material costs for pretty much everything. ive got 4 agents fully geared/specs leveled just to facilitate some of the costs like farming projects for exo components and easy levels.
you are not required to craft anything, and most of the time it isnt worth. youll always spend a lot on optimizations because crafted items generally drop with normal level rolls. chances are you could farm the pieces with much better rolls and only need 1-2 optimizations. i bet you could save a lot of points if you let rng work, and not have to have something this instant at the cost of, "14k points on 4 different characters", for a few shared items.... there are always a few solid ways to build something, so unicorns can be bypassed until rng drops you 1.
all builds function just as well with no expertise, so its also not required. it is definitely an end game concern when builds are complete. hopfully you been saving some of your mats by not expertising gear, and only expertise guns and skills you use a lot that have perfect rolls.
XP events like the 3x and 5x events never happened like they do now. you may get a 2x here and there , but it was for only 15 levels, not 1000 levels like they are now. there is a ton of opportunity to grind easy levels.

and just to be clear, im not against people using mules. i havent personally deleted any of my alts to mule it, but i do benefit from each having their own duplicate watches. ive helped a lot of people grind to the watch, and encouraged anyone to make the alts early to benefit themselves... but it is a loop hole that needs to be closed. i personally dont think it would have had any action taken if they werent implementing a level 40 boost. a level 40 boost that is another way they are making the game stupid easy.

Take a look at an item (assuming it's not an Exotic). Can you make it perfect with 1 recal and a few optimisations, and if not, is it hard to re-farm (e.g. can you get it in Countdown)?
If it's easy to get, and it's junk: you know what to do.

You can farm them but most people will be overcap anyway, a mule can only add 999 at most so the best idea is to optimise and expertise on your mules before buying shared resources. I did like 30 decently rolled weapons, fully optimisted and expertise 12 and that ate like 6k SHD. Those weapons were all close to max stats too.

I do think most coast to items needs to be reduced even more , if I gain 1% there’s no reason it should coast so much, same with gear and guns 70 mask material for 1 upgrad is crazy to me. a lot of what they been changing has been specifically for newer agents as a way to lower the bar of entry. i think this is gonna continue for different aspects of the game. the way i see it, the biggest benefit of expertise and fully optimized gear is in pvp. in pve, we arent really competing and just trying to min max for personal satisfaction. im heavy into building as my main draw so i do understand where you were coming from as well. ig i coulda went softer on the salty tears monologue, but its kinda my nature to poke things and see if i get bit . hopfully the changes can be supplemented a bit more , even if its just more ways to farm for specific mats, or an increase in what comes from the different mat/opt/recal caches you get as reward. i dont think gear farming gets any easier than countdown, but it would be nice to see some of the dz exclusive items show up in the general loot pool. definitely take advantage and overcap as much as possible with mules until next season.

Yea I’m not trippin to much I’m 16k , but my heart goes out to new players. I was once there and I have bad rng so a lot of items took me a long time to get. Just my hasburg chest I farmed countdown for 6 months straight every night for at least 3-4 hours, and when I eventually didn’t get it still I went to crafting , and that item alone took 3 characters 14k point roughly each before I got what I needed.

High end are your legendary items, named are like your raid loot type stuff, think fatebringer, they're generally more interesting than your average high end loot and exotics are 1:1 to exotics.

Its pretty .75:1 to both warframe and destiny. There are ideas peeled from both that they take about a step further. I got a taste of the pyromaniac eclipse protocol build and incandescent feels like a pale imitation. Let alone ongoing directive, THAT is gyrfalcon's hunter munitions for the whole team.

I actially apprentiate this balance in this game. W Destiny its a ton of paywalls and an extreme amount of grinding, although you are rewarded with powerful builds and combinations. Warframe was too aggressive grind wise for me. This feels nice. A game with endless craft capabilities

I find it interesting indeed.. I'm farming countdown for a good AR.. and most people are running Striker.. I've seen a couple of Umbras and Virtuoso but very few ODs.. that's so strange..

I wouldn't save anything that cant be recalibrated perfect. Max optimizations should be 2 or less for perfect. If it's not a unicorn and doesnt fit that criteria, junk it

I am sure other people have other methods, but this is mine:

If I am working on a build, like I recently put together a hotshot build, I will run countdown until I get all the pieces I want with great or better rolls. The whole time I am junking/donating what I don't want to expertise/dismantling for parts. Once I have all my armor pieces, I will then go after any guns I want, same thing.

Then I will reset the CP on the map, and use that build to clear them all for more expertise/recalibration mats if I can, if it is specialized I will just use a build that can clear them quickly so I can get what I need.

The whole time recalibrating/optimizing as needed.

Rinse and repeat forever, because this is a looter shooter. But now is a good time to get a lot of that kind of stuff done before the DLC drops.

I assume that with the new DLC and going to level 50, we will also get another level of library? So you might not want to focus too hard on that if you haven't really started, because your lv30 and 40 library won't do a whole lot of good once you get the lv50 one?

Perfect week to start the Nemesis project, or get that blueprint you been waiting for.

After you get the Tidal Basin piece , change mode for invaded stronghold back to invaded. Complete again for another nemesis piece (stronghold dependent). With any 2 pieces in hand set GWH back to invaded and the blueprint will drop. Nemesis can be farmed from Marksman Rifle Target Loot after that, regardless of project completion.

Not talking the "weapon handling" stat itself*, but the actual feel of shooting, reloading, aiming - It feels like the 1886 just operates more smoothly, I feel like I miss more with the diamondback, have a slightly more difficult time getting the target in crosshairs, shooting doesn't feel as fluid, and reloading feels worse. Thing is, stats-wise (aside from reload), it should feel the other way around compared to the 1886. But maybe the gun is just bugged or maybe it's just me, idk

The main problem is the fact grenade are linked to speciality

The best grenade (aka Cluster) doesn't fall into the best speciality (aka mortar)

And also that grenade doesn't drop much
