In a similar boat to you, however I got the game in 2021. Stopped when I reached LVL 30 since I was unsure if spending money on NYC is worth it…man I missed out.
Then picked it up again after a while, bought the DLC and got to SHD like 500-600, and left it for another year and a half.
Back now and wish I never did all that, missed out on probably so many cool cosmetics, limited time weapons and other fun things

a few things comes to mind about that,
swap a skill to like seeker mine or maybe oxi chem launcher and see if you can get the seeker to chase after him on the other side or the chem launcher to do damage to him forcing him to move

8 was a good stepping point from 4 which is what incursions needed, and incursions were mini-raids

6 would be too incremental, and 8 allows you to split into 2 subteams of 4 for mechanics

You have to set your world difficulty before starting the summon steps though, if you change it later it resets all the steps

there's about 100 blueprints in the pool, you get one blueprint per reconstructed cache, there's a 50% chance of one of those from a nemesis kill, which takes maybe half an hour once you're moderately experienced. So yeah, rather a lot of farming, like 100h+.

Make sure you are the right level and have completed dc. Control points go up in difficult based on world difficult or you do activities near them such as territory controls, propaganda, etc

dtooc is a very worthwhile buff to your guns, and since that gun isn't locked away behind a content wall, you can easily farm out a better copy.

it's a mix of pve and pvp really.. agents who cut your rope during extraction or kill you turn rogue.. the challenges are marked on the map in DZ, you fight pve enemies there, they can drop the contaminated gear that has a special glow, when you extract the items with the chopper (you call it in) you will "clean" those items and you can use them. DZ drops named items but honestly I have gotten a lot more named items just playing everything else. But i"m guessing you can farm specific ones with challenges in the DZ

yeah there are a few named items that's supposed to only drop in the dark zones, but the way around it is legacy manhunt caches or named caches

How did they die? Have I died sure but I’m level 9 and I’ve managed to solo missions. I just started the game a day or two ago. Honestly I’m surprised at how easy the missions I have run are compared to the division 1.

My friend are I just hit level 40 on fresh agents, we have completed the main story enough that we are on Invasion difficulty. Which I believe is World Tier 2? Whats the best way for us to get better gear and start taking on more difficult content? Any recommendations? Keep in mind these are fresh agents, not agents we just went from 30-40 on. So we may not have a lot of prerequisites done for some recommendations.

Make sure to matchmake on challenging, the only hard part is the hunters but after that you'll be swimming in loot

strikers and hunters fury are both pretty solid ways to start. Strikers cuz its just tons of dmg for free, and hunters fury is good for run and gun smg builds if you want tons of armor back after getting a kill. Hunters Fury was what i used to basically start getting into late game

Both are simple, easy to use and learn sets, that still allow for a large amount of variety

Heartbreaker is also a pretty strong starting point

Even with a still not very high chance to drop exotics, the sheer number of enemies, elites, and named enemies, combined with hunters means you will still get exotics pretty easily

It doesn't seem to be effecting random patrols as much, but when I go into a Control Point lately every enemy is almost impossible to down.
I know my SHD level is only 161, but still my world difficulty setting is only on Hard.
Kingsbreaker is got 93.6k, Iron Lung is at 80.7k and I've got 1.3M armor.
Last Control Point I just attempted I ran out of ammo on the Iron Lung and hadn't even got past the first phase. 😿

a really long time ago, people were enjoying in sync weapon buff with those shields + vigilence for an extreme amount of damage

not sure how the shield interacted with insync, but reading the weapon talent
when your skill hits a target you get a weapon damage bonus, if you get a weapon damage hit you get double the bonus of weapon damage
so if it was 20% you get a skill damage and weapon damage you jumped to 40% damage or something?

i was thinking about that but the issue I have is that so far I'm not super impressed with any of the skills if I'm honest.. they feel clunky usually and don't flow with the combat as well.. the weapon gameplay is great and all but skills I feel are a lot to be desired

ik its a guaranteed drop on master but I cant tell if you have to do master before it'll drop on the lower difficulties
