It makes the range of attribute percentage smaller. Anything can max roll, but difficulty sets the minimum possible roll.

So higher average overall. But still can drop trash rolls

If you are looking for quantity and better rolls run countdown challenging. You'll be able to skew the results a little because you'll drop alot more items compared to a mission. You can get 50ish loot drops in countdown

It's a 15min timed mission, and has a lot of named item drops along with regular gear

Battling to describe this in a way that I find my answer on Google so here goes on Discord...

When things like SHD Watch points or Proficiency etc levels up, a gold, glow/pillar of
light appears around your character WITH the wording on top of what's being levelled up
Slightly more frequently, the same gold, glow/pillar of light also appears... but with no wording.
I assume it's no hugely significant level up since it isn't even named and I've kept
an eye on things like XP numbers but I can't see why this is happening.
What level up is causing this unnamed pillar of light?

DZ got brackets after they removed the requirement of being in NY to progress to 40. This was to protect low level newbs from the "gods" of dark zone (SHD ≠ Skilled Player). It was a silent patch. However, there was a big flaw: they made getting Keener's watch OPTIONAL. Meaning, you can throw on your Expertise 27 (at the time) build and manhunt farm level 31+ players. Newbs essentially. This was a BIG issue for a bit until they patched it entirely

issue is that all heroic bounties for true sons are only spawning in one place

bounties are scalled to your world tier or up

so if you play on heroic by default all bounties will be on heroic

dropping to challenging will make them either heroic or challenging

it is a known issue devs have added to the trelo board since it can stop progress on manhunt

just saying bounties can spawn if you drop to challenging is the just the faster way to explain the situation

Directives add XP and a moderate increased chance to get the TL (targeted loot) to drop, it does not increase the % of the loot rolls.

There's a meta XP farm 📌 pinned over in #ask-td2-community if you are looking for a quick way, just make sure you run it when there's a bonus XP event active.

IMO it's best to stay fast. If you can reliably complete Heroic +Directives quickly, then that's the method, if you're a bit slower (and no shame in that, we all learn at our own pace) then Chall+Directives wins out.

@forest tulip Just to check, you are completing the base version of it, on Normal or higher Difficulty, right?
So that's not the Manhunt or Invaded versions, just the original one, where you go activate the Polar Bear echo at the end.

The major difference is ghosts on average are the same skill ceiling without high tech gadgets and not to mention all ghosts are active military operatives, unlike division agents which differ in backgrounds leading to differing levels of skill

And this is ignoring breakpoint, where Nomad canonically does the entire base game campaign solo

Ghosts have significantly higher feats that have happened

The only real feats div agents have are hunters and factions like lmb and black tusk, all of which have tons of agent kills

When I tried the seasonal character system you basically started out from level one - create character, follow through the seasonal journey.. play missions etc then during the last 2 weeks of the season your main characters were useful

The buffs for the modifiers were actually larger feeding into the hero roleplay element. It was like watching the current Chinese version gameplay

It didn't transfer as such you were just able to make the character become one of your non seasonal agents and based on the level you reached by the end of the season the total xp gains were applied to your non seasonal agent. There were other rewards -- the carmine mask was also a seasonal completion reward regardless of completing the journey. When the seasone was delayed a few weeks they went back and adjusted the values of the modifiers so that our normal characters wouldn't breeze through heroic with ease
