Regulus has more dmg but you need to get all headshots, with harvest you can add determine get one headshot and all body shots or leg shots and put out way more dmg. Only way regulus is hitting harder is if you hit all headshots 100-% of the time. Regulus is the hardest hitting pistol for sure but harvest with determined makes it better imo

For countdown just stick with the team, bring skills that aid the team (pulse to see enemies, foam launcher for cc and a revive hive). Do what dmg you can but don't try and do too much, play safe. Focus on the objective in each room and you'll be ok. Also don't worry if you fall behind because you're looting, it's what you are expected to do.

The only reason I contributed any dmg in my early runs was because I got a bullet king and I just held R2 for most of the mission

Hmm easiest one would be striker. Another decent set would be Umbra set but you have duck in and out of cover ever minute or so and it has in built regen and bonus rpm and crit dmg. I set mine up to run at heroic but not used it much, so not sure how long you need to be in and out.

Those two should help you get through solo content up to like heroic^

I would also suggest getting 4pc of either above equipment, 1pc Ceska piece aswell and 1pc grupo

For umbra, you want umbra backpack and chest

For striker go with striker backpack and Ceska obliterate w CHC/CHD

Id suggest heartbreaker if you are willing to lock into technician, and sacrifice a long underbarrel slot for guarenteed pulsing, but then again at a lower shd level thats sacrificing crucial crit chance

Shooting an enemy affected by a status effect will mark it. And when you kill it before the mark expires, you will get hollowpoint ammo. But I have now a couple of times experienced shooting an enemy without it getting marked.

The funny thing is, the bug doesn't persist. Once you leave combat and start a new fight, it once again work as it should.

Once you get a good build and get used to the game mechanics you can even solo legendary the summit. I'd you should try getting a striker or skill build first. Striker is easier to get. Skill(drone+turret) is easier to play(imo) but a bit harder to assemble. That will carry you through heroic.

imo that's poor game design. Survival is a zero to hero mode, you go in with nothing and claw your way to a build and by the end(of a good run) you feel powerful and can 1-2 shot hunters. It would be annoying to have your health degrade to a point of non functioning characters, considering how actual infections work this would not actually be an issue anyway. It's just kinda messed up to punish players for doing well which is what your suggesting.

If anyone would like to discuss various aspects of the game which greatly increase your ability and efficiency to level up, add me and DM me. One example right now is to farm Public Executions on Challenging with all five directives active.

To negate Pistolero, run Gunner Spec, which provides ammo over time.

A Vile mask, Jammer Pulse with three China Light, Two Grupo is perfect. I can complete most public executions in under 30 seconds.

I completed both 5XP events in under seven hours, acquiring 1000 levels both times.

It's faster running heroic control points with 5d and hotshot build. Farming executions means travel time.
Farming sleeping giant for example allows you to reset cp and spawn about 150m from the cp.
