You can also get it from the Dark Zone (DZ), but the chance is absolutely awful, about 0.02% with no modifier for TL.

You can check division2map.com and it'll list every possible locations, there are a LOT of options.
Remember that they spawn in a new spot every time you re-log, so make sure you're going through the full process each attempt.

Honestly, any difficulty below Challenging, and Countdown isn't really worth it.
the main purpose of Countdown is for farming gear, and on Challenging and above: enemies only drop gold/gearset/exotic loot.
matchmaking times are also blazingly fast on Chall', under 30 seconds to find someone.

@kindred falcon It's going to be s step-up in difficulty, but you have a team and they'll help bring you across the line. Just follow the biggest group of people and try to do the objectives.

It's certainly better if you raise the difficulty, but it can still take a while.
Luckily with Countdown, you can spend the credits you get from there to buy Exotic Caches to give you an extra chance. You can afford one every 2-3 runs if you play Challenging.

Countdown is more about the sheer amount of loot, rather than the quality of it.

If you do plan on farming Countdown for Exotics: just ignore Heroic unless you have a dedicated team.
Due to weird scaling, Challenging loot is basically Heroic anyway, and you can afford an Exotic Cache from the CD Vendor every 2-3 runs. (Laptop at the White House, near the outdoors shop)

The Chameleon has an abnormally high drop-rate for those, and you get a lot each week, without adding to the count via Public Execution Activities.

Premium + .. you skip 20 levels, you get a western rowan skin .. comprised of 2 pieces, rowan weapon skin to match the rowan outfit, and lastly 500 premium credits .. and same you gotta grind for it or spend real money

The only way to grind season pass xp is Journey (a handful of them), Priority objectives (just spam season pass xp .. but gives little xp or half xp is random) , and manhunts (handful of them but we gotta wait later on)/
