Most new players do countdown, the gear you get from the mode is good for starter builds and proficiency, the countdown tokens you get can be used to purchase exotic caches and 2 successful countdowns will net you an exotic cache at about 15 minutes a run.

Anything put into the library has unlimited uses for recalibration and the max rolls dictate how much you can optimize so max your library.

There is a way to swap if you've got another load out with the spec you want. It requires putting on a spec skill and putting the skill on cool down for that spec then swapping to another build with a different spec an vs it'll switch everything but the spec and spec skill.

What’s the difference between invaded and regular missions ? Like I know invaded our black tusk. But should I switch them to normal or play them on invaded most of time if available?

If Invaded is available, it will give you more xp than at base, so it's worth doing a run-through once a week if you can.
Sometimes a requirement for a Project or such will list the mission, just make sure that it doesn't specify which version of said mission.

yes, they will switch back to normal. You'll also get spec points (if you're not maxed out) for first completion, a guaranteed named item if you run them on heroic, and clearing all invaded missions will hugely reduce the amount of black tusk activities in DC (whether that's a good thing or a bad thing is up to you)

i was able to hit 28 before they fixed the double points for proficiency levels. initially it was supposed to be max 20 (really it was a few proficient items above 20) based on the number of items available. no real cap on it though, its open ended which is why ive been confident we wont see a level 50 bump anytime in the future

Sure, there's a bulk of them in DC (even most of the "NYC cache" ones are in DC), but you can easily go hunt all down.
Just make sure you follow guides to the letter. Most of them have to be done between 21:00 and 05:00 ingame time.

Yeah, I know, I meant easy with regards to how convoluted they are. Hunters are a secret - it's only "tedious" because they're figured out.
I would love to run around with a squad and actually figure out the Hunters on my own, learn their "code" on the walls.
My best experience in WoW was doing one of the secret mounts that took you into a procedurally generated puzzle that could easily take you 1-2 hours to figure out due to the layout. It was amazing! I did it before an addon was developed that just solves it for you

When I did it there was no SHD, and I don't even think I was on the discord yet.
So like a newbie, I crafted a weak pistol and took 3 tries to remove all the armour without killing him.

Part of it is just down to RNG. Farming gear on challenging can be argued to be better if it's faster. When your getting drops you can think of it as a pull on a spot machine. Heroic has a higher average stats dropping, but what matters is getting the correct rolls in place. If your farming challenging you can potentially go quicker, getting you more drops and more chances to get what your looking for.

thats the one i have the least problem with. also you can cheat it by using OD. you can cheat it even further by getting your special ammo in the firing range before you go out into the game.
