I shared drHarms* frustration when I first did the recruiter mission, because anything up until then had been fine with my HH build, but Recruiter was impossible. It was frustrating, as I didn't have any other build at the time nor was there a popup like you guys mentioned that said "not a good idea lol".
The thing I hate the most with HH builds isn't the robotic enemies, they can be dealt with. It's every mission with a weak point that has to be killed, because that hp is scaled to the smithereens. The door in GWH, the Recruiter mission has the three or so barrels before we even talk about the boss fight

LFG'ing actually only goes down in #lfg-pc, although you're going to have a hard time anyway, as the bulk of players are through the DLC which negates any loot gained at Gear Score level.
It's more than half the game by this point.

Just get it on heavy sale (on sale right now actually) and you only need the version which lists "WONY", don't worry about any fancy editions.

We use what amounts to basically super powers ingame, Nemesis is a charging sniper rifle, so it's in effect a portable rail gun.

SHD isn't that big of a deal imo. I mean you could total up how much total damage you'd be loosing per whatever build tho. I'd guess on a strikers build you'd be looking at 20% less damage or somewhere in that ball park.

There's multiple brand sets that grant crits, the entire point of the shd system was to include linear progression from 1 to 1000. It wasn't "absolutely necessary" to get to that point immediately. The same thing goes for optimising builds, people want it right here and now - total fomo.

I always go for the lowest effort. Do one sweep to get items mostly where you want them. Then recal to have correct rolls. Then start to farm perfect rolls and better versions of what I have.

IH raid projects, typically takes 3 weekly resets to complete if you complete all the projects inbetween resets.

Yes, upon first completion when you go back to DC you'll get projects for IH and FB gear sets. Then you just keep doing dem. Most of the time the IH crafting mats you get for your first run aren't enough to complete the project so second week or second character will take care of that and then once all projects are done and you get the BP for regulus on a fresh week the bosses will drop a part of the gun with the final box containing the last part.

having an item unequipped will show you the resources you need to optimize your gear, but wearing that piece will just say "you don't have enough materials to optimize 🖕"
