I would say slowly work your way up til your comfortable on the difficulty. It may be a superstition thing, but I feel the lower the difficulty the low the rolls on gear are. I know they are planning on changing it so the higher the difficulty the better the items rolls. However, if you get gear on hard you can eventually upgrade it to max if you so chose. It will be very expensive if the rolls are low

In terms of freshly reaching the shd level find something that works for you and then start to build up your recalibration library and expertise levels. Optimizing gear should be done if the item is almost maxed out/hard piece to find/exotic gun. You will be able to do countdown and farm all this stuff up in no time

What aspect said with striker you don't need a shotgun to stack. Using something like the vector smg or st elmos exotic assault rifle are two very good options. Striker plays just use shotguns since its the fastest. In mt opinion if you want to farm a skill build I would continue to use striker and go into countdown on something like challenging and select the targeted loot to the pieces you need. That will be the fastest way to get your build

As a damage build (HB is primarily damage when correctly utilized) you should be using damage talents instead of survivability talents. Leave the survivability stuff to the healer, focus on keeping yourself alive with the games built in survival options.

Yeah damage eclipse is solid too. It's an easy swap for cc. Regular vile eclipse will already sit at 50% hazpro a few disrupt mods will have it almost immune to hunter jam. I like full hazpro for hunters but also anything else status. Hell I can walk across turbine without stagger 😅 .

Hi everyone. I havent played in quite some time, probably a year. How is the current endgame pve content? Does the game feel EXTREMELY grindy? Is there content to do or should I wait before coming back?

the key to the incursion is communication, first part with turrets there are a few ways to easily do this with minimal loss, if not any deaths, you can either "thread the needle" with an oxidizer build, push up using a decoy/healing hive while dps takes out chungas and one takes out the tank, or you can have another skill build using a jammer pulse to the turrets and do the same thing without a heal hive. You'll need a lot of communication in the second phase with "wright" the second boss, don't have to have a great healer but a decent one for that part, but it's imperative to have some good dps to get him down between his phases so no wipes, and depending on the final bosses and how the group wants to do it, communication isn't a must, but good to have. Depending on how you do the end, some stay at the tent and dodge mortars then do their damage phases from mid to close distance using sledgehammer to slow the target down and increase the dmg to their armor, while others rush and melt both under the awning behind them at the door to the keybox.

I've done it many different ways, but I will say, the striker dps using a coyotes mask is the way to go.. now i don't use the chest plate for striker though I use a grupo with obliterate talent, i find that it's roughly the same with overall damage and easier to maintain the 100 stacks, but you run it however makes you comfortable. Either way you'll be dishing out well over 700 to 900k+ dmg at nearly half stacks.

Also, don't get discouraged if you don't get the Ouroboros first or second time.. took me 16 runs to get mine, and I never dropped it, someone else dropped it for me. And I've ran it about 11 more times, and I've yet to see it come out of the box, or from a boss drop as of yet, but I've seen others get it.

This is the 2nd time I've noticed this
at the turrets in the incursion the right side turrets seems to completely wreck the decoy much faster than on the left side

This is usually caused by a mortar hitting your decoy. It's why I suggest people double up with decoy and sticky emp for the turret. Decoy for ads(while it's up) and sticky emp for the turret cause you'll probably lose the decoy.

Do you know about the aiming trick? Point the launcher at the enemy and hold the fire button to lock on and start loading rockets, then aim upwards before releasing the trigger, the rockets will go up first then home down on the target.

Means they're less likely to miss and less likely to hit cover in front of you

What is the etiquette when I am doing a mission and calling for backup. I'm currently progressing through world tiers and their invaded missions/stronghold and always matchmaking or calling for backup to get people to join in. After finishing one mission people usually stick around and then I run as fast as I can to the next mission / stronghold so that we can do them together as well. I'm wondering if I am wasting people's time by manually running to the next mission, is there a way to just start from a menu? I.E. can I just click a button to start Space Administration after having done Air & Space Museum?

You can't teleport to the next mission in that scenario but the shepherd can if they want, then you can teleport to them, so select the mission and keep an eye open to see if they do

Selecting the mission on the map should let them know that's where you want to go next

Generally fastest shd farming method is just running around the open world doing activities like public executions with as high a difficulty and directives settings as you can reasonably manage

You'll want a half decent build first though, challenging countdown is the best place to farm gear when starting out

Actually we do know the current "meta" for farming xp.
It's to do LZ (open world) map activities/CP's/bounties on challenging/heroic, stack up some Directives to remain fast, and "call for backup" each time someone joins if you don't want to solo it.

Determined hotshot build is probably the fastest way, but it does take some accuracy. There's a setup for it over in #td2-build-advice > 📌 > spreadsheet 2.

if you fast-travelled and started the mission immediately last time, there's a fair chance it defaulted to your world difficulty (when it's supposed to be locked to Story), which then doesn't count for unlocking other difficulties

you have to go to the site and set/reset the difficulty to Story again (then double-check while running the mission that it's still set to story)
