I've gotten mad heat from people for kicking due to having bad builds. Some people get really pissed off if you kick them from a CD lobby.

On one part of that I understand the heat from getting kicked. Especially low SHD levels like me cause im sure that they're just unaware or dont have the most experience when it comes to builds but also, it normally takes like 10 seconds max to find another group so 🤷‍♂️

I blame the game. It says "heroic" and people are like... yea I can do heroic. Except it's scaled to 8 players making the enemies mega tanky.

And the fact that Countdown is purely a DPS check with no interesting mechanics outside of CC.

Healers and skill (damage) builds have nothing to do.

if you haven done previous manhunt missions to unlock the other skills and exotics the give you should also do that

The boost is unlimited. So you can start either now and decide to use the boost or start a character from level 1 at any time.

Imo the story mode is the weakest part of the game, so if you've already done it I don't see any reason to not use the boost

The most common way it bugs out is if you have some armor regen. The game doesn't always recognize you at 0 armor since your constantly getting a small amount of armor back.

Future Initiative. Healer is the obvious way to set it up, but you often don't need a full healer, so there's a variety of different ways to set it up like red FI to still get the team TWD boost

Ongoing directive is the other main support build. True Patriot looks okay at a glance, but the buffs you get from it are really underwhelming compared to other support options.

If your friend is going for Hunters Fury, it's not a traditional "support" build, but it will help them a bit. Could always go for something like a Hotshot MMR setup.

I'd go with the sniper support, good for picking off enemies outside his effective range. If you want to wind him up you can start stealing all his kills too!

I feel like splitting out the idea of being a tank as either a sponge or a beacon (?) would be kind of useful. One that draws aggro and takes the heat off the DPS folks, and one that acts as a mobile barrier that you want to stay near

Without treading on the healer class, because that would be a bad move, but either of the two would do opposite things. A sponge just nullifies the output of enemies, the beacon absorbs that bad stuff and that trickles down to the teammates that are nearby

And specialisations that actually let you micro-manage that. The beacon, if you're say, within 10m of them, absorbs any of the special ammo fired at them and is distributed equally among the rest of you
