When a new Exotic is added via the Season Pass, you either have to obtain it from levelling up that (after which it's added to the LZ pool), or wait until the Season is over and it's added to the LZ loot pool (LZ here referring to anywhere that's not raids/dz/etc.)

For Dark Hours all you really need is a basic Red DPS high-end build.
#td2-build-advice > 📌 > spreadsheet > builds. Make the one called "standard Red DPS". Once you have that, look up some tutorials and find a Raid group. You'll do okay as long as you listen to the Raid Leader.

Create new character, get to White House, talk to Manny, talk to Quarter Master. Then options, store, add/ons, boost to level 30 / WT5. Then donate resources to weekly shd requisition project for exotic cache. Delete character and repeat. Takes 7-10 minutes….

Based on what your wearing, so use highest GS pieces you have. Farming higher difficulties (ie challenging +) will drop higher GS items.

Basically just focus on going through the world tiers, then once your WT5 don't worry about gear score, focus on putting a build together that makes sense, not just the highest gearscore. And if your going to play the dlc just go right into that after you reach wt5

There are some builds that make good use of the blue screen. Bullet king is more or less a novelty gun - the never ending mag is nice, but the damage is kinda low and in groups, using a suppression cannon can make some folks a bit salty
