well it's not any squishier than most other DPS builds, it's just more cumbersome to use
but also you have oneshot protection in the game so nothing can kill you in one shot/grenade

when positioning well with it you can eat two exploding drones + a grenade landing even

its worth running 2 blues on a perfect focus strikers build just to have a shield that lasts a little bit

the damage is still good

it's absolutely not worth doing that whatsoever in far most cases

your damage is what keeps everything at bay, and you don't plan on the shield taking damage if you use it properly

the harder you hit, the better you make sure enemies can't flank and live long enough to do anything, giving a far higher defensive value in legendary

biggest thing to worry about it is you don't want your shield to break from an explosion landing at you, it's often better to quickly disable it so you take the damage instead of the shield (if you're full health and armour and didn't take recent damage, you can't be oneshot by it even with a direct impact), so that you can quickly whip your shield out to keep using corner peaking with it

once you really know what you're doing and the basic habits are built properly and have a good foundation you can swap around and whatnot

survivalist is a solid spec. also demolitionist because it lets you use the mortar turret which is very strong

Has anyone else had an issue where they no longer get the long duration Memento buff? Like, I'm picking up the tokens, getting the short buff, but I'm not getting the long form buff.

I come across sooo many people talking in game about how they'll be able to run like 3 HB and 2 strikers and how it'll be beyond OP, not realising that for example giving up both coyote and a BP talent is also pretty big, and the 2-3 part buffs of gearsets aren't the end of all

probably nice as a "feels good" kind of versatile build for many though (regardless of how much performance it leaves on the table, but what mama don't know won't hurt her)

I initially tried it with my first EP CC build but realised to make good use of it you want to ideally know beforehand in what specific timings you want to empower yourself and in most generic and/or inexperienced times that was just "uhhhh, always or never?" so I swapped back to creeping death BP for a more general "kind of always nice" BP

I haven't ran any variation of a build giving bonus armour to allies no, I'm either doing DPS usually or going all out with CC as a way to increase the damage output and survivability of others (or fire EP on heroic and below, iKia got me really hooked into it)
