Nah, Hollywood takes that crown. Polarity is a bit more mental load but a nice damage buff. It's only a pain when you're running with someone who keeps meleeing enemies and changing their polarity without warning.

iirc, any named enemies will drop their specific faction keys. So if you can just find open world Hyena bosses and bust them open. Same goes to named Hyenas in missions.

ideally you want to complete the world tiers, go to New York (requires the WONY dlc), complete that and get to level 40, put together a strong all-red crit build, THEN run the raids. At level 30 you'll just be dead weight.

you get two or three missions I believe, and a stronghold

when you complete those you get to the next tier. as far as I know it's a set pattern for which sets of missions that take you to world tier X

so just keep playing until you find a difficulty you like :)

If the goal is getting exotic caches it's probably less time consuming to just spam Countodown over and over isn't it? After just two successful Countdowns on Challenging you have enough to get an exotic cache which equals to just over 30 mins or so.

i remember trying dx12 back then because it was using less cpu and the game was not stuttering with 3770

I hate meta, it's a sign of lazy devs that don't think about diversity. They might think they add diversity by throwing in n-numbers of different crap but there's no balance between them.

I don't always use meta builds or stuff half the time I play this game. Meta doesn't mean lazy development. It's a consequence stemming from what the community and the player base believe to be the optimal cases for many things. The devs adjust or tweak things to promote balance and fairness but there will always be things that are either OP AF or just plain forgettable.

There's plenty of diversity in this game, I'd say. You wanna use an 1886 rifle on your HH build? Go for it as long as you're having fun.

My go to solo build is far from meta… and been running it for years, was my own idea at the time, but have seen many versions since.

Of course, it wouldn't be fun at all if just about anything and any combination of gear you slapped on your character was equally strong and viable in any thinkable sitatuion. But, there should be a slightly wider variety of builds of different types that are "op as f".

I think there is a wide variety of different builds of many types. Despite what the maths and the mechanics say about them, you just stick with the ones that you really like playing with your style.

Heartbreaker is a good example, imo, of this. Pretty meta when it was released, quite ridiculously broken at first. But I wouldn't really use it because I'm a lazy person and I don't like stacking 😂 But hey, it works even now while it's "adjusted"

Consequentially, we have Scorpio. Arguably the best weapon you can have right now. It's just too good to miss. (PvE, that is)

It means that in countdown for example, you can't cc as easily with other weapons as you can with Scorpio. So you just see alot of players running around with that silly shotgun.

Mmm, I get what you're saying. But it's a shotgun and you can easily counter that. IMO, something that's completely broken is something that doesn't have a natural counter. Scorpio isn't a silver bullet to everything, especially if you're shooting something 20 meters away.

But that said, it just so happens that PvE content is riddled with Scorpio usage and it's facts at this point because... It's too good.

This, I think, is where diversity truly shines. When you mix game knowledge and theory crafting, then go ham with as many diverse builds as you like. The caveat is whether or not you have fun using them regardless of maths or amps or calculations. Not saying they're useless, btw.

I mean, there are some weapon types and specific weapons of that type that really trumps all others and where you can almost completely disregard investing in offensive traits because the weapon talent in itself is so op and use up those traits for survivability. So builds where you invest alot in damage traits becomes squishy as f and are just paper while barely keeping up with dmg with those survivability builds with that one or two or three pieces of perfect synergy for dmg and all else survivability.
