You skipped them

Normally, without skipping, leveling goes 1-30, then your map gets taken over when you complete the 3 strongholds, you go through the map again and retake the missions, eventually leading up to a stronghold, each stronghold advances you another tier. World tier 1-4, once you get to world tier 4 you do tidal basin, which gets you to world tier 5, then you do the offsite missions, then warlords.

hi! i want to start playing TD2 again and i wanted to know how much has changed since i left the game. i left right after The Summit released because the lack of new, meaningful content and the repetitiveness of the seasonal content.

since then, how much new content has been released? any new zones or maps? and what about the seasonal content? it's still "capture the whole map again"?
is there cross-save? i used to play on PS4 but now i'm almost always playing on PC and i have all the dlcs/expansions on both platforms. if it's still not a feature, how much time do i need to regrind everything to get to the point where i'm able to do all the new content? 100 hours?

and what about the exclusives abilities from the seasonal manhunts? am i unable to get them unless i wait something like 1 or 2 years or is there a way to get them via missions/quests?
and lastly, do i need to buy other seasons or is everything included with the WONY season pass?

no cross save, only new area is countdown which is a pve mode like the summit and grinding isnt as bad as it was but expertise is the new thing youll have to commit to for engame. can still get the exclusive stuff from the manhunt missions you unlock from the season pass for free. everything is included in wony

I don't remember how painful Capitol is, though i remember that the wooden room before the rooftop is annoying. Roosevelt is fine except for the boss fight, as soon as you jump over the wall it gets truly painful. DUA is quite fun until you get to the boss, it's a boring tanky boss that takes a lot of time to kill (first backpack so it doesn't heal, then helmet to uncover their head, finally hit the head for about 10 minutes).

So there's a fixed number of intervals. Say 10, 12, 14. If you have 11.9 or 10.1, the next optimization will get you to 12 either way.

Optimization is done in discrete steps hence why the first upgrade varies
