Yes, but it's rare you're comparing two CPUs with the same architecture, if by "same architecture" you mean two CPUs that scale linearly with clock speed. Clock speed wasn't even a good indicator across specific architectures back in the 1970s. Consider a 1 MHz 6502 and a 2.5 MHz Z80 are roughly equivalant in speed.

i still have the issue going on with my end. but watching live CPU/GPU/RAM/VRAM utilization on a dedicated monitor, there are no spikes or pegs. Game plays fluid for anywhere between 45-90 minutes, then just out of no where, turns to blocky movement. mouse tracking is not the issue, hit esc, mouse moves just fine. Did all the stuff suggested - reduce polling rate, shut down Razer Synapse, repair game, reinstall game, reinstall distributable packages, reboot router and modem, even after a windows wipe, issue still persists.

Noticing also Hit Registration - my hud tells me all my shots are landing with the little red splash effect but no damage is being done till i stop shooting briefly then start shooting again.

Something has changed at the Server Maintenance when Golden Bullet started, none of these issues were present for nearly 1170 hours of gameplay until this last GB Started.

im still using a 7700K with 3200 DDR4 RAM 4x8GB on XMP. nothing else i have game wise exhibits this behavior, just TD2........ no actually i take that back, i tried the XDefiant PTS, it was even worse in XDefiant. FPS was good, utilizations were good, no spikes or 100% pegs, temps all good, but logical movement was 50x worse.

There are quite a few blueprints now locked behind descent, you get them from reconstructed caches that have a chance to drop when you beat the nemesis and more chances at higher loops

Those are previous season blueprints, I was under the impression they added those to the reward caches in CPs but I'm not sure since I got them from the seasons at the time. The Descent blueprints are mostly (if not all) named items. Note that not every item has a blueprint, many brand and gear sets only have blueprints for 3 of the 6 pieces

For those of you asking if the developers restored the performance issues, which they introduced with TU 18.2, with the newest update, the answer is no. On the contrary, the game performs even worse now. In addition, trying to launch the in-game benchmark will result in a 0% loading screen, followed by a Foxtrot-01 error and then followed by a black-screen that can only be fixed by Alt-F4-ing out of the game.

I found out that if I have HDR enabled, the game will launch once and then after that, it'll attempt to launch but crash to desktop until I reboot. Then, it'll launch just once again, and then on consecutive attempts, it'll crash to desktop.

Disabling HDR allowed it to launch without issues.

One clue I had here is that the game would have this odd contrast thing when I alt+tabbed away, but occasionally, the entire screen did the odd contrast thing if I alt+tabbed to another window on the same monitor.

My monitor DOES support HDR - any clue whats going on? I'm fine leaving HDR disabled, but am just curious why this is happening.

Thanks, but that doesn't work at all. They have like a 5-6 line script and rotate it indefinitely. When I feel like we're getting somewhere, somebody else answers and brings the ticket 2 steps back or all the way to the start. This happens every time and goes on for weeks, until I simply have to give up and the support guys can close the ticket as resolved.
Is there any reliable support channel?

The game (Division 2) sets GPU to a lower power state every time I enter the menu or check the map, and doesn't bring it back when I return to the game. Sometimes it even happens randomly, while I play the game, without entering the game menu. This results in game shuttering and frame lag.
Any ideas on how I can fix this?
I tried disabling CPU/GPU power limitations in BIOS and Windows, but nothing seems to work.

Do you have a NVIDIA GPU? You could try setting it to Maximum performance in Nvidia Control Panel.

Hi. Yes I have an Nvidia GPU, I always keep the maximum performance power setting on, and I update the drivers regularly. The problem persists. I'm inclined to believe this is not a client issue, but more of a game issue. It is highly noticeable at 120+ FPS on a 120+Hz monitor. While I'm in the game menu, the FPS drop to ~60 and although they seem to go back to 120 after exiting the menu/map, there are micro shutters and the frames seem to be delayed (delay is highly noticeable in PvP).

I believe the menu going to 60fps is normal. A lot of games tend to cap fps on loading screens and menus.

As for the stuttering and other lag, I recommend hitting Windows + Ctrl + Shift + B to restart your GPU.

Well, menu cap is fine by me. The coming back is the issue. Thanks for the key tip, but I'm looking for something more permanent and automatic. I go often in the menu/map and key presses or macros tend to get in the way when "under pressure".

The current manhunt has a bug, where it will not proc as completed if you play with others or do matchmake. Currently done with 2 HVTs and still on 45% some already got 50% + on there overall manhunt completion.

well here is a new one on me!! did the daily hyena hunt. which required district union. did it. project completed. right? wrong! answered call for back up. spun me twice put me in que twice while trying to join. it didn't go through. ended up at MLK CP and now my daily is not complete and it reset me back as i created a chatterbox when i got the final part from district. now no part no chatter box and no daily completed.

went back into district and all the boxes are opened. so records me going in and now i can't complete the chatterbox. thanks ubisoft!

in addition to the Max Perf mode within the NVCP, Windows has Power Plans that affect not only CPU, but GPU as well along with NVMe, and SSD Drive states.

Tap and hold your windows key and then tap X. You get a menu popping up in the lower left corner. Select CMD ( Admin ) - Windows 7-10 or Terminal ( Admin ) - Windows 11 and type the following command at the prompt.

close out CMD/Terminal and then hit Windows + i to bring up Settings. in the search bar type "Control Panel" and hit enter, open up Control Panel and look for Power Options. hit the down arrow where it says "Hide Additional Plans"

You should now see a option labelled "Ultimate Performance" Click the bubble button to enable it. This Power mode basically eliminates ALL of the power saving and efficiency crap, your hardware will be running at maximum performance.

Also, check your Windows GPU Settings, there is a new menu for Win 10 22H2 and Win 11 22H2 - Disable Window's ability to decide what Performance Levels to use based on Application open.

Hi and thanks for taking the time to gather all the instructions. I've tried both recommendations without success. The power plans are more of a gimmick IMO. Basically you can set the Power Saver plan to run CPU min/max 100%, disable ASPM, and you get the same performance as choosing Ultimate. I still think this is a game issue that can't be fixed by power/performance setting on my side. The game simply caps the frames and takes a really long time to remove the limit after leaving the menu. Sometimes it even happens randomly, without accessing the menu, which leads me to believe that the game somehow loses focus, makes CPU/GPU enter a lower power state and is unable to make them resume in a timely manner.
Any ideas anyone?

The issue I'm describing does not occur at 60 FPS/Hz. Any chance you could test that at 120 FPS/Hz or higher?
The monitor has to be able to handle at least 120 Hz refresh rate. No need for screenshots, just see what happens.

Yes, I get 30 FPS in loading screens and 60 FPS in the menu (second and subsequent menu screens).
The first menu screen (the one displayed on ESC) doesn't seem to have a frame limit.
The map has more of a frame drop effect, than a FPS cap. While in the map I get 70...90 FPS, depending on zoom and area.

Anytime getting an annoying bug with skills, where you place them but they vanish and become greyed out in the Hud? Team mates can see the skills and I can hear my drone flying about. The only way I can get them back is to teleport. It's so annoying, especially if it happens during a battle!

what you can try to do (works for me sometimes, not every time). equip the backpack you last had on before the current one. go to the menu where you pick what you want the bag to look like. un-equip that backpack visual , equip one thats not a reward from apparel events (or do this twice). un-equip that backpack and have just the base visual.. now go back and take a look at the backpacks in your inventory list like you did in the video. hopefully its back to normal

Yes it does, pretty cool actually. The ones with stars in background. Once clicked on, they will all be equipped like that. Even your exotic ones!! Pretty rad! But yeah, I saw the pattern and quickly figured it out. I love it.

It can easily be undone, just unclicked the one you last used to clicked that appeal.

It may be an issue where it wasn't "your" manhunt, the same thing happens with missions where you didn't play them on Story difficulty and thus never had them properly unlocked on higher ones.

Try restarting it and being the host. Just "call for backup" if you want people.

Im having trouble with my ds4 controller playing division 2. I used ds4windows to connect my controller to the game and set my emulator controller as the Xbox one. In game however, the button inputs are all wonky. For example, I lightly tapped R2 to fire an automatic gun but it keeps shooting without my physical input. On the UI, the button interface also panics between the playstation buttons and the xbox buttons. Is there a way to fix this?

Stuff happens, not the end of the world... I thought that I could get the stash again from Hatter, but after defeating him several times after that (grouped with my friend and also solo), he does not drop the stash.
So far I have not been able to complete that part of the Scavenger Hunt because of this holdup.

Stuck on the Tidal Basin Mission, second bot dog withthe canister is disabled above an EMP tower which seems to be under the bridge. Can't call for back up to progress the missions.

Hold down F (or whatever your flare key is) and run in and out of the emp area, you can get it to trigger.

Alternately if you have the gear, Vile mask and emp pulse of your own can kill it

I've figured it out. You have to reset the manhunt, then play it on normal, with no directive. Good thing is, you only have to re-do Cindy rescued, not the other three if you're already completed them. Then the final manhunt will show up

i have dealt with this for over a year now the game is unplayable. ubisoft support is of no help.
i have hundreds of games on dozens of platforms with thousands of hours, host lobbies and dedicated servers fine. this game will not stay connected for more than five minutes at a time. it is absolutely abysmal I can't even access dlc I paid for or get a refund.

the most frustrating part is that this game was fine up until a certain patch. I have also lost all my compensation caches and hardcore characters due to this bug.

when you return to the main menu the game will start reading out menu options as if you turned text to speech on.

if you have any advice at all, please I am reaching out in desperation.

I also have an issue with steamwebhelper - all i can recommend with that is don't click on it shortly after steam loads. Give it a bit of time or it will stop working

Try verifying the files after the repair.
After that, have task manager open whilst the game is running and check what it says.
I had an issue a while back where I had to end the process that opened, then retry and it would work.

Solution is right above your post: reset the whole manhunt and try again. Minimise the chance of it bugging again by doing everything solo and always waiting to hear out any dialogue to the end.

It’s unlocked like all the other legacy manhunt missions. When I load it, I get the cut scene, but then it puts me into the other manhunt.

I don’t see another way of choosing it outside of the window for legacy manhunts that has them listed in a vertical menu

You absolutely don't need to fight the Recruiter to go after Lau, as her Manhunt came out a few years before his did.

I guess for now just report the bug via a Support Ticket and see if it's patched next week.

Tested it for me and using 'toggle mission mode' from the floating options menu at the start of the mission switches between regular, invaded, Lau, and Recruiter versions. Picking Lau at this point causes it to reload the map then it starts correctly. It's likely just the legacy manhunt screen that's bugged.

yeah that's why I tested it myself, I think Drake perhaps didn't understand what you meant by 'onscreen prompt' and was just trying the legacy manhunt approach again (which also bugs for me and activates the recruiter manhunt instead)

I did specifically say at the entrance to White Oak in person for that very reason, but yeah it's an old visual bug that I hope gets addressed during Resolve.

Not an old visual bug, it's a bug with the way the new Legacy Manhunt menu functions - it obviously wasn't programmed to take account of the fact that the Recruiter manhunt is in the same location, and it activates the wrong mission mode. Other offsite manhunts activate correctly through that menu, it's just Lau that goes awry.

I got fps drop constantly from 120+ to min 45 fps. 4090 , it works fine in other games I can see that my gpu and cpu usage is also dropping when the frame rate drops. sometimes the key mechanism wears off and it unclicks by itself due to the fact that your finger slightly releases pressure on the key (you even may unnotice such change)

Has anyone else been experiencing really bad stuttering during combat and such since the last update earlier this week? Game was running perfectly fine on a 4070 w/ good cpu and 16gb ddr5 ram @ ultra/high settings on 1440p. Now I can't play for more than 5 minutes without fps dropping to single digits, unable to move mouse, and getting killed during combat every few seconds

I'd suggest trying it on story again, sometimes it bugs and starts it on your world difficulty when it's supposed to be locked to story. Once the mission is running double check the difficulty symbol at the top of the screen.

i am lvl 30 with item level of 496, i upgraded my crafting bench to item level 500 as well. i got st elmos engine from the exotic chest which is item level 502 or so. then i saw its blueprint at the vendor and purchased that too. however i cant see the weapon in any section of the crafting bench. i already sent ticket to ubisoft but havent got an answer yet. am i missing something or is it a bug? because even i have the item in my inventory and bought the relevant blueprint it doesnt show up in my craftnig bench. i scrolled all thee way down to exotic weapons but its not there, even locked status.

after a few updates and obvious changes made by ubisoft and no mention of these changes in the updates either as they never tell everything they change. so here it is. the memento backpack will bug out sometimes. the kill confirms do not give bonus armor. when running the shield with memento the shield health will only go half way up. the weapon dmg from the memento is not always catching and appears to be off and weaker and looks to be capped now by ubisoft. these bugs are not constant, but can show up at anytime. i don't understand why they did anything to the memento as there was anything wrong with it. i love that i put over 1000 exotics into my build all exp 24 and now its bugged. thanks again

almost everyone who plays the game for any length of time gets the Warlords dlc, because it adds so much more content - so most people have little reason to notice or care about problems exclusive to lvl 30 (which is a long winded way of say 'no idea, sorry')

This update is killing my gameplay. Anytime I raid or join up a group, I end up getting the Delta 3 error. Nothing is wrong with my internet and system but every time I restart and check, it keeps happening.

You need to have a non-maxed Spec Tree active before you can earn points in it.
so activate it, then doing things will earn points. Invaded Missions, projects, bounties, level up, etc. Anything that lists it as a reward.

I've had all these problems like game and then PC crashes. Then one day couple weeks ago I opened the control panel and disabled the GPU, then restarted the PC and started Div 2 and game started and didn't crash the PC. But was aweful with no GPU graphics. Then reopened the control panel and enabled the GPU , restarted the PC and opened Div2 and the game loaded with normal graphics without crashing the PC. This worked for me for what ever reason. Hope this works for others.😀

its kinda like that for a lot of major game companies now,.. you get redirected to a player made site (mostly outdated) or a discord channel (which, is not staffed by actual paid company employee's.).. the mods are here to make sure people play nice and things are posted in the correct categories (again, not a paid employee), im sure its not a glamorous job!
as for your D2 crashes. I was having the same issue for a couple of years, but was lucky enough to upgrade my machine and GPU a few months back, which stopped the crashes all together.
my issue today was, working on my current HC, i had killed the main boss (name escapes me) for the Tusk invasion of Roosevelt Island. Killed every thing, but had ONE NPC stuck in a box and because of that. i had to restart the run (and this is my least fav map, bottom of the list with spit on it), because after 5 years. we still do not have the code written to kill stuck NPCs.
