Yes, 4-man scale was made easier + if someone crashes / detla-s the game continues, and the difficulty instantly scales to the amount of players

Recently getting into a bit of Decent myself, returning player. I usually play solo, might dabble into some Descent groups later on, however a few questions.
What loop should I aim for? I think the game mode is awesome, but I'm a bit disappointed you can't pause it and go do other stuff.
Any go to esque builds to aim for in there? Any builds worth semi forcing?
Personally I kill the nemesis and reset unless I have 2 exotic talents before entering nemesis that are good. If I don't have them I just reset and do it again. I mostly farm for reconstructed caches but if you really wanna have fun, run duo with a friend and you will fly by. I like to use a dps build in there to get to nemesis, if I stay then I increase my defense. You can also go for a skill build in there but you would want to use it after nemesis
In simple terms just use whatever you find works for you
I'll stop farming for now - 34 reconstructed caches and 50k ANB tech should be enough ๐

Restoration is my favorite defensive one. The rest is a bit dependent on your weapons and exotic talents. If you get agonizing bite for example all crit-related talents become extremely desirable.

I actually like Trauma as a Utility talent because the blind on headshot can be a lifesaver and it has helped me kill the Nemesis several times.

How do you guys place yourself when you run into a room? I find it hard to find a "good" place when there's 4-5 red doors and they only exit out of 2
With the most cover and least places to get shot from the sides or behind
if you're spawn camping and solo, find a spot to stand directly looking at a door while making sure you don't get shot from behind. in some rooms it's impossible to guarantee this though

Yes, they can hack the firefly. If the nemesis is too close though he won't have time to, but if you try to blind one far away, it will come back to blind you.

And I don't get why sometimes nemesis has a decoy and sometimes it doesn't
Maneuver around so they move away from their hive but leave it alive so they don't throw out another one
One hive absolutely does not refill the entire bar, you need to act much faster than that
your first mistake is letting them deploy their skills

He definitely hacked my firefly, and yes he was far, but its wasnt the blinding one, it was the destroyer firefly that destroys weakpoints so it didn't really do anything anyway, but then he threw a different firefly that dropped bombs...
But, i mean it's fine, i dodged, threw my decoy and killed him, it worked out.

I think the talent pools for rotation are actually curated, not random
sorry what does that mean? you pick them yourself? and how long does a rotation cycle last?
it means you will only find talents that are listed in the current rotation, others (eg plague exotic talent) will never appear during your run
it tells you how long each rotation lasts in the top right, how long it'll be in the live game is unknown, probably either a day or a week
2 more que - if the duration is up mid-way through the run, will the talents change at that moment? and 2nd - if I am in a group, does everyone have diff rotation? or its same based on the who's the session leader?
I think the rotation is probably the same for everyone everywhere (like everyone has the same target loot selection). I would also assume that once you've started a descent run you'll be fixed to the talent pool that was active when you began
we need to screen and pin the selected sets, just to know when to avoid playing descent because of bad talent pool

i spent 11 hours off and on trying to get a single striker drone to help me to loop 5. not a single striker in that time and I would enter, check console and then leave. 11 hours. I finally got one, got plague at loop 1 boss then chatter on 4 and liberty on 5. so cool, right? have a scanner pulse and decoy for the boss as they almost 100% copy your skills... I spawn into nemesis fight, get behind cover for the jammer cooldown and I get two stinger hives and a striker drone thrown at me. what is this mechanic?
i don't want my hand held but I expect to at least fire a single round. all of that time lost for what?

i wanna know the numbers. they must have a record of the number of players who 1 run descent, 2 stop at nemesis, 3 speed run by choosing the highest heat score room and 4 how many go into 10, then 20, 30 and so on. Also, how many solo players as opposed to groups of 2 or more

i'm not a hardcore or even a somewhat knowledgeable gamer, so I am not very familiar with Rogue Like/Lite games. My understanding is this mode is supposed to make you feel powerful. Warframe has a rogue mode and I can go to level 9k enemies and smoke them. Massive introduces this mode, locks blueprints behind it (originally at 10 percent or lower) and then gives you sig rifles, 20rd vector smg's, empathic resolve, so on and so forth. I have maxed out the bp's so far and I have to admit, I have never felt powerful. more lucky than anything else. I'm not the best at this game but I am also not bad. I hover around just below middle level. might be my handicap and other factors. why should I have anxiety playing this mode?
The devs have made Descent less enjoyable every single time they keep tinkering with it. Their solution to the issue of too many talents is to strip all player choice instead of using proper Rogue game mechanics like the ability to bring in talents with you on a run(aka deck building) or the ability to remove talents from the selection pool on run(aka burning). Two very simple mechanics that absolutely turn the mode around.
I find than any more than 2 people makes the enemies so much tankier. I can't even kill them with a full mag sometimes. Some weapons seem to work better solo or in a group. Also, I've never been able to beat Nemesis in a group at all. I can only kill him solo, i really don't know why that is. Also if there was a checkpoint system every loop or several loops I'd be tempted to play higher loops so i could take a break. Anything past Nemesis really is just too long for one session. with a family, it's extremely difficult to push anything past nemesis.
As for the stacks of Liberty, they show on the gun when ADS. Except the next talent you get that has a gun UI icon will override the Liberty UI element, effectively removing the ability to track it. This happens on every talent, the gun ADS UI only shows the last talent you picked up.
But I see plague on the bottom, composure, etc. Why can't it just be a box on the bottom like striker and so on. It is so confusing and beyond distracting for someone like me with brain damage.
There are some talents that also have a UI icon elsewhere. But yes it is very annoying.
Yes, this exactly. Sometimes I'll check the console at the start of 6 after barely killing the nemesis and my weapon options are like a vector 20rd, pulse scanner and junk like that. why would anyone continue? I respect the guys who love to challenge themselves, but I am not wired that way. I have nothing to prove to myself by getting very far. very little is gained if I can do speedruns faster and keep doing them? make sense?
Well for me and my friend, we'll keep going because we're long time COD Zombies players, so repeatedly smashing our heads against a wall, trying to make a jank loadout work is kinda our jam. lol

Yeah, there are times when we don't and we'll play something else. Ugh, Descent has so much potential. I haven't played Warframe in ages, stopped around the time that they nerfed the Zoren copter into the ground.
I miss the way zombies used to be. The last version I played with my good friend was perhaps black ops or blk ops 2? I know for sure we did the one called kino? Is that the one with pack a punch in the starting area? The theater one was okay. Tranzit was a nightmare and was that where we stopped? Was tranzit on blk ops 2?
Depends on the size of the group. On first loops, if you pick heroic rooms in a group of four, it takes 2 mags to kill a red enemy)
If you fight Nemesis after loop 7 - it's a walk in the park
how often does the talent pool rotate? it can't be once per week can it? otherwise we could get fucked by some trash pool
IMO the higher the loop goes, the easier to reroll for talents you want because you'd get a ton of currency to do that. so I don't really see the point of removing some powerful talents from the pool... unless Massive's goal is to screw players over
They initially intended to rotate it once a week, but all talent pools suck - I can't make my destroyer build anymore. There are always, at least, 4-6 talents missing
Also, first 4 red talents are always the same (not a single one, which I need) so it's only 8 talents, which really rotate
And, based on the screenshots I took from all loot pools - I'm 95% done with this mode

By being able to reach the Nemesis faster, you are in fact handicapping yourself more than you already are because the rng is really bad? So what I mean is even if you reach nemesis at the end of loop 5, there is already a good chance you have bad weapons and talents/exo talent(s). Each lower level room rewards you with less currency to buy armor, ammo, etc. so say you even do get a good run and each room has a talent you can use, then you won't have enough for extra talent slots and so on. So then you are forced to play the more difficult rooms with poor gear in the hopes of gaining more money and to maintain the loop 5 nemesis fight.
I know that I'm not a majority with my opinion and I'm definitely not a minority either. I also fall into a unique category due to my disabilities. I just wanna have a place where I can switch off the world, go a few loops, try and quench my completionist desires for all of the blueprints and have FUN. Sadly, this is not fun. As stated numerous times before, if you get a nemesis who has healing stuff or stinger hives, etc and they are able to deploy double turrets, hives striker drones, you just spent that time for nothing. There is nothing self gratifying in this. The ONLY reason why I am in this mode is for reconstructed caches. Whether that makes me the minority or majority of players who do it, I don't know. All I know is for me personally, locking things behind one particular mode in its very nature is not appealing.
imo just avoid select drone and turret, have long range weapon like AR or LMG, it's good to go for nemesis run, all you need is polish basic play skill, talent didn't weighted too much at early loop

I did notice that. Generally I don't go past Nemesis just because I dont have hours to spend on uninterrupted play. But, I enjoy group play more than solo. I'm fairly comfortable with the speedrun strategy to reach Nemesis solo. If you're in a group (let's say 4 just cause), should my strategy (choice of weapons/talents/stat upgrades) change? I noticed some weapons that feel good solo don't feel good in groups and vice versa.
If you don't have drones/turret, he generally won't either. If you have the decoy or revive hive, he MIGHT have some other variation which can be annoying. But if you have riot foam and decoy as well as trauma, and you chain together the different skills/status effects along with special ammo, he should go down pretty quick assuming you're solo. Another skill option is jammer pulse. If he throws out annoying skills jam it.

I did a couple of nemesis runs yesterday on the pts and actually found it faster than the usual version: because there's a much more limited pool of talents, you're more to find the ones you want (as long as they're in the pool obv) which means you can stack them up far more easily, using fewer talent slots in the process. If you get lucky to get lots of Normal rooms you can get to nemesis by the end of loop 4, which knocked about 10m off my usual completion time (45m down to 35 or so)
no, they just need to remove the exotics based off of use or take a poll. if ubisoft/massive is SERIOUS about listening to their base, then this would be a step in the right direction. And not just have a pts for pc. there are more console players than pc, just a numbers thing. so this rotation needs to be abandoned or it will turn out to be like summit. passionate players will keep playing for whatever their reason is, but casuals, which make up the majority of the base, will avoid summit, descent, etc. it is like the inability to matchmake for raids. this puts off a lot of people. let's face it, a lot of gamers are loners. me being one of them. whilst I enjoy good company, I don't want to either hinder or be hindered by the way someone else enjoys playing. I am NOT selfish. It is NOT my way or the highway. Changing descent as they are is their way of saying, play it during this time and not that time later. Oh, you're only free from work for 4 hours, but this rotation sucks.. Well, feelsbadman. Who does that?
I don't mind the pool rotation itself, but its stuck to the same pool at the same time of day each day i'll be annoyed since i have to work the same time every day soooo, that means i'll never get to try out different pools.
as a side note to this, I think someone else reccommended this the other day. Having a NSA upgrade where you get to burn off a talent so that it never shows up and increase the likelyhood of a specific talent to appear. this might help that a bit.
yeah I agree that locking the pools to a fixed 24hr cycle is a ridiculous idea, but hopefully it's a PTS thing and won't carry into the live game

Side Rant, I'm SO SICK of getting skills hacked. Like I love skill builds the most, but in like MOST end game content except legendary missions, they're not viable, it's annoying. Descent included with nemesis.
yeaaah, I mean I like rogue like games sometimes, so i do find it fun generally, but they need to increase the rewards, at least guarantee a reconstructed cache on the first nemesis clear each week. I'd be okay with that. My only problem with this one is there's no checkpoint system. I would LOVE to push higher floors, I jsut dont have that kind of uninterrupted time.
No, what really sucks is when we use a healing chem pauncher, we will be lucky to get one to two bars of armor back if used on a red attribute run. when a nemesis is down to .0001% health, they can shoot that at their feet and get 100% health and armor back. This is not challenging gameplay. it is unbalanced

last night I had a nemesis throw 3 decoys at the same time from the very back of the arena (where we spawn) next to me near the generator next to the white house. they can throw turrets and hives that distance as well. it is like watching a trainwreck when they throw grenades, skills, etc. you can't help but watch with your mouth open and watch those things fly like they have wings.
thats a nightmare, that only happened when i was in a group

Wanna make Descent more appealing, here are some suggestions. Players THEMSELVES can decide whether or not they want to use these options as to avoid it being a set change:
- Allow a 4th Exotic choice in the NSA Table (we have a 4th talent option and 4th Skill/Weapon, no need to stop there. It is either all or none.)
- Allow the ability to spend our own currency on rerolling Exotic, Weapon and Skill options. It is our money and if I want to spend it on trying to get something better than a 20rd vestor, grey pistol, pulse ball, deflector drone, empathic resolve, glass cannon or kinetic momentum, then I should be able to do so
- Add Specialization Grenades as we have Specialty Ammo. Make it a fair price, not ridiculous and not broken
Remember, this should be accessible to anyone who earns the credits, both NSA and Descent Currency. Whether or not you decide to take advantage of those things is on you. You have to learn how to balance the money on ammo, armor kits, reroll, etc. By others using these perks, it doesn't negate your skill level if you don't use my mentioned suggestions

Same. Stacking doesn't provide you with bonuses in such short fights we have in descent
it can make entertainingly short work of the nemesis if you plan your weapon switches effectively, I made sure I had max stacks before starting the fight with him (sticking to a classic m1a for versatility), got close and switched to my shotgun and killed him in 2 hits
Shotgun one shot everything and move on in less than 35 sec always works nice (if stupid NPCs aren't stuck behind doors)
boss arenas generally annoying laid out for that purpose

We still don't know how often the rotation will change on live servers (if they keep it). They have to be short for PTS as it's only open for a few days.
for my yellows I do trauma and then eyeless. braced (only if unhinged appears). others like the rpm emote (stability) and lucky shot if I have weapons I'm stuck with that have low ammo capacity or terrible recoil. reds I prefer composure, vigilance, overwatch (even has a negative side effect), unhinged and allegro (I always grab it whenever possible) I never ever choose blues unless I spawn with it and that will be my only blue. But rng is so brutal, last night I fought the nemesis on loop 5 with vigilance 3 and unhinged 1. every room I went to for the speedrun was blue and yellow. when I did get other reds, it was the crap ones for me like pummel as it is useless against a single target, which is all I focus on on my path. I don't need squad buffs, regicide and so on as you don't benefit from headshot damage explosion with one target. lol
yeaaah, I usually take unhinged and vig guaranteed, and allegro. Composure is hit or miss for me, since i run and gun a lot solo. The only blues I really want are preservation and Entrench, theyve saved my runs on so many occasions. Yellow I'm pretty similar to you, trauma, eyeless/sadist, lucky shot, I also like optimized for unhinged over braced (same reason as composure, I run around a lot). But it's rare that i ever get ALL of these while speedrunning.
In 5 years, I can't recall many if any times they changed things from pts for the good. Because these devs have to balance pvp with pve, they have already reverted the empress international skill damage from a potential 20% back to its original and current 10%. Many years ago we were told that all gear would 100% drop with the second attribute to match the core. So if a providence dropped, it would 100% drop crit, wep handling, etc. They then changed their minds after pts and never changed it. They also told us not long ago they would add 15% wep damage to picaros and then they haw and hemmed their way to an explanation. I do not trust a thing they say until it is done. this is why I avoid giving feedback to them.

The rotation HAS to be short on PTS, as it's only live for 3 days, but it could be on a weekly or daily rotation for all we know when it goes live, because those servers are always up.
And I don't believe they written anywhere how long the rotations will be on live servers.
my point is regardless of how they end up dropping their new idea of what is fun or practical for their paying customers in Descent, history has shown us it is never as they say. That's all. Unless someone can give me an example where these devs have subverted our expectations in a positive way, which I am unable to do, then I expect the worst and if something good happens, bonus. I gave feedback for Heartland in the suggestion area and was immediately attacked by people. Not a "we'll just agree to disagree" but insanity ensued. All of my suggestions are ones that are optional. Kind of like me with brain damage who suffers from seizures. I would like to have an option that turns off the seasonal level visual. a way to reduce the lasers and flashbangs that blind us. now they added a flashing visual to descent when we clear a loop. See what I mean?

SHD Watch Level up and season level up, I wish I could disable those alerts/have them reduced somehow, they take up screen and I cannot be bothered to look at the animation anymore.
Reduce flashing (it would have to be by letting you change color/brightness). A lot of games suffers from this, as an avid CS player myself, I hate flashes the most. Mainly it's the high pitch sound for me, as I suffer from high pitch tinnitus. I'm not advocating for that to be taken away, that would be gamebreaking, but let me pick another tone.

I have tinnitus too but it's been there my whole life (probably in connection to being deaf in the left ear). I've never been bothered by it bc it's all I've ever known
I've had tinnitus for as long as I can remember (since I was 10ish, so possibly my whole life).
I can get tinnitus-induced headaches if I don't take care of myself, don't sleep enough, stay hydrated etc., as I'm less capable of blocking it out. I have meds to dampen it if it gets to that point.
The pitch of tinnitus is different. Mine is around 12.000 hz, which often gets affected by the high pitch sound associated with flashbangs in videogames or explosions in movies/series (when they have to simulate the character being deaf from the explosion).
Ironically, I cannot watch Baby Driver, a movie where the main character has tinnitus and has to listen to music to block it out, because the pitch they use when music isn't rolling makes my own tinnitus spiral out of control.

Thing is about tinnitus is that:
Technically everyone has it (information from the specialist I went to). The severity is determined by your brain's capacity to tone out sounds you don't need to process. Tinnitus can be induced by hearing impairments and how well your brain is at filtering out the tones varies. As for example it gets worse for me if I don't take enough care.
The tinnitus tone/pitch/sound people hear is different aswell. I've seen it described as the sound your hear when you listen in a seashell, a windy sound, but for me specifically it's that high pitch. I know it's around 12.000 hz, because if I take a sound frequency test, around that level I still feel the sound, but don't hear it anymore as it aligns with my tinnitus. I have no hearing damage.
All that combined with my ADHD-PI (and from that problems with auditory processing), it's rough, but managable. I just like to put out my "credentials" when asking for accessibility options related to it hehe.
One of the most annoying things about my case is sensitivity to white noise and electrical noise. For example I cannot use ANC in any headphones, as they're white noise based and I can clearly hear the pitch/it interferes with my tinnitus. I also cannot wear headphones that are on, but has no sound running through them, as the speakers still receive electricity and I can hear that.
I'm a speshimen, that's for sure 
Holy hell. I don't know if you take medication specifically for ADHD but a lot of those types of medicines can exacerbate tinnitus. And yeah My tinnitus is the super duper high frequency thing too

You choose your exo based on the loops before the nemesis? I've never tried that before. If my 3 choices suck, I skip. Like bloodsucker is cool but against a single target like nemesis, it's useless to me.
Regicide really isn't for the nemesis it's more for fun after it if I want to continue

makes sense. I wanna say the last time I ever proceeded past nemesis was the first week or two when this mode dropped. between the multiple spawns after 5, poor rng, low recon rate I said, find a different guinea pig for your lab tests. lol
and that was probably the best time to have done long runs because things like allegro were a lot higher spawn rate, etc. then they had to go and add skill talents as exo's, etc

Isn't the problem with skills in descent the same with any other mode on higher difficulties - enemies like to avoid them :)
if I was going to run with 4 players and hope to get high loops, I would only want dps. it is really the only viable way to kill at the much higher levels. I used to watch streamers up in the 70's, etc and the enemies were spongebob squarepants and skills just bounced off of them. I guess a cc player could be effective using foam and say the firefly that breaks weakpoints?
On high loops only DPS is important. If you don't kill everything in doors and you let enemies flank your buddies - you're useless for the team

An Arena has at least one wave of regular enemies followed by a boss wave. Relatively speaking, if you consider the Nemesis a big boss, then yes, it is a miniboss

I've been playing descent all week no issues but today got hit with two back to back deltas on loop 1...

why couldn't they just add more talents instead?
maybe they need more time to assess what is fair price of recon cache, after all it's significant influence whether people go for long run or short run

Because gear lock is an easy change for them to make and Descent - in general aswell - is messy to change, it's haphazardly put together codewise.
They probably want to push the talent rotation to live and get more stats on it - or they wanna address it in a larger post.

A theory of mine? They mentioned in a state of the game, that they wanted to reduce the amount of time people spent in Descent pr. Run (was said after they mentioned how difficult it is to implement a checkpoint system).
Less talents, less time picking. Get to Nemesis quicker, which is their goal. But that's a weak theory.
I think they want to see stats from live and work from there, since they already spent time on getting the system in place.
As I've stated multiple times down in the PTS channels when we talked about it there, I never believed for a second they would remove the rotation - but maybe they will listen to how it can be improved upon.
Less talents to pick? Ok, no problem, but I choose the talents for the rotation myself, not them
I keep circling back to there being no checkpoints, I want to be able to leave and come back. I would do so much Descent if that was possible, but I can't even be bothered going for nemesis for the lore as of right now
Think they're improving the lore dumps so first weekly run gets up to 4 comms if you're behind, I'll probably start doing weekly nemesis runs if I'm right about this. It definitely was quicker on the pts too, reached nemesis at the end of loop 4 and shaved 10m off my usual time of 40-45m

i wish skill builds were more viable. But didn't I read somewhere that in longer a run goes on, the more necessary it is for at least one skill that can distract enemies like a turret/drone? If you're using them, wouldn't you get skill tiers for them too?
they're not really necessary, you'd rather take revive hive and something like riot foam or shock trap to apply status instead, because eventually enemies will be so strong you can't risk them firing a single bullet

high loop + nice talents + Delta 03 + no reconnect option = we can't add reconnect, too much work
I don't mind Nemesis being strong, but I really hate when you get a bad loop and they have infinite heal and heal fully with one use.
My build doesn't do that so why should theirs, if they're supposed to be some sort of anti-matter version of the player.
Not talking about the armor kit, but when they get the healing skill
if select revive hive most likely nemesis would use restore hive, if select pulse/decoy/shield nemesis would use random skill including healing type
Thatโs why I always use blender firefly and fire sticky bomb to force copy the nemesisโ one so no healing. Never use the hive if you just want a fast 5-loop run. The guaranteed skill copyโs are blender firefly and any variant of sticky bomb.

How long would it take to reach loop 40 in a group of 3 or 4?
5 to 8 hours based on how good the team is and how long you take breaks
if you know the synergy and pick talents fast - 3 hours to loop 30 + about 60-70 minutes to get to loop 40 (almost without breaks)

I like it, but I only ever do short nemesis runs - means I can stack a few useful talents higher with minimum rerolling or having to unlock more talent slots. I appreciate for long runs it's far far worse.

I play mostly for fun and testing stuff. Most fun I had was testing a LMG unlimited ammo hack (joke), which used Lucky Shot + Allegro + (that talent that refills every 3 kills) or Chatterbox exotic
However it also needed to have some weapon handling talents, which are split among the rotation, so even some "for fun" runs wouldn't be able to work as much.
Pummel is the talent and yeah, certain talents are needed to go far. My loop 39 run, I got Chatterbox first, got the rpm maxed out and then got Bullet hell along with Breathe Free. I barely used ammo thanks to Chatterbox and I could shoot fast and forever
and Steady Handed is an absolute must for me. Blinded, Trauma, the fire damage talent, SH & Opportunistic are my go to ever time. No Opp on loop 30, good luck taking down Rogues before their sniper turret one shots you

with steady handed, yes
Steady Handed makes a shotgun into a sniper rifle at higher tiers
LMG with lucky shot and bigger magazine just shoots non-stop (when mixed with steady)
Lmg doesn't work on 30+ loop. Not enough damage

yeah, it's because shotguns deal so much more damage and has more talents that also buff your damage if you use them

me personally, i use classic m44
sniper? it is easy to solo while using a snipeR?
but it's not hard and fast, also consider breathe free as well which would need slow rpm weapons
going up to loop 30+ solo is a big ask but yeah it can be done

no it's still very strong, but dealing with rogues in 31+ i find that it favors burst damage a lot more and plague doesn't give that
mmm okay. id probably deal with rogues the same way i'd fight nemesis? or is it really different?
with the best setup we got currently (which we're probably not gonna get in TU20 anymore) we can burn them down quite fast
it's the same except:
- rogues can't hack skills
- rogues will spam skills a heckin lot
the best way to deal with them is preventatively, which is status effects
don't let them do anything when they get out the door
mmm, i try to do something like that with nemesis too, decoy, riot foam, trauma, apply plague stacks, switch to high damage weapon and let him melt
rogues always spawn in n+1 so you need to deal with them faster than nemesis

my biggest problem is getting lots of good talent and damage rolls that i get cocky and stop playing smart then die...
it all comes with time, trust the process ๐ the fact that you know what you know now and being here means you're a lot more capable than the average dude
I will say after playing in a few different group sizes that 2players is a pretty good sweet spot for enemy difficulty rating and having a teammate to revivie you if you make a mistake. 4p was pretty brutal in the beginning.
you do want high group sizes though, assuming your team is skilled enough the best strat is for each one to guard a spawn door
with solo you can only spawn camp one
once you overcome the initial dps check and each one of you gets decently high tier intimidate it's smooth sailing from there until 31
I liked the one with Unhinged and no Braced or Steady Handed. lol
And don't forget the same 4 useless red talents, which never change - crit chance / crit damage / allegro / headshot damage increase (forgot its name)
Crit Chance isn't bad, per se, if you pair with Obliterate.
I've never really saw a benefit from Concussion, Precise or Rifleman

Allegro is just for silly fun if I had Chatter and Lucky, Steady and the ACS-12.
If you have Chatty, Allegro is just a slot waste, which you could have used to increase your damage even more

lol. You have to have braced and steady for that. I had Intimidate, Unhinged, Optimist, Allegro, Gunslinged and I think Composure. Leadership to get the bonus armor to kick it off and swap for gunslinger it was a bunch of fun
Died when I found a wall that doesn't stop bullets. Have died in the spot several times. I apparently haven't learned my lesson. lol
So, i've matchmade a few times and people say they want to farm caches/credits quickly. This to me means get to nemesis asap only stopping to do boss rooms rinse and repeat. But, they still only do hard rooms the whole time making the process 3 times longer. Am I the only one that thinks getting to nemesis asap killing him, and resetting is more efficient than taking the long way?

Thatโs a gap of 49 blueprints with the new max.

The weapons with * on S10 and S11: it seems the intention was to provide the named blueprints, because SIX12 and Magnum 686 are duplicated in my list (these 4 named are being added today to Descent - Lefty, Stage Left, Relic, Prophet).

I don't have the tenacity to push for longer descent runs without checkpoints. I feel like the mode only really opens up once you start getting a good amount of upgrades through NSA tech, which is a feedback loop of time investment.

the current pool's not that bad, it has most of the talents I use to get to nemesis.
- When you switch weapons plague disappears. So you have to build the stacks all over again. 2. If you fight a boss with plague and he meds up, plague disappears.

Descent is unplayable on PC, the lag on the npc's spawning, and when they do they're invisible. the constant freezing but still taking damage. The garbage rework on the Pestilence exotic talent. and the and what does the curated talents solve? I've got well over 180k in nsa currency this was my fav game mode. they've ruined a good thing here. If any of the dev or the div team cares probably not , but feel free to reach out I'd welcome a constructive conversation on the descent game mode
I was able to get one nemesis run in today no issues but tried a second one got booted on loop 4

Made it to loop 23 with friend in a Duo, using the Gluttony pool. Somewhat workable, not as terrible as I thought it would be at around loop 10. FIrst few loops were rough, very few reds, and Doctor Home for the exotic

Is there a resource for the descent somewhere? Info on best perks/weapons etc?
CC helps a lot: fire bullets on a slow firing weapon is popular, as is the trauma talent if you can get it. Other than that, just have to play smart, learn their movement patterns, and make the most of whatever buffs you have available.
Skill are as useful as ever since they emp you on the start of the fight
That wears off reasonably quickly though and you can get use out of some skills if you're intelligent about it. You definitely want to be mainly focused on weapon damage though. Plan ahead and pick talents that will help more (so not 'on kill' ones)
With practice a nemesis run only takes maybe 30-40m solo so it's pretty quick
if you can get riot foam, get it, if you have to sacrifice a good gun choice to get it, get it

Hah I always avoid riot foam as I really don't want to be foamed myself. Firestarter chem is great for one shotting spawn doors on early loops and not a big threat when nemesis uses it against you though
it's easy to dodge foam though, but it's so much more beneficial for you
A build with trauma, eyeless and sadistic feels like a good one
plus it's not even guaranteed they copy your skills

That was my experience also. Killed the Nemesis just after loop 4. Gained one level only.
It used to be 3.5 levels pre-patch (sometimes 3, sometimes 4), killing the Nemesis after loop 5.

Agonizing + chatter + Payment in kind (if the damage is enough for killing, so you don't bleed non-stop)
