I'll explain the 2 errors I can remember rq: First off, it's 2017 and not 2015
Second off the ending of Hello Engineer is wrong but then again it was written right after the game came out so we couldn't have known better about what was going on in the ending
and ignore the thing about the Guest being a "entity of greed or envy" and HN2

it's missing Hello Neighbor: Search and Rescue, Hello Neighbor 2, Welcome to Raven Brooks and the one who made the document didn't really like what Welcome to Raven Brooks was doing to the story (even though everything is still canon somehow)

and S&R/HN2 had parts of the WtRB Story implemented in them kinda

For me personally, the annoying thing about how Hello Neighbor's story is that, because of how vague it is and how often things get retconned, changed, Re-Written, etc, it gets really confusing to keep up with the story and know what things happen when and if certain things mean the same thing anymore.

My personal thoughts on The Thing is that I have no clue how major it is to the overall story but because it was the main villain of the original game, how supernatural and strange the story has gotten and the heavy emphasis on it's existence and threat at the end of third episode I hope it's something more than just a representation of trauma.

One thing that has never fully been understood in the first game is that at the end, before you get the last cutscene, you see a house with Mr Peterson trapped on one side and The Thing blocking the door on the other side, still to this day, I have no clue what that meant.

Pre-Alpha to Alpha 2 were basically complete by the time they actually released the Pre-Alpha

however they hadn't had enough time when Alpha 3 dropped to make Alpha 4 so the development suddenly slowed down a lot

I honestly love how characterized The Thing is in episode 3, it feels like it has its own mind and personality and that honestly makes it an even more scary villain.

Hello Neighbor in itself isn't very scary, the most scared I get normally from Hello Neighbor is simply just jumping to a sudden jumpscare but The Thing in episode 3 was the only time ever in this franchise that I felt legitimately terrified!

You have no clue what it is, it can show up literally anywhere and can easily blend in and hide in dark environments meaning you never know when it's going to show up which is honestly a terrifying concept for anything horror.
