i want to build a odst suit and i wanted to 3d print it but this is my first time every doing anything like this and i was gonna start with the helmet on sunday but i dont know what colors i want i was planning on black gunmetal and maybe some white and red but i dont know exactly how id colour it all how should i experiment? im thinking about printing out a picture of an odst thats blank and just coloring it in with pencil crayons and seeing how it looks

You could try opening MCC or Infinite and trying out how their colours look on ODST armour, and seeing where the colours are placed.

i ended up finding a picture on pinterest and then colouring it in with microsoft paint and seeing how it looks and i have the colors i had in mind on it and it looks cool but idk if its "odst" enough you know

Always been a fan of the McFarlane halo figures from back in the day. Wish they still made figures but JazWares does a good job too.

As a whole though, I’d say my favorite type of merch is clothing that looks like UNSC surplus. i.e. the Fleetcom Exchange line from back when the Halo TV series was a thing and the Wolverine x Halo boots.

Also a fan of stuff that don’t scream “this is a thing from Halo”, like the King Ice Halo ring. To the standard onlooker it looks pretty normal but iykyk

If one of those get broken or a little abused they have backups. Rumor for the last e3 was that ms was going to announce a wireless mr headset of their own design for the xb1x and that it wasn’t bundled initially because of sticker shock. Maybe that’s why a new console is already being talked about now? Maybe h infinite might launch this next one with mr/vr support.

With 2020 probably seeing the halo tv series and infinite and then 2021 being the 20th anniversary of halo, the next three years are going to be real interesting for halo products.

Aside from that look up anything along the lines of "ODST Cosplay Helmet construction" on YouTube and you'll find dozens of step by step videos. Theres one guy who does foam builds of stuff all the time and even has templates

I did get the Level 3 Chief kit and I’ve done a little bit of basic paint work on it. Trying to repaint the weapons but I covered them in an annoyingly thick coat of crappy acrylic paint so I’m probably going to look for some sort of remover before I finish up.

@vocal shell yeah unfortunately some of the joints are pretty fragile, a reason they changed scale starting at the Reach line. If you’re having a problem with a joint that won’t bend/turn I suggest putting it in the freezer for a few hours. The temperature difference sometimes frees the binding.

The x really does make a difference. I’m not someone with glasses but imagine you need them. You take them off and you’re like. It’s so hard to see! Xbox one x is like glasses. My reaction to being on an Xbox one s while my x was for repairs: “am i playing on the 360?”0
