Aim Assist was introduced for Mouse and Keyboard during the Winter Update.

Many changes were made, but one was missing

If a controller player is playing, they have aim assist all the time

However, if a mouse is moved on the computer even a little, the aim assist will be gone.

I think the new update that allows for MnK aim assist to be turned off fixed that, but I'm not sure.

Anyways, that's a thing. I suffered sometimes because of it during the Winter Update.

And, from my own experience, you can't turn Aim Assist back on unless you restart the game.

This is one factor

The other factor, which should be no surprise to anybody, is that Halo can crash

Why the crashes were a lot more frequent during Salt Lake City '24 is beyond me

But they were happening a lot, even outside of SSG matches

So. My theory as for why this happened, is that a mouse was left plugged to the PC, and it registered movement, taking over the controller's input, and removing aim assist until the game was rebooted.

Halo Infinite’s Mainframe integrity is questionable as it’s not always stable, random freezing or crashes are well known to occur at any ungiven notice.

Like for example Halo Infinite has been recently known to get stuck in an endless loading map loop, where you see the map startup but the music begins to fade and your basically left with the ooo and awww as the camera pans around the different locations of said loaded map.

This is what we saw happen this year during worlds

Unfortunately once again it just so happened when SSG was just about to begin the match against Optic Gaming.

With so much prize money on the line as well as every competing teams reputation any one of them would be caught dead to cheat.

ok my roster predictions for the 2025 season. I'm not an insider and i have no info whatsoever so this is just a silly guess. Shopify: Cykul, kuhlect, LastShot, Druk. FaZe: Snakebite, R2, Frosty, Suppressed. SSG: Eco, Stellur, Lucid, Trippy. Optic: Formal, Renegade, Legend, Bound. Another team could be: Lethul, Penguin, Bubu, Falcated. Also i'd love to see Sparty, Barcode and aPG teaming up

let's see how many of these i'll get right lol

anyway i've seen pros advocating for a BR evo for next season, i'd love that tbh. On mnk i feel much better with the bandit but the BR is so iconic, all it needs is less effective range and probably less aim assist. I think that a meta change with all these roster changes would make the new season even more interesting.

@arctic quiver @somber swift I also started with CE. Wouldn’t want to play CE again but LANs before Xbox Live are unbeaten. Some of my favorite Halo memories. Got into competitive Halo at the end of H3 and Reach beginning. Those two are at the top with Infinite for me. I feel like we are the minority on this though. Most people drag Infinites name through the mud constantly.

I loved the feel of halo 3. Reach came out and it felt amazing too! Mechanics wise each game feels pretty good.
I would argue that 4 is my least favorite gameplay wise. I do love 5, but it plays so differently compared to the other halos. As does infinite.
I think mechanics wise Infinite is definitely one of the best.

I love infinite sniper the most as it feels the most rewarding to use.

I am wondering with the switch to "Halo Studios" and one of the channels saying that the studio is in talks with "several organizations for partner teams" do we think that Halo is throwing some weight behind this next HCS year to see if that moves the needle in viewership?

My personal feelings is that Halo Studios is closer to the next Halo on Unreal than we think. Could just be a ported version of Infinite and an extension of the game like CS2 or Overwatch 2, but I think we are close. So I think the studios is pushing for HCS to grow it to hit the ground running in a year when the next game comes out. My two cents.

Oh I can see that happening.. Didn’t think of that from that angle before. That’s a good thought process.. A infinite port to unreal would be a good way to get people back to come back and see how it goes and HCS would be a good way to advertise it too

If the Prize Pool is symbolic or 0 : its for fun or practice for everyone.

There is an 8v8 btb tournament on Halo infinite organized by the welovebtb community.
You can register your team (minimum 8 players to 12 players : 4 replacement players) .
There are French teams (like Kfr, Bh3), European teams (catsmile gaming), and American teams (finest) and others participating.

You can join whenever you want.
It's in a league/season format. It's 1 match per week.
The first 10 teams in the rankings are qualified for the BTB Lan located in France.

just to let you know: it's like ranked btb with bandit evo start, and no heavy vehicle (just ghost, mangoust, warthog).
