Team War came out on top for the lower-tiered gaming teams, and the current Spacestation roster is comprised of the former Pittsburgh Knights, the champions of Mexico's HCS

SSG sounds like it will have the same problem it had as before with their coach subbing in. If so, getting in might be tough. I would have to imagine that Fnatic, Complexity, and Ascend get in leaving one spot for the last five teams.

I was going to hold off but whatever, this Worlds format for Halo is terrible. Why are we getting barely any matches? Only the top two across four pools make it into bracket play, bottom two eliminated. This is all decided off of three bo5 matches for this high of stakes??

Your first post is almost correct. You’re thinking too much has changed.

In the lower bracket, Loser 1 doesn’t play Loser 2. Loser 1 plays A3, Loser 2 plays B3, etc.

Possibly. I think the bigger issue is likely only two streams going and with the extra four series, that is two hours more of streaming. So the trade off would be less games on stream if they did it. I feel like it’s way too quiet for Worlds coming up. Feels like having the Top1 teams from each region that didn’t qualify for pool play to go to worlds and then to have a last chance qualifiers in each region with the winning team going would have been much more hype. Game is hurting as Open players aren’t playing like they normally would be.

It isn’t so much about a short wait for fans to watch the pro teams. It is about there is nothing going on for AM players and the community is kind of at a stand still in terms of anything Halo. Just waiting for Worlds. Wish stuff was happening.

I honestly get why they are mad. They thought the prize pool would go from 1M to like 1.5M or something. If they had a number like that in their head, they are looking at it like the 80 players just lost a collected half a million dollars. Really sucks. With that said, it’s a very short sighted view. They want the extra money AND more events next year. It’s easy to ask for everything you want and to get frustrated when you don’t get it but it’s hard for them to see that Infinite needs to spread its limited resources out to make this viable for pros over a long period of time.

Waypoint says no outside food or drink allowed. Does this include not allowed to bring in your own water?

Theres water fountains inside the con center, at least, there WERE when I was there last two years ago

If its anything like ECCC or Sakuracon (both held in the same building) you'll get a badge or something on entry that should let you go in and out of the building as you see fit.

There was an issue in the Ascend/Eunited pool play match yesterday where an Ascend player had issues, which was apparently determined to be a headset unplug due to his own error and a reset was not put in place... Bit of a controversial thing and a statement was put out for it, but I could easily see the rumor mill turning that into "Optic Player Banned"

You’ll get it eventually. Same thing happened with my primal glory coating the first time it dropped. Searched internets for fix and they won’t do anything about it, they can’t. Eventually like weeks later, it appeared in my inventory. & I wouldn’t be surprised if there will be other ways to obtain it in the future.

I'd say just grinding and getting better at mechanics like aiming and sliding/skill jumps/Map movement. If you have a team or people to play with try to get better at communicating and working together (maybe finding a specific role- not everyone can do everything)- callouts are important also. Strafing is also key, and just knowledge of the game is essential for outplays and efficiency.

Aside from the obvious. spawns, and how to manipulate them with your positioning is huge. Understanding how to play off your team with crosses more than just holding their hand the whole match. You can’t really teach game sense. Just grind and find people along the way that play on a similar wavelength and push each other. Reviewing post game footage in theater is a tool you should be taking advantage of as well.
